¡Hola amigos! Hoy en una nueva entrega de Halloween les vengo a hablar de aquellos personajes que me causaban terror y me hacían tener pesadillas desde niña. Son personajes icónicos dentro de este género del thriller. Supongo que cada uno tendrá los suyos, tal vez compartamos algunos. Bueno, sin más preámbulos, comencemos.
Hello friends! Today in a new installment of Halloween I come to talk about those characters that caused me terror and made me have nightmares since I was a child. They are iconic characters in this thriller genre. I guess everyone will have their own, maybe we share some of them. Well, without further ado, let's begin.

Empezando por Freddy Krueger.
Este entra de cabeza en mi top de peores pesadillas, una criatura que causa la muerte a través de los sueños. Sus películas eran una de las favoritas de mi hermano mayor, así que era inevitable verla. Aunque, ¿en qué cabeza cabe que una niña vea este tipo de películas? No sé en qué andarían pensando.
Bueno, como les dije, Freddy era un asesino en serie que murió quemado, por eso su apariencia es así de chamuscada. La cuestión es que su espíritu permaneció de alguna forma y sigue matando gente por medio de sus pesadillas. Si ves a Freddy en tus sueños él seguirá viniendo por ti hasta que logre su cometido. También tiene su propia canción psicodélica cantada por unas niñas como una especie de juego infantil.
Es sin lugar a dudas un gran personaje clásico de mis pesadillas. De hecho, habré soñado con él alguna que otra vez, aunque aquí sigo, confirmando que son miedos infundados y todo es ficción.
Starting with Freddy Krueger.
This one enters head first in my top of worst nightmares, a creature that causes death through dreams. His movies were one of my older brother's favorites, so it was inevitable to watch it. Although, in whose head would a little girl watch this kind of movie? I don't know what they were thinking.
Well, as I told you, Freddy was a serial killer who was burned to death, that's why his appearance is so charred. The point is that his spirit remained in some form and continues to kill people through his nightmares. If you see Freddy in your dreams he will keep coming after you until he gets his way. He also has his own psychedelic song sung by some little girls as a sort of children's game.
He is without a doubt a great classic character in my nightmares. In fact, I must have dreamt about him a few times, although here I am, confirming that these are unfounded fears and everything is fiction.

Pasemos al siguiente: Chucky. El muñeco maldito.
De nuevo, ¿qué tan saludable es hacerle ver a una niña una película de un muñeco que cobra vida y asesina personas? No si a mí me curaron de espanto. Seguro que más de uno lo conoce, sobre todo porque salió una nueva serie hace poco. Aunque para mí no hay como las primeras películas dónde se encuentra su esencia principal.
Acá se repite una temática parecida a la de Freddy, un asesino que es atrapado y resulta gravemente herido pasa su alma a la del muñeco y así logra cobrar vida en él. El muñeco luego es adquirido por alguien y este comienza a hacer sus fechorías cuando nadie está al pendiente de él.
Es el clásico de los clásicos. Si bien dije que las primeras películas eran mis favoritas, debo decir que en realidad la que más vi y disfruté fue la de La novia de Chucky. Me encanta esa película, todo el proceso de producción de la nueva muñeca maldita es genial de ver. Me gustaría tenerla a ella como muñeca (? Es muy bonita jajaja. Pero bueno, está película hizo que no pudiera dormir con mis muñecos, solo tenía peluches, los demás lejos de mí en la noche.
Let's move on to the next one: Chucky. The Cursed Doll.
Again, how healthy is it to make a child watch a movie about a doll that comes to life and kills people? Not if I've been cured of my horror. I'm sure more than one of you are familiar with it, especially since a new series came out recently. Although for me there is nothing like the first movies where its main essence is found.
Here a similar theme to Freddy's is repeated, a killer who is caught and seriously wounded passes his soul to the doll and thus manages to come to life in it. The doll is then acquired by someone and begins to do his misdeeds when no one is looking out for him.
It is the classic of classics. While I said that the early movies were my favorites, I have to say that I actually watched and enjoyed The Bride of Chucky the most. I love that movie, the whole production process of the new cursed doll is great to watch. I would love to have her as a doll (? She's so cute hahaha. But well, this movie made me unable to sleep with my dolls, I only had stuffed animals, the others away from me at night.

