Hello hivers let's talk movies

I was excited to see Denis Villeneuve's adaptation of Frank Herbert's classic novel "Dune." And, since I like the 1984 adaptation of the story, I knew I had to see the 2021 remake.
And, yeah, I did appreciate the 2021 version of "Dune," of course. How could I not, right? Even though it lasted a little over two and a half hours, the film was amusing and delightful. And this is only the beginning of the narrative; there will be more to come.
"Dune" was visually stunning back then, with some truly incredible special effects that brought the planet of Arrakis to life on screen. "Dune" doesn't disappoint if you like CGI effects and outstanding special effects.

In terms of casted actors, the bulk of the cast members was well-suited to their respective parts and characteristics. I had never heard of Timothée Chalamet (who plays Paul Atreides), but he wasn't Kyle MacLachlan (playing the same character in the 1984 movie). Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Jason Momoa, Josh Brolin, and Stellan Skarsgard are among the cast members of this 2021 remake of "Dune." Stellan Skarsgard's performance in the film wowed me.
While "Dune" is enjoyable and entertaining, I can't help but wonder if it was really necessary to recreate it. when the film was over "Will it be rebuilt in 40 years, with whatever technology is available at the time?" I wondered. So there remained the question of whether or not the remake was required.
Also, I believe the character gallery was undeveloped since most of the characters were given just superficial qualities and personalities, never allowing the spectator to truly understand the individuals' origins, motives, and so on. In terms of character development and evolution, it just felt a little too superficial.

If you have the opportunity to see "Dune," take advantage of it. Do so without hesitation since it is a fun film.
"Dune" gets a six out of ten-star rating from me, just like the 1984 film. Sure, the 2021 film was more visually appealing, but over four decades have contributed much to the advancement of computer-generated imagery in the film industry. The 2021 version, on the other hand, suffers from a lackluster character cast and an overarching sense that this is simply a tremendous waste of money and time in rebuilding something that didn't need to be redone in the first place.
6/10 ⭐
