Hey Movie and TV Show fanatics,
Here is my entry for the Halloween Contest organized by the Movies & TV Shows community. I can no longer hide the fact that this happens to be my favorite community on the Hive Blockchain, and all because I am a crazy lover of movies, most especially TV Series that leave you gasping for more. I even remember how I used to be the popular guy in the group due to the fact that I always knew the latest or trending movie in town, but now it isn't the case anymore and I blame adulthood, LMAO!!!!!
So you could see why I just couldn't take a pass on the Halloween Contest, even though I am from a place where Halloween is never celebrated or even noticed.
As the contest entails that one should write a review on a horror movie of any kind, it made me feel so challenged and puzzled at the same time because I have never been a fan of horror movies or anything that would make me frightened and terrified. Right from childhood, I have always disliked scary movies and the way they made it hard for me to sleep alone or stay alone in the dark. I even remember when I had a sleepover with a couple of friends and they got me to watch THE CONJURING. Oh men, it wasn't a pleasant night for me at all, cause they teased me and laughed at how I couldn't stay awake for a couple of hours to find out how the movie ended.
Now, Tell me how can a person who has a strong phobia for horror movies write a review on a horror movie.
Well, I am super glad that the organizers of the contest made it very easy for writers by giving them the creative freedom to write about anything as long as it revolves around the theme of horror, thriller, or suspense and celebrates Halloween. So it could be a movie, series, or even a music video. Then this was when I could finally find some space to breathe. I decided to write a review on the only scary video I could watch at any given time and still not feel frightened by its content, which happens to be the music video for Michael Jackson's hit song THRILLER.
Thriller is a song produced by Quincy Jones and written by Rod Temperton because of Michael Jackson's love for horror films. The song is considered to be one of the greatest hits from the King of pop, making a total of 167,000 sales after his death in 2009, and also made it to number four on the Billboard Hot 100.

The song and video also give a very unique gothic feeling while listening to it, which leaves me with the assumption that it was written and shot during Halloween.
THE INTRO
The music video opens up with a vintage car belonging to Michael Jackson parked in the middle of the road due to some gas problem.
ALL SCREENSHOTS ARE TAKEN FROM YOUTUBE
Inside the car is Michael with his date played by Ola Ray, both coming back from a movie night at the cinema. Michael claims his car ran out of gas and suggests they both walk back home. After a few steps from the car, Michael decides to pop up a conversation, telling the girl how feels about her and hoping she feels the same way. For a young lady who followed him to the cinema at night and decided to walk back home with him, it's more than obvious that she feels the same way about him as well, so she says yes and accepts to be his girl.
Then the full moon appears and Michael turns into a werewolf.
Lol, it turns out it was just a scene from the movie being watched at the cinema by Michael and his date. The movie gets even scarier and the lady walks out, then the song stays to kick in.
The Music Continues
Michael begins to walk the lady down the road while singing at the same time.
He uses his lyric to describe the situation of things, telling the lady it's all a thriller as strange things begin to happen. The dead start to wake up from the grave since it's time for them to walk the earth and gain some fresh air in the real world.
The Choreography
As we all know that Michael Jackson is an ICON when it comes to dancing and there is no way this music video can be complete without some dance moves to supplement it. The choreography in this music video makes it a must-watch for me every single time and how Michael Jackson and Ola Ray got ambushed by the walking dead makes it even better.
Struck in the middle and surrounded by walking dead, Ola Ray turns to Michael for rescue or the next step to take, and to the fullest of her surprise Jackson had transformed into a dead man walking.
Immediately, she runs into a house that looks haunted, making the situation a whole lot worse. They break through every entrance to get her while she screams at the top of her lungs, frightened and freaking out at the same time.
Then BOOM, another twist happens, making it all seem like a bad dream or hallucination.
In the end, who knows!
