What would happen if suddenly something happens that prevents you from falling asleep again, that no matter how hard you try you can't sleep, spending hours and days without being able to rest, what would you do, how do you think this would affect your mind and body?
There are people who say they have trouble sleeping well at night, some go to pharmacists or natural remedies to rest, some of them have an effect, but what if nothing you take helps you sleep.
You stay awake all night, unable to close your eyes, you wake up, and although you would like to close them and sleep for a moment you can't, your mind is tired, your body too, and this is where the real mental chaos begins.
Friends of #Movie, yesterday I came across this interesting movie, which, although at first did not call my attention, I began to see it in detail, and it made me think about all this that I just mentioned, and the movie is about precisely this.
What it is about
On a quiet day, where everything seems to be normal, something inexplicable happens, a global event, where electrical appliances are affected, vehicles do not work, and people lose the ability to sleep, yes, as you read, as a result of this, people can not fall asleep, thus causing despair and chaos, only one person manages to do it, a little girl, who, for no reason, is the only one who can sleep deeply and without any problem.
All this seems and sounds so unreal, but it is something that makes you think, the mind is something that we can not control no matter how much we want, when we feel tired, exhausted, we just want to rest, close our eyes for a moment, but when you spend so much time without being able to get it, this is where the mind begins to act, thoughts overwhelm you, stress you, you start to hallucinate, you despair, and act irrationally.
Tiredness, not thinking clearly, all this we can see reflected in this film, where people begin to lose their minds, they just want to find a way to get to sleep, and no matter how, they are capable of committing all unimaginable acts, in order to end their suffering.
That show us
First, as I mentioned, only a little girl manages to sleep, this is where desperation comes in, counting on her as the only cure, her mother wanting to protect her, along with her brother, do everything possible to keep her away from everyone.
In this part we get to see everything a mother can do, in order to protect her children, Jil, is an ex-soldier, with a somewhat troubled past, however, all this helped her to know and understand what they are capable of doing to people in order to get what they want, in this case they wanted her daughter as a cure, so they were only interested in getting from her the answers they needed to deduce what was happening, and understand why only she managed to sleep.
On the other hand, the reaction of the human being, the attitude of these people, how little by little they were losing their reason, the lack of control, the chaos of humanity, all completely overwhelmed, tired, is something that, just to imagine, I don't know how I would react, but I don't think I would reach such a level, or so I think.
I mean, all the chaos that goes through your head, the hallucinations that manifest themselves, you can not think clearly, all this combined with just the fact of the end of humanity, who can survive like this, without being able to sleep, the physical and mental exhaustion so transcendental, you can only expect the worst.
It is a story that traps you, quite enigmatic and moving, especially for the end, perhaps some see sense from the beginning, but you have to see it complete, in my case, because if I understood everything until the end, I will not tell you, not to make spoilers, and if you have already seen it, you will understand.
Meaning of the name
I haven't told you everything right, the film is called AWAKE, where in Spanish they called it DISOMNIA, a name very much in line with what they show us, but they lacked a little more depth.
But what do I mean by this.
Well, in general terms DISOMNIA is a kind of disorder, similar to insomnia, which prevents you from staying asleep, this is the basis of the film, showing us how it affects people physically and psychologically, to be awake for so long without being able to sleep.
But why does this happen, in the movie we are not shown a reason as such, I would have liked to give a more scientific and superhuman explanation, that why this happens to us, but of course, if we see it from another side, usually this happens to people when they are very stressed, a bad diet, a drink that affects them and does not allow them to fall asleep, among other possible causes.
I confess, there are nights that I find it hard to sleep, I toss and turn in my bed, looking at the ceiling and thinking too much, other times I wake up because of a bad dream, and after that it is hard to go back to sleep.
There are situations that affect us, that no matter how much we want to stop thinking about them, we can not, and that causes us some discomfort, some ailment too, which also does not let you sleep, are things that as I said no matter how much we try to avoid or control, it is difficult, but not impossible.
For this there are therapies, treatments or medications that help you, perhaps this was what was missing in this film, a little order in all this disorder, an orientation, a more coherent, rational way to accept what was happening, not to be carried away by the despair and anxiety of not being able to sleep.
Performance.
I want to mention that this movie featured the actress Gina Rodriguez, as one of the main characters, playing the girl's mother, I recognized this actress for her performance in other series and movies, including the series Jane the Virgiln, or the movie Mis Bala.
