Just like when you start watching something and it turns out that the plot is a bit crazy, confusing, but it tú still intrigues you, because well, in my case, I like to see how they end, just to understand the ending a bit.
Recently a friend of mine told me about this series, I had no idea what it was about, in fact, I was confused, I thought it was another one when she mentioned it to me, but it turns out, I was wrong, this series is completely different from what I imagined.
The Sinner is a miniseries, which consists of 8 episodes, with four seasons, I have only seen the first one so far, as I said at the beginning it is a bit confusing, it even gets a bit boring, but the end surprises you, and you manage to understand everything.
In this first season, we see how a young mother is spending a quiet day at the beach with her husband and son, when suddenly without any explanation she attacks another man, and stabs him over and over again, until she kills him.
This is where the questions begin, why did she stab him, if she didn't know him, did she give him no motive, did she suddenly go crazy, or is there something behind this sudden attack?
As I mentioned, at the beginning everything is very confusing, where everything becomes a search, why this woman did this crime, without any apparent explanation, she just said she did it, without thinking and she doesn't know why.
Cora personified by the actress Jessica Biel, is shown as a somber, sad, disturbed woman, resigned to accept that she will spend many years in prison, but this is not enough for the detectives, especially for one in particular.
Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) is the detective, who focuses on this explanation, because he felt that something didn't add up, since Cora's profile doesn't fit as a murderer.
It is here where in each episode we will see Cora's life, which encompasses a spiral of dark secrets, full of sex, religion, drugs, and other things, which in some way will make us understand what led her to commit this crime.
There is no denying the great performance of Jessica Biel, together with the actor Bill Pullman, being them the main characters, it shows us a turbulent scenario, full of drama, suspense, mystery.
Although I found a little exaggerated, this relationship, this friendship between the detective and the murderer, as they say only on television happens this, where a cop is obsessed with a case, where he focuses on helping the criminal, only because he is not convinced of his motives for committing the crime.
I can't deny it, the series has its intense moments, as well as some boring ones, it loses the sense in some parts, but it still keeps you intrigued, and only at the end of the story is that you manage to understand everything.
With a dark plot, disturbing, shows us different scenarios, conflicts between family, religion, covers this and much more, The Sinner, is a series out of itself, where we see how it seeks to justify a murder, and thus exempt the guilt.
Which makes you wonder, does the fact that you have sufficient reason exonerate you from paying for your crimes, they have to see it, in order to understand it.

Así como cuando empiezas viendo algo y resulta que la trama es un poco loca, confusa, pero igual te intriga, porque bueno, en mi caso, me gusta ver como terminan, solo para entender un poco el final.
Hace poco una amiga me hablo de esta serie, la verdad no tenía idea de que se trataba, de hecho, estaba confundida, pensé que era otra cuando ella me la menciono, pero resulta, que estaba equivocada, esta serie es completamente diferente a la que me imagine.
The Sinner es una miniserie, que consta de 8 episodios, con cuatro temporadas, yo hasta los momentos solo he visto la primera, como dije al principio es un poco confusa, incluso torna un poco aburrida, pero el final te sorprende, y logras entenderlo todo.
En esta primera temporada, vemos como una joven madre, está pasando un día tranquilo en la playa con su esposo e hijo, cuando de repente sin ninguna explicación ataca a otro hombre, y lo apuñala una y otra vez, hasta matarlo.
Aquí es donde empiezan las interrogantes, porque lo ¿apuñalo, si no no lo conocía?, no le dio motivo alguno, ¿se volvió loca de repente?, o ¿hay algo detrás de este ataque repentino?
Como les mencione, al principio todo es muy confuso, donde todo se convierte en una búsqueda, del porqué esta mujer realizo este crimen, sin ninguna explicación aparente, ella solo dijo que lo hizo, sin pensarlo y sin saber por qué.
Cora personificada por la actriz Jessica Biel, se muestra como una mujer sombría, triste, perturbada, resignada a aceptar que pasara muchos años en prisión, pero esto no es suficiente para los detectives, sobre todo para uno en particular.
Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) es el detective, que se enfoca en dar con esta explicación, debido a que él sentía que algo no cuadraba, puesto que el perfil de Cora no encaja como una homicida.
Es aquí donde en cada episodio veremos la vida de Cora, la cual engloba un espiral de secretos oscuros, llenos de sexo, religión, drogas, y otras cosas más, lo que de alguna forma hará entender que la llevo a cometer este crimen.
No se puede negar la gran actuación de Jessica Biel, junto al actor Bill Pullman, siendo ellos los personajes principales, nos muestra un escenario turbulento, lleno de drama, suspenso, misterio.
Aunque me pareció un poco exagerada, esta relación, esta amistad entre el detective y la asesina, como dicen solo en la televisión ocurre esto, donde un policía se obsesiona con un caso, y se enfoca en ayudar al criminal, solo porque no le convence sus motivos para cometer dicho crimen.
No les puedo negar, la serie tiene sus momentos intensos, así como otros algo aburridos, pierde el sentido en alguna parte, pero de igual forma te tiene intrigado, y solo al final, de la historia es que logras entender todo.
Con una trama oscura, perturbadora, nos muestra distintos escenarios, conflictos entre familia, religión, abarca esto y mucho más, The Sinner, es una serie fuera de sí, donde vemos como se busca justificar un asesinato, y de esta forma eximirte la culpabilidad.
Lo que te hace preguntarte, el hecho de que tengas razones suficientes te exonera de pagar por tus crímenes, tienen que verla, para poder entenderla.

De igual manera, creo que voy a seguir viendo las otras temporadas, así les sigo compartiendo mis impresiones sobre esta pequeña miniserie, como ya les comente, cuando empiezo viendo algo, siempre busco terminar de mirarlo hasta el final, ¿ustedes también lo hacen?
