¡Saludos, queridos lectores!
Si bien es cierto no soy una experta hablando de cine, pero veo películas y pues voy a hablar desde mi opinión lo que disfruté y lo que no, de este evento.
La verdad, tenía mucho tiempo sin ver los premios Oscar, no por que no me gusten, si no por que uno a veces se ocupa en tantas cosas y como dije no soy una fanática del cine, a diferencia de mi amiga @laloretoyya y mi amigo @jcrodriguez, quienes realmente tienen una pasión por el cine y justo por ellos, me animé a ver los Oscar esta vez.

It's true that I'm not an expert when it comes to cinema, but I do watch films and I'm going to talk about what I enjoyed and what I didn't enjoy about this event.
The truth is, I had a long time without watching the Oscars, not because I don't like them, but because sometimes you get busy with so many things and as I said I'm not a movie fan, unlike my friend @laloretoyya and my friend @jcrodriguez, who really have a passion for cinema and just because of them, I was encouraged to watch the Oscars this time.

Lo que si no pude ver, fue la llegada de los famosos a la Alfombra Roja, pero tampoco es algo por lo que voy a llorar xD, en esta parte es donde uno va preparando la cena o haciendo algo, mientras ve quienes van llegando.
También es la parte donde muchos medios aprovechan para realizar entrevistas, preguntar a los nominados sus expectativas y como se sienten al estar allí cerca de poder ganar un Oscar, pero también están los medios que realzan el como muchos van vestidos y critican a los peores.
Muchos famosos van realmente elegantes y ¿quién no lo haría? Son los premios de la academia, ¡ah claro! Los que no pueden faltar, esos famosos que les gusta llamar la atención o los que realmente no supieron escoger un buen atuendo, sin embargo es el estilo de cada quien a la final.
What I didn't get to see was the arrival of the celebrities on the Red Carpet, but it's not something I'm going to cry about either xD, this is the part where you prepare dinner or do something, while you see who is arriving.
It is also the part where many media take the opportunity to conduct interviews, ask the nominees their expectations and how they feel about being there close to winning an Oscar, but there are also the media that highlight how many are dressed and criticize the worst ones.
Many celebrities are really dressed up and who wouldn't? It's the Academy Awards, oh yes! Those who can't miss out, those celebrities who like to attract attention or those who really didn't know how to choose a good outfit, but it's everyone's style in the end.

¡Sí! Sin duda este era mi renglón, pues últimamente me la paso viendo con mi hija mayor películas de Disney, aunque también veo otras, pero pocas veces y bueno, estabamos felices de ver que ganó esta como mejor película animada.
Entre las nominadas estaban: Lucas y Raya, el último dragón, las cuales también hemos visto. Pero nuestra favorita para este renglón era sin duda alguna Encanto, vieron a ¿Yatra cantar la canción? Fue un encanto, para qué contarles jajaja.
Por supuesto tenían que cantar la favorita de esta película y es que aunque no era la canción principal, fue la que se nos quedó grabada en la memoria y sí, cantaron: No se habla de Bruno, con unos arreglos, que en lo personal me gustaron, aunque muchos la criticaron en las redes sociales y estuvo entre quienes cantaron Luis Fonsi.
Yes!, this was definitely my line, because lately I've been watching Disney films with my eldest daughter, although I also watch others, but rarely, and well, we were happy to see that this one won as best animated film.
Among the nominees were: Lucas and Raya, the last dragon, which we have also seen. But our favourite for this category was without a doubt Enchantment, did you see Yatra sing the song? He was a charmer, what can I tell you hahaha.
Of course they had to sing the favourite of this film and although it wasn't the main song, it was the one that stuck in our memory and yes, they sang: No se habla de Bruno, with arrangements that I personally liked, although many criticised it on social networks and Luis Fonsi was among those who sang it.

Hubieron otros premios claro. Estuve feliz de ver actores conocidos y no tan conocidos ganando premios, en especial con Jessica Chastian, quien se llevó el Oscar a mejor actriz protagonica y realmente muchos estuvieron felices y otros sorprendidos con los resultados, pues estaba en medio de varias grandes de la actuación.
Tambien fue algo lamentable y que llamó mi atención al saber que algunos no fueron invitados a los Oscars, así como también la ausencia de Leonardo Di Caprio, según por algunos comentarios que hicieron sobre su persona.
En la categoría del mejor actor, yo realmente quería que ganara Andrew Garfield, tan bello, se merece un Oscar, pero sin embargo ganó Will Smith, quien también lo tiene merecido y pues sigo su trayectoria desde el Príncipe del Rap, lo he visto crecer como actor y pasar momentos difíciles.
There were other awards of course. I was happy to see both well known and not so well known actors winning awards, especially Jessica Chastian, who took the Oscar for best actress in a leading role and many were happy and others surprised with the results, as she was in the midst of several acting greats.
It was also unfortunate that some were not invited to the Oscars, as well as the absence of Leonardo DiCaprio, according to some comments made about him.
In the best actor category, I really wanted Andrew Garfield to win, he is so beautiful, he deserves an Oscar, but Will Smith won, who also deserves it and I have been following his career since Prince of Rap, I have seen him grow as an actor and go through difficult times.

El premio a la mejor Película fue para CODA, sinceramente no la he visto pero hay una súper reseña de parte de @laloretoyya que puedes leer si no la has visto y ella estaba realmente feliz con este premio.