I don't know why when I saw that it was with her I was not so captivated, however, I read the synopsis of the movie and I still encouraged me to watch it, I'm not going to lie, maybe for some it is not one of the best, in fact, it is not, I would not call it for an Oscar or Emmys award, but it is entertaining, it is one of those that only provokes you to watch it once and that's it.
I think the story sounded good, but they lacked a little more sense, and as I said some explanation of what, why all this happened, of course as I mentioned, in the end is where they give you the answer to the solution, that well if you see it, you will see the sense.
We all at some point get overwhelmed with so many things, and that eventually the body and mind takes over, this is where both physical and mental illnesses manifest, that is where we must be more aware, look back at what we are doing, how we are living, and give a change to your course.
Not being able to sleep, not being able to rest, will certainly not allow you to think clearly, there will come a time when your body will reflect it, fatigue, a haggard face, no strength, no life, all this will intensify, and eventually, you will not be able to and you will decline.
There are people who devote themselves to their daily activities, to their work, and it seems that they forget that they are only mere mortals, that their body and mind need rest, relax, get enough sleep, go out for fresh air, all this is necessary to be well with yourself, your body will thank you someday.

Qué pasaría si de repente sucede algo que te impidiera volver a conciliar el sueño, que por más que lo intentes no logres dormir, pasando horas y días sin poder descansar, qué harías, como crees que esto afectaría tu mente y tu cuerpo.
Hay personas que dicen que les cuesta dormir bien por las noches, algunos acuden a farmacéuticos o remedios naturales, para poder descansar, a cualesquiera les hace efecto, pero que pasa si nada de lo que tomes te ayuda a dormir.
Te mantienes despierto toda la noche, sin poder cerrar tus ojos, te levantas, y aunque quisieras cerrarlos y dormir por un instante no puedes, tu mente está cansada, tu cuerpo también, y aquí es donde comienza el verdadero caos mental.
Amigos de #Movie, el día de ayer me encontré con esta interesante película, que, aunque al principio no me llamo la atención, empecé a verla con detalle, y me hizo pensar todo esto que les acabo de mencionar, y es que la película se trata de esto precisamente.
De que se trata
En un día tranquilo, donde todo parece ser normal, sucede algo inexplicable, un evento a nivel global, donde los artefactos eléctricos se ven afectados, los vehículos no funcionan, y las personas pierden la capacidad de poder dormir, si, así como lo leen, a raíz de esto, las personas no logran conciliar el sueño, provocando de esta manera la desesperación y el caos, solo una persona logra hacerlo, una pequeña niña, que, sin razón alguna, es la única que puede dormir profundamente y sin problema.
Todo esto parece y suena tan irreal, pero es algo que te hace pensar, la mente es algo que no podemos controlar por más que queramos, cuando nos sentimos cansados, agotados, solo queremos descansar, cerrar los ojos por un momento, pero cuando pasas tanto tiempo sin poder conseguirlo, aquí es donde la mente comienza a actuar, los pensamientos te agobian, te estresan, empiezas a alucinar, te desesperas, y actúas de forma irracional.
El cansancio, el no pensar con claridad, todo esto lo podemos ver reflejado en esta película, donde las personas empiezan a perder la razón, solo quieren encontrar la manera de lograr dormir, y sin importarles cómo, son capaces de cometer todos los actos inimaginables, con tal de acabar con su sufrimiento.
Que nos muestran
En primer lugar, como les mencione, solo una pequeña niña logra dormir, es aquí donde entra la desesperación, contando con ella como la única cura, su madre queriendo protegerla, junto a su hermano, hacen todo lo posible por alejarla de todos.
En esta parte alcanzamos a mirar todo lo que puede hacer una madre, con tal de proteger a sus hijos, Jil, es una exsoldado, con un pasado algo problemático, sin embargo, todo esto le sirvió para saber y entender lo que son capaces de hacerle a las personas con tal de conseguir lo que quieren, en este caso querían a su hija como cura, por lo que solo les interesaba sacar de ella las respuestas que necesitaban para deducir lo que estaba pasando, y entender por qué solo ella lograba dormir.
Por otro lado, la reacción del ser humano, la actitud de estas personas, como poco a poco fueron perdiendo la razón, el descontrol, el caos de la humanidad, todos completamente abrumados, cansados, es algo, que, de solo imaginar, no sé cómo reaccionaría, pero creo que no llegaría a tal nivel, o eso creo.
