How far can toxicity lead us to act in an unwise way and what can be the worst consequences of our actions?
I do not know if there are levels of toxicity, I suppose there are, although this does not mean that any of them is better than another or healthier than another. Toxicity is toxicity wherever it goes.
Let it go this movie was released in 2020 but, it is now when I see it and according to the critics, it is now when it is appreciated by the audience.
The movie stars two great actors Diane Lane and Kevin Costner who play Margaret and George Blackledge.
At the beginning of this plot we are introduced to Margaret's psychological profile. A regal woman, of imposing character, possessive, controlling and a little more. She is also a noble, kind-hearted and passionate woman.
Just by watching the first part of the film, I had the impression of encountering a toxic woman.
It turns out that Margaret's son lives with his wife and their little baby in the same house. The young woman has no autonomy in that place, not even with her little son can she act freely because the mother-in-law (Margaret) is in charge. Margaret is one of those women who says: "That's not the way to do it, leave it to me"....
In the first minutes of the film, Margaret and her daughter-in-law quarrel because the latter does not know how to prepare the shower for the baby.
Soon an event comes along that changes the course of destiny. Margaret's son dies when he falls off a horse, leaving her son a widow and an orphan, and from then on, the family's worst nightmare begins to unfold.
After a while, young Lorna marries another man. The baby's grandparents had been in contact with the child but, overnight, the husband, an abusive man, decides to take Lorna and the child to an unknown place.
The man's decision is due to Margaret's pursuit and the details she manages to observe. The man, the husband of her former daughter-in-law, was physically abusing his wife and also his grandson.
Obviously, the fact generates noise in Margaret and it is then when she decides to undertake the search to find her grandson to bring him back home with or without his mother.
Margaret's arbitrary decision compromises George, her husband. Even so, George understands Margaret's suffering and gets involved in the blind search for his little grandson.
The search was not as easy as Margaret thought it would be. It turns out that the family of her grandson's stepfather was controlled by a woman more toxic than Margaret, she is Blanche Weboy.
This woman's wickedness knows no bounds, she dominates her children and the town where they reside at her whim. She is aware of everything that happens with his son and wife, she is aware of the mistreatment, of the lousy relationship they have and what the baby represents for them, practically a hindrance.
The struggle between the two families is hard, it is hard to see how they are struggling.

I loved this movie, the message it carries is significant, from several points of view we observe the drama and tragedy, pain and confrontation. In this plot there are few characters so it can be understood very well. The scenery and costumes are beautiful, according to the story.
It is sad to lose a child and sad to lose a grandchild. It is also sad to live with the uncertainty of a stranger stealing the peace of a helpless loved one like a child.
I give this movie 10 stars I recommend it!

¿Hasta dónde puede llevarnos la toxicidad a actuar de manera desacertada y cuáles pueden ser las peores concecuencias de nuestros actos?
No sé si existen niveles de toxicidad, supongo que sí, aunque esto no quiere decir que alguno de ellos sea mejor que otro o más sano que otro. Toxicidad es toxicidad donde vaya.
Déjalo ir esta película se estrenó en el año 2020 pero, es ahora cuando la veo y segúnlos críticos, es ahora cuando es apreciada por la audiencia.
La película es protagonizada por dos grandes actores Diane Lane y Kevin Costner quienes interpretan a Margaret y George Blackledge.
Al inicio de esta trama nos presentan el perfil psicológico Margaret. Una mujer regia, de carácter imponente, posesiva, controladora y un poco más. También es una mujer noble, de buen corazón y apasionada.
Con tan sólo mirar la primera parte de la película tuve la impresión de encontrarme con una mujer tóxica.
Resulta que el hijo de Margaret vive con su esposa y su pequeño bebe en la misma casa. La joven mujer no tiene autonomía en aquel lugar, ni siquiera con su pequeño hijo puede actuar con libertad porque la suegra (Margaret) es quien manda. Margaret es una de esas mujeres que dice: "Así no se hace, déjame a mí "...
Se observa el los primeros minutos del films la disputa entre Margaret y su nuera porque ésta última no sabe preparar la ducha para el bebé.
Rapidamente llega un acontecimiento cambiando el rumbo del destino. El hijo de Margaret muere al caerse de un caballo, deja viuda y huérfano a su hijo y desde ahí comienza a vivirse la peor pesadilla para la familia.
Transcurrido un tiempo la joven Lorna contrae matrimonio con otro hombre. Los abuelos del bebé hasta ese momento mantenían contacto con el niño pero, de la noche a la mañana, el esposo, un hombre abusivo, decide llevarse a °Lorna y al niño a un lugar desconocido.
La decisión del hombre se debe a la persecución de Margaret y a los detalles que ella logra observar. El hombre, esposo de su ex-nuera maltrataba físicamente a su esposa y también su nieto.
Obviamente, el hecho genera ruido en Margaret y es entonces cuando decide emprender la búsqueda para hallar a su nieto para traerlo de vuelta a casa con o sin su madre.
La decisión arbitraria de Margaret compromete a George , su esposo. Aún así, George entiende el sufrimiento de Margaret y se involucra en la búsqueda a ciegas de sus pequeño nieto.
Las acciones comienzan a desarrollarse de manera inesperada. la búsqueda no era tan fácil como Margaret pensaba. Resultó ser que la familia del padrastro de su nieto era controlada por una mujer más tóxica que Margaret, ella es Blanche Weboy.
La maldad de esta mujer no tiene límites, domina a su antojo a sus hijos y el pueblo donde residen. Ella está al tanto de todo lo que sucede con su hijo y esposa, está al tanto de los maltratos, de la pésima relación que llevan y de lo que el bebé representa para ellos, prácticamente un estorbo.
Es dura la lucha entre ambas familias, es duro ver cómo George paga las peores consecuencias en el conflicto, más duro aún es ver el final de la guerra.
Me encantó esta pelicula, el mensaje que lleva es significativo, desde varios puntos de vista observamos el drama y la tragedia, el dolor y ña confrontación. En esta trama son pocos personajes por tal motivo puede entenderse muy bien . El escenario y vedtuario son hermosos, van acorde con la historia.
Es triste perder a un hijo y triste perder a un nieto. Es triste también vivir con la incertidumbre de que un desconocido le robe la paz a un ser querido indefenso como lo es un niño.
Doy 10 estrellas a esta película lLa recomiendo!
