The history of the Skrull
In the comics the Skrull are a race that for millions of years were at war with the Kree race, Captain Marvel (not the captain female) comes from the Kree. The Skrull thought that in order to win the war they need to take over the earth as an outpost, but they are prevented by the Fantastic 4 (another debt with the fans) and the Avengers, then that becomes a priority when Galactus eats their planet, that's where Secret Invasion comes into play, take over the earth while living with humans.

En los comic los Skrull son una raza que por millones de años se mantenían en guerra con la raza de los Kree, el Capitán Marvel (no la capitana) proviene de los Kree. Los Skrull pensaban que para poder ganar la guerra necesitan apoderarse de la tierra como puesto de avanzada, pero se lo impiden los 4 Fantásticos (otra deuda con los fans) y los Vengadores, luego eso se convierte en prioridad cuando Galactus se come su planeta, es ahí donde entra en juego Secret Invasion, apoderarse de la tierra mientras conviven con los humanos.

What does Secret Invasion aim to achieve?

Con el resumen anterior podrán notar, si vieron la serie, que está muy alejada de lo que Stan Lee contaba en sus comics, la presencia de Galactus aun no aparece en el MCU y menos los 4 Fantásticos, es por eso que Nick Fury toma mayor protagonismo en esta serie, y al principio los fans estaban bien con eso, pero las cosas no salieron como se esperaban, ya que vemos a un Nick solo sin apoyo aparentemente, con recursos limitados, peleando contra los Skrull por algo "personal".

Ahí fue donde para mi todo se derrumbó, porque al escucharle decir que no llamaría a ningún vengador para luchar contra los Skrull me dije: 'eres Nick Fury, tu los agrupaste' osea WTF??? Ni la escena de 5 minutos donde dos super Skrull, que por cierto uno de ellos es interpretado por Emilia Clarke, fue suficiente para darle emoción a la serie, todo parecía en un principio que sería un emocionante juego de espías que develaría los intenciones Skrull desencadenando en una emocionante lucha contra un nuevo enemigo.

Pero no todo fue malo, hubo algo que me sorprendió gratamente, el personaje de Sonya Falsworth interpretado por Olivia Colman, que papelazo hizo esta actriz, una espía del servicio secreto británico, que por momentos no sabías si estaba a favor o en contra de los Skrull, o si ella misma era uno de ellos. Sus métodos de espionaje y coerción muy particulares dieron a la serie un toque de luz en los momentos mas oscuros donde sentías que morias de aburrimiento, francamente llegue al final de los 6 capítulos para saber para quien jugaba esta mujer, vaya grata sorpresa me lleve.