El siguiente personaje es Jason.
Creo que las películas de Viernes 13 fueron de las primeras que me dieron dolores de estómago. Jason era un niño que se ahogó en un lago cuando estaba de campamento y ahora se dice que ese lugar está maldito, es el escenario de múltiples asesinatos. Además, como su nombre lo indica, este suele aparecer en los viernes 13 para cobrar venganza.
Creo que este personaje es uno de los más conocidos por su típica máscara de Hockey, su cuchilla gigante y la motosierra con la que descuartiza a sus víctimas. Sí, acabo de recordar algunas escenas de esas y me volvió el dolor de estómago. Me causaba malestar de verdad mirar estás películas. Aunque de todos modos lograron quedar arraigadas en mí y por eso se ganó este lugar en la publicación. Sin embargo, es mi menos favorito de todos los mencionados, miraba las películas por mis hermanos. No te enojes, Jason.
The next character is Jason.
I think the Friday the 13th movies were among the first that gave me stomach aches. Jason was a boy who drowned in a lake while camping and now that place is said to be cursed, the scene of multiple murders. Also, as the name implies, this one usually shows up on Friday the 13th to exact revenge.
I think this character is one of the best known for his typical Hockey mask, his giant blade and the chainsaw with which he butchers his victims. Yeah, I just remembered some of those scenes and my stomach ached again. It really made me sick to watch these movies. Although they managed to stay ingrained in me anyway and that's why it earned this spot in the publication. However, it is my least favorite of all those mentioned, I watched the movies because of my brothers. Don't be mad, Jason.
Ghostface

Ahora el último lugar le pertenece a Ghostface.
Este personaje es muy particular porque cualquier asesino puede esconderse detrás de su máscara para asesinar a su víctima. A veces los asesinatos tienen un móvil en común, una víctima sola o a veces son sucesiones al azar de matanzas de gente que se interpone en su camino y termina pagando las consecuencias. Lo curioso es que al final de cada entrega de películas descubrimos quién es el asesino de verdad, generalmente es la persona en la que menos pensaste o yo soy muy mala en averiguarlo, es bueno intentar adivinar quién es.
Esta no es tan terrorífica como las otras, pero igual tiene un par de escenas icónicas que viven conmigo, como la de la chica apuñalada en un baño del cine que hace todo el recorrido sangrando hasta ponerse delante de la pantalla de la sala gritando de dolor y muere. Odio esa parte, me pone muy mal.
No tuve la oportunidad de ver la última entrega, tendría que hacerlo a ver qué tal está. Pero creo que las dos primeras son mis favoritas. La escena icónica de la chica que está preparando los pochoclos, los llamados telefónicos con el clásico "Hola Sidney", los recuerdo a la perfección aunque hace mucho que no veo estás películas.
Now the last place belongs to Ghostface.
This character is very particular because any killer can hide behind his mask to murder his victim. Sometimes the murders have a common motive, a single victim or sometimes they are random successions of killings of people who get in their way and end up paying the consequences. The funny thing is that at the end of each installment of movies we find out who the real killer is, usually it's the person you least thought of or I'm really bad at figuring it out, it's good to try to guess who it is.
This one isn't as terrifying as the others, but it still has a couple of iconic scenes that live with me, like the one where the girl stabbed in a bathroom in the movie theater goes all the way through bleeding until she stands in front of the screen screaming in pain and dies. I hate that part, it makes me so sick.
I didn't get a chance to see the last installment, I'd have to do that to see how it is. But I think the first two are my favorites. The iconic scene of the girl preparing the popcorn, the phone calls with the classic "Hello Sidney", I remember them perfectly even though it's been a long time since I've seen these movies.
Bueno esos serían todos los personajes que atormentaron mi niñez, algunos más que otros, por eso se merecen esta clase de publicación en este mes de Halloween. Me encantaría que me cuenten si coincidimos en alguno de estos personajes o si tienen otros que les daban miedo cuando eran chicos. Los leo en comentarios.

Well those would be all the characters that haunted my childhood, some more than others, that's why they deserve this kind of publication in this Halloween month.