Ese día domingo antes de la Entrega de los premios, estuve escogiendo que otra película ver de las nominadas y bueno escogí No miren hacía arriba, para darle nuevamente una oportunidad a Leonardo, ya que hace tiempo no veo películas donde actua. No ganó nada, pero luego les hablaré de ella.
The award for Best Film went to CODA, I honestly haven't seen it but there is a great review from @laloretoyya that you can read if you haven't seen it and she was really happy with this award.

That Sunday before the awards ceremony, I was choosing which other film to watch from the nominees and well I chose Don't Look Up, to give Leonardo another chance, as I haven't seen him in a long time. It didn't win anything, but I'll tell you about it later.

Algo que no puedo dejar de mencionar ya que circula en todas las redes sociales, es el momento donde Will Smith le da una cachetada a Chris Rock, quien estaba en ese momento conduciendo la gala en el escenario. Todos quedamos sorprendido y muchos incluyéndome al inicio creímos que era una simple actuación.
Fue cuando Will vuelve a su lugar, que se ve como le grita a Chris y le da un parado ante un mal chiste que este hizo sobre su esposa, en ese momento fue cuando entendimos que no era algo actuado.
El humor negro siempre ha existido en eventos como este y sí, para algunos Chris Rock es un buen comediante, pero lo cierto es, que hace tiempo no vengo siguiendo sus "bromas" pues ofender a otros o burlarse de ellos, no debe dar gracia alguna.
Sí, Will hizo mal bofetenando a Chris en público, cuando quizás miles de niños también veían los premios Oscar, pero quien actuó mal en primer lugar fue Chris, burlándose o agrarrando para chiste la enfermedad de alguien en este caso el de la esposa de Will.
Something I can't fail to mention as it is circulating all over social media, is the moment where Will Smith slaps Chris Rock, who was at the time conducting the gala on stage. We were all shocked and many including myself at first thought it was just an act.
It was when Will returned to his place that we saw how he shouted at Chris and gave him a hard time for a bad joke he made about his wife, at that moment we understood that it was not an act.
Black humour has always existed in events like this and yes, for some people Chris Rock is a good comedian, but the truth is, I haven't been following his "jokes" for a long time, because offending others or making fun of them, should not be funny.
Yes, Will did wrong by slapping Chris in public, when perhaps thousands of kids were also watching the Oscars, but it was Chris who acted wrong in the first place, making fun of or making a joke out of someone's illness, in this case Will's wife.

Hubo mucha controversia por esto en las redes sociales, Will Smith fue tendencia en Twitter, y muchos defendían a Chris, incluso pedían que Will ya no fuera ganador al Mejor Actor y fuera expulsado del evento, lo cual no sucedió.
Jada Smith sufre una enfermedad que le causa calvicie y no es que ella me agrede mucho, pero en la vida hay que ser valiente para enfrentar al mundo cuando eres diferente o te vez diferente, me imagino con todo lo que ella debe luchar a diario y más aún siendo famosa, para que venga un comediante en plena televisión abierta a hacer bullying disfrazado de broma sobre ello.
Will Smith cuando recibió su Oscar como mejor actor luego de esto, pidió disculpas a la Academia y a los actores, pero no a Chris, quien tampoco se disculpó y sinceramente él no se merecía una disculpas. Como dio a entender Will en su discurso, no debemos solo sonreír ante este tipo de burlas:
«Por hacer lo que hacemos, hay que ser capaz de soportar abuso, que la gente hable locamente de ti. En este negocio tienes que soportar que la gente te falte al respeto y debes sonreír y pretender que está bien, pero yo siempre protegeré a mi familia, a mi esposa»

There was a lot of controversy over this on social media, Will Smith was trending on Twitter, and many were defending Chris, even calling for Will to no longer win Best Actor and be kicked out of the event, which didn't happen.
Jada Smith suffers from a disease that causes baldness and it is not that she attacks me a lot, but in life you have to be brave to face the world when you are different or you look different, I can imagine what she has to fight with every day and even more being famous, for a comedian to come in the middle of open television and make bullying disguised as a joke about it.
Will Smith, when he received his Oscar for best actor after this, apologised to the Academy and the actors, but not to Chris, who didn't apologise either and honestly he didn't deserve an apology. As Will implied in his speech, we shouldn't just smile at this kind of mockery:
"For doing what we do, you have to be able to take abuse, people talking crazy about you. In this business you have to put up with people disrespecting you and you have to smile and pretend it's okay, but I will always protect my family, my wife."

Muchas personas siguen hablando de este tema en las redes sociales, hay memes, GIFs y mucha controversia, hoy he leído más comentarios a favor de Will Smith y lo cierto es que Chris Rock puede bromear, pero sin burlarse de la condición de las demás personas y creo que lo pensará antes de volver a hacerlo.
Todo parte desde el respeto, como madre de una niña Autista, creo que hubiera hecho lo mismo que Will, aún cuando mi hija no entendiera el Bullying disfrazado de broma que haya hecho, a diferencia de Jada, que puso una cara donde se vio que realmente le afectó.

Everything starts from respect, as a mother of an autistic girl, I think I would have done the same as Will, even if my daughter didn't understand the bullying disguised as a joke that he made, unlike Jada, who made a face where you could see that it really affected her.
El Evento continuó y fue súper épico ver la cara de Andrew Garfield cuando salió Amy Shcumer disfrazada de Spider-man, otra vez verás a la gente criticando cosas como estas del Oscars en las redes sociales, pues realmente fue algo gracioso, pero también un poco ridículo.

The event continued and it was super epic to see Andrew Garfield's face when Amy Shcumer came out dressed up as Spider-man, again you'll see people criticizing things like this on social media, it was really funny, but also a bit ridiculous.
