In life as people we must learn not to judge anyone without first knowing what is really going on. Also, when we least expect it, people come into our lives that give it meaning. These are some of the things that we can realize when we watch the movie “Finding You”, which in Spanish is known as Allí me encontrarás. This is an American film of the year 2021 that was directed by filmmaker Brian Baugh, who was also the screenwriter of this production.

Esta es una película estadounidense del año 2021 que fue dirigida por el cineasta Brian Baugh, quien además fue el guionista de esta producción.
The plot of the film tells us about Finley, who is a violinist who wants to enter one of the most important arts schools in New York, although no specific reference is made in the plot, even no name is mentioned. I can infer this because the film begins with the young woman auditioning, but she was not accepted, at least in this attempt. I mention this, as I don't consider it to be that relevant to the plot, but this is where the really important part of the story begins, which is the trip to Ireland as an exchange student. It is there that she meets Beckett, who is a celebrity in the film industry.

Life is not always what we want, even for those who are public figures and have a lot of money. These two meet and from the first moment they have a connection, although problems are not going to be lacking. There You'll Find Me is a romantic comedy, but it also has a lot of drama and is quite sentimental.
Finley se nota que es chica bastante talentosa, pero un poco insegura y es la razón por la cual no pasa la audición, pero busca reencontrarse nuevamente en este viaje, tal cual le paso a su hermano, quien también paso un tiempo en Irlanda como estudiante de intercambio. Por otro lado, Beckett es bastante una estrella del cine, tiene mucha fama, pero su vida para nada es la que él desea, es controlado por su padre. La vida no siempre es lo que queremos, incluso para aquellos que son figuras públicas y tiene mucho dinero. Estas dos se conocen y desde el primer momento tiene una conexión, aunque los problemas no van a faltar. Allí me encontrarás, es una Comedia romántica, pero también tiene mucho drama y es bastante sentimental.
One of my favorite characters in the film is Cathleen Sweeney, a senior citizen who is in a nursing home. She is a rather bitter lady with whom Finley has to live. This one tries to know the history of this person, investigates and discovers a secret of the reason of her aptitude, although she cannot believe it, she thinks that what people say is not really what happens and in the end it is what ends up happening. From there is what I commented at the beginning of the review, we should never think something about a person without really knowing why. The story of this character gives a greater sense to the plot, in addition to the problems that may arise between the two main characters (Finley and Beckett) and if they will really risk for the love they come to feel.
Uno de mis personajes favoritos de la película es Cathleen Sweeney, una persona de la tercera edad quien se encuentra en una casa hogar. Es una señora bastante amargada con la que Finley debe convivir. Esta trata de conocer la historia de esta persona, investiga y descubre un secreto del porqué de su aptitud, aunque no lo puede creer, piensa que lo que dicen las personas no es realmente lo que sucede y al final es lo que se termina dando. De allí es lo que comente al inicio de la reseña, nunca debemos pensar algo de una persona sin realmente conocer el porqué. La historia de este personaje le confiere un mayor sentido a la trama, además de los problemas que pueden surgir entre los dos personajes principales (Finley y Beckett) y si realmente se arriesgarán por el amor que llegan a sentir.
We also have other characters that although they are more secondary, they play an important role in the story of Beckett and Finley, and how it ends. The cast of the film seems good to me, it is fine for each of the characters, although the performances of some leave much to be desired from my point of view. Rose Reid played Finley Sinclair, while Jedidiah Goodacre was Beckett Rush. My favorite Performance was by Vanessa Redgrave as Cathleen Sweeney, I really believed her story and by the end the tears were not long in coming.
También tenemos otros personajes que aunque son más secundarios, juegan un papel importante dentro de la historia de Beckett y Finley, y como esta finaliza. El cast de la película me parece buena, está bien para cada uno de los personajes, aunque las actuaciones de algunos dejan mucho que desear desde mi punto de vista. Rose Reid hizo de Finley Sinclair, mientras que Jedidiah Goodacre fue Beckett Rush. Mi Actuación favorita fue de Vanessa Redgrave como Cathleen Sweeney, realmente me creí su historia y al final las lágrimas no se hicieron esperar.

Two points in favor of this film are the photography and the soundtrack. One of the things that caught my attention in the film is the photography, beautiful places in Ireland that are a pleasure to see in this production. We also know a lot about the culture of the country, being quite cheerful and friendly people, at least that's how it is presented in Finding You. As for the soundtrack I always expect it to immerse us in the story and I think this was the case, we have very happy moments, but other complicated moments where the background music induces us into the story.
Dos puntos a favor de esta película es la fotografía y la banda sonora. Una de las cosas que más me llamó la atención del filme es la fotografía, lugares bastante hermosos de Irlanda que dan gusto apreciar en esta producción. También conocemos mucha de la cultura del país, siendo personas bastante alegres y amables, al menos así lo presentan en Finding You. En cuanto a la banda sonora siempre espero que la misma nos sumerja en la historia y creo que este fue el caso, tenemos momentos muy alegres, pero otros momentos complicados donde la música de fondo nos induce dentro de la historia.
Finding You is a film that although it is not the best of the genre, we can find some flaws, especially in the performances that leave something to be desired, where Rose Reid and Vanessa Redgrave did a great job with their characters. Jedidiah Goodacre did not do badly, she was the one who played a very extroverted character, although deep down she is not happy with her life. One positive thing I see is that the story does not focus only on the love story between Finley and Beckett, but we are told several stories at once, although the main one is of the protagonists. The latter seems to me to be really positive, because it is how it really happens in real life, many things happen to people at the same time.
Allí me encontrarás (Finding You) es una película que si bien no es lo mejor del género, nos podemos encontrar algunas fallas, sobre todo en las actuaciones que dejan que desear, donde Rose Reid y Vanessa Redgrave realizaron un gran trabajo con sus personajes. Jedidiah Goodacre no lo hizo mal, fue a quien le toco un personaje bastante extrovertido, aunque en el fondo no está feliz con su vida. Algo positivo que veo es que la historia no se enfoca solo en la historia de amor entre Finley y Beckett, sino que nos cuentan varios historias a la vez, aunque la principal sea de los protagonistas. Esto último me parece que realmente es positivo, porque es como realmente sucede en la vida real, a las personas les ocurren muchas cosas al mismo tiempo.
This film is clearly aimed at young people, it is a nice romantic comedy, which from my point of view goes from less to more with an ending that despite being what we commonly see in these stories, but it was to my liking. I spent a pleasant moment, approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes very entertaining, although I can get to the end of the hour of the film. Finding You is a film that may not be for everyone, but I am clear that if you are a lover of young romantic comedy films and drama included, this production is ideal. My score is 7.5/10. Remember that it is based on my approach as a user, as this review is more of an opinion and not a professional critique, all based on my personal experience.
