This series was a rare discovery. Before I watched the episodes, I had never heard of this story. The wheel of time was started to be published in the 90s, and it contains a vast high fantasy world that only comes second to the Lord of the Rings saga. As any fantasy story, it has many characters with special powers, ancient cities, epic ferocious enemies, and a fight between right and wrong. I share with you my impression and some information about this fantasy series worth binge watching.

Indeed, The wheel of Time is a series of 14 books, yes, 14. It was written by Robert Jordan With the exception of the last chapters. The wheel of time in this series is based on the first two books and tells the story of five companions which are suspicious of being the Dragon reborn. This being from the past had immense power to lead the world or to destroy it. The foundation of the story is the Wheel of Time, made by the creator to control its creation as it spins.
Moraine Sedai (woman in blue vests) and his guardian Lan, seek for the dragon reborn, and events place them in the company of our five leading characters. From that point forward, all actions are destined to reveal who is the true Dragon and for him or her to stop the Obscure one from Ending the World again.

This concept was the most attractive to me. Only women were capable to use the One power (source of magic) and channel it to perform spells. Men were also able to do it, but they tried so a curse will make them progress into madness hurting and devastating everything in their path. The Ais Sedai gave shape to this world After the First Dragon, and they continue to do so with their six factions. Some are healers, other combatants, ones dedicated to knowledge, others to discipline. All women have a role, and they keep the world safe.

In the case of Women, the One Power flows like white threads which pass through their bodies, and then connect with that they want to materialize like spreading fire, making a thunder fall, or blowing an enemy. channeling requires time, so a guardian buys that time for her Ais Sedai so she can perform the spell. Another interesting feature was the intense bond between Aes Sedai and guardians. The episode let us witness how strong and impactful those can be.

On the contrary, when men channel white and black threads appear. The threads seem to be alive and whisper madness into their minds. nonetheless, this madness also make men channelers stronger, and it can take up to many Aes Sedai to contain them. The mystery around men not being able to handle power is an interesting twist to this story. Compared to the real world, women have a greater focus, power, and respect. Men are usually corrupted by power, and I think the author took that and converted it in magical-political structure for his imaginary world.

Another interesting aspect of this world is the White Cloaks faction. They are the equivalent to the Church's inquisition in this fantasy land. They are tired of the Aes Sedai, and they seek freedom from that system. AS expected, they can be quite cruel to honor their ideals.
Overall, the series has a great ambience, some good and some decent effect, a great story to build over, many many characters with different paths, and fantasy everywhere you look. The first chapter quickly captures your attention with a deployment of surprise, action, strong bonds, and mystery. The only things I disliked were a messy end of season ( not conclusive at all) and how short it was. I wanted at least twelve chapters instead of eight. Now, I am tempted to read all books and continue the story on my own. I was completely enjoyable, and I recommend truly.
Otro aspecto interesante de este mundo es la facción White Cloaks. Son el equivalente a la inquisición de la Iglesia en esta tierra de fantasía. Están cansados de las Aes Sedai y buscan liberarse de ese sistema. Como era de esperar, pueden ser bastante crueles para honrar sus ideales.
En general, la serie tiene un gran ambiente, algunos efectos buenos y otros decentes, una gran historia para construir, muchos personajes con diferentes caminos y fantasía dondequiera que mires. El primer capítulo capta rápidamente tu atención con un despliegue de sorpresa, acción, fuertes lazos y misterio. Lo único que no me gustó fue un final de temporada desordenado (nada concluyente) y lo breve que fue. Quería al menos doce capítulos en lugar de ocho. Ahora, tengo la tentación de leer todos los libros y continuar la historia por mi cuenta. Fui completamente agradable, y lo recomiendo verdaderamente.