Es decir, todo el caos que pasa por tu cabeza, las alucinaciones que se manifiestan, no puedes pensar con claridad, todo esto aunado a solo hecho del fin de la humanidad, quien puede sobrevivir así, sin poder dormir, el agotamiento físico y mental tan transcendental, solo te queda esperar lo peor.
Es una historia que te atrapa, bastante enigmática y conmovedora, sobre todo por el final, quizás algunos le vean sentido desde un principio, pero hay que verla completa, en mi caso, pues si lo entendí todo hasta el final, no les diré, para no hacerles el spoiler, y si ya la vieron, entenderán.
Que significa el nombre
No les he dicho bien del todo, la película se llama AWAKE, donde en español la denominaron DISOMNIA, un nombre muy acorde con lo que nos muestran, pero que les falto profundizar un poco más.
Pero qué quiero decir con esto.
Bien, en términos generales DISOMNIA es una especie de trastorno, parecido al insomnio, la cual te impide mantenerte dormido, en esto se basa la película, mostrándonos como les afecta a las personas física y psicológicamente, el estar tanto tiempo despierto, sin poder dormir.
Pero porque sucede esto, en la película no nos muestran una razón como tal, me hubiese gustado que dieran alguna explicación más científica y sobrehumana, de que por qué nos sucede esto, pero claro, si lo vemos desde otro lado, normalmente esto les ocurre a las personas cuando están muy estresadas, alguna mala alimentación, alguna bebida que les afecte y no les permita conciliar el sueño, entre otras posibles causas.
Yo les confieso, hay noches que me cuesta dormir, doy más vueltas en mi cama, mirando el techo y pensando demasiado, otras veces me despierto por algún mal sueño, y ya después de allí me cuesta volver a dormir.
Hay situaciones que nos afecta, que por más que queramos dejar de pensar en ellas, no podemos, y eso nos causa cierto malestar, alguna dolencia también, la cual tampoco te deja dormir, son cosas que como dije por más que intentemos evitar o controlar, nos resulta difícil, pero no imposible.
Para ello existen terapias, tratamientos o medicamentos que te ayudan, quizás esto fue lo que le falto en esta película, un poco de orden dentro de todo este desorden, una orientación, una manera más coherente, racional de aceptar lo que pasaba, no dejarse llevar por el desespero y la ansiedad de no poder dormir.
Actuación.
Quiero mencionar que esta película contó con la actuación de la actriz Gina Rodríguez, como uno de los personajes principales, interpretando la madre de la niña, esta actriz la reconocí por su interpretación en otras series y películas, entre ellas la serie Jane the Virgin, o la película Mis Bala.
No sé por qué al ver que era con ella no me cautivo tanto asi, sin embargo, leí la sinopsis de la película e igual me anime a verla, no les voy a mentir, quizás para algunos no sea una de las mejores, de hecho, no lo es, no la denominaría para un premio Oscar o Emmys, pero es entretenida, es de esas que solo provoca verla una vez y ya.
Pienso que la historia sonaba bien, pero les falto un poco más de sentido, y como dije algo de explicación de que, porque sucedió todo esto, claro como ya les mencioné, en el final es donde te dan la respuesta a la solución, que bueno si lo ven, le verán el sentido.
Todos en algún momento nos abrumamos con tantas cosas, y eso con el tiempo el cuerpo y la mente te lo cobra, aquí es donde se manifiestan las enfermedades tanto físicas como mentales, es allí donde debemos ser más conscientes, mirar en retrospectiva lo que estamos haciendo, como estamos viviendo, y darle un cambio a tu rumbo.
El no poder dormir, no lograr descansar, sin duda no te permitirá pensar con claridad, llegará un momento en que tu cuerpo lo reflejará, el cansancio, un rostro demacrado, sin fuerzas, sin vida, todo esto, se irá intensificando, y con el tiempo, no podrás y decaerás.
Hay personas que se entregan a sus actividades diarias, a su trabajo, y parece que se les olvida que solo son simples mortales, que su cuerpo y mente necesita descanso, relajarse, dormir lo suficiente, salir a tomar aire fresco, todo esto es necesario, para poder estar bien contigo mismo, tu cuerpo algún día te lo agradecerá.
