Let's talk about El Inocente, a Netflix original series created in Spain that is a true audiovisual jewel with a closed ending divided into 8 chapters that will take us through the life of Mateo. A teenager who for an accident at a party ended up in prison and although he paid his sentence the past does not let him live in peace. The series focuses on the present of the protagonist where he has already paid his sentence and is living happily with his partner, but that happiness is very close to end. The nightmare of his past returns, which in reality, mentally, he was never able to overcome.
In each chapter we will accompany a character of the story that will be revealing all the part of his life related to this story and thus at the end of the chapter everything ends up connecting with the main plot. Although our protagonist is Mateo, in reality all the characters that we meet throughout the series represent important parts in the general plot of the whole story that we are being told. That is why the chapters last an hour, but if the series manages to hook you, that hour will fly by without you even realizing it.
The series is full of twists that gradually develop a plot much bigger and more complex than what at first seems that this story will not give. My advice if you want to give it a chance is to watch the first two chapters, if after those first chapters you are not hooked to the story this series is not for you. Special emphasis on watching the complete chapters, as they work as a whole and the beginning of a chapter, although it may seem weak at first impression is laying the groundwork for what comes later.

Hablemos de El Inocente, una serie original de Netflix creada en España que es una verdadera joya audiovisual con final cerrado dividida en 8 capítulos que nos llevara por la vida de Mateo. Un adolescente que por un accidente en una fiesta terminara preso y aunque pago su condena el pasado no lo deja vivir en paz. La serie se centra en la actualidad del protagonista donde ya pago esa condena y está viviendo feliz con su pareja, pero esa felicidad esta muy cerca de acabar. Regresa la pesadilla de su pasado que en realidad mentalmente él nunca pudo superar.
En cada capitulo acompañaremos a un personaje de la historia que nos ira revelando toda la parte de su vida relacionada a esta historia y con ello al final del capítulo todo termina conectando con la trama principal. Aunque nuestro protagonista por así llamarlo es Mateo, en la realidad todos los personajes que vamos conociendo a lo largo de la serie representan partes importantes en la trama general de toda la historia que nos están contando. Por eso es que los capítulos duran una hora, pero si la serie te logra enganchar, esa hora pasara volando y sin apenas darte cuenta.
La serie está llena de giros que poco a poco van desarrollando una trama mucho más grande y compleja de lo que en un principio parece que no dará esta historia. Mi consejo si quieres darle una oportunidad es que te veas los dos primeros capítulos, si después de esos primeros capítulos no estas enganchado a la historia esta serie no es para ti. Especial hincapié en ver los capítulos completos, ya que funcionan como un todo y el inicio de un capítulo, aunque pueda parecer flojo a primera impresión esta estableciendo las bases para lo que se viene más adelante.

The wonderful thing about this story is its characters and how well constructed they are, the evolution of each one of them as the plot progresses. We see how everything that happens fits together perfectly, although we see the story from Mateo's perspective as he discovers everything in a non-linear way. The only thing we have clear from the beginning is the accident that happens in Mateo's youth, the rest is revealed as the series progresses.
As you may have noticed as you read this writing I didn't want to reveal many details of the series since I consider that it is more enjoyable the more blindly you come to this story. Let's just say that I revealed what is necessary to make you curious and give it a chance. I've watched a lot of anime and it's very difficult for a series or movie to generate much interest in me as I usually always end up seeing the plot twist before it arrives. But this series is the exception to that, since in the beginning it seemed very simple, but it ended up being a great story and many of the plot twists I didn't see coming.
I'm not a person to recommend Netflix series, but this story made me make an exception, it is a hidden gem of their catalog and for me the best of all, which is an extra bonus, it has a closed ending. Let's just say that Netflix is very much into making first seasons and leaving series abandoned without continuation. It is important to note that my favorite genre is science fiction, which in this series there is no presence of that genre, but even so I ended up falling in love with its story to the point of wanting to recommend it to everyone.

Lo maravilloso de esta historia son sus personajes y lo bien construidos que están, la evolución que tienen cada uno de ellos mientras avanza la trama que nos están contando. Vemos como todo lo que sucede va encajando perfectamente, aunque la historia nosotros la vemos desde la perspectiva de Mateo según va descubriendo todo de una manera no lineal. Lo único que tenemos claro desde un inicio es el accidente que sucede en la juventud de Mateo, lo demás se va revelando según avanza la serie.
Como te habrás percato a medida que lees este escrito no he querido revelar muchos detalles de la serie ya que considero que es más disfrutable cuanto más a ciegas llegues a esta historia. Digamos que revele lo necesario para que te pique la curiosidad y puedas darle una oportunidad. Yo he visto una gran cantidad de animes y es muy difícil que una serie o película logre generarme mucho interés ya que por lo general siempre termino viendo el giro de guión antes de que llegue. Pero esta serie es la excepción a ello, ya que en inicio parecía muy simple, pero termino siendo una gran historia y muchos de lo giros del guión no los vi venir.
No soy persona de andar recomendado series de Netflix, pero esta historia logro que hiciera una excepción, es toda una joya oculta de su catálogo y para mi lo mejor de todo, que viene a ser un bono extra, tiene un final cerrado. Digamos que Netflix es muy de hacer primeras temporadas y dejar las series abandonadas sin continuación. Importante destacar que mi genero favorito es la ciencia ficción, cosa que en esta serie no hay presencia alguna de ese género, pero aun así termine enamorado de su historia al punto de querer recomendársela a todo el mundo.
