Nobody is prepared to see this movie, because we know that Andrew and Paul play a gay couple. Still, I think nobody or very few people knew the second plot of the movie, which is a thousand times painful, and that once everything comes together at the end we only have to cry and suffer without any choice. This movie is a total marvel, it has an unnatural softness in the way it is made that is completely surprising, I would never have expected a movie like this, almost tender, warm, like a hug.
This movie is going to introduce us to Adam, a movie script writer, who lives in his almost abandoned building, where he meets Harry, the only other person who lives several floors up, both will start to develop a loving relationship, at the same time Adam finds a way to start facing and healing all the traumas left by the fact that 30 years before he lost his parents in a car accident.
Nadie está preparado para ver esta película, pues sabemos que Andrew y Paul hacen de pareja gay, pero creo que nadie o muy poca gente sabía la segunda trama de la película, que es mil veces dolorosa, y que una vez todo se junta al final solo nos queda llorar y sufrir sin opción alguna. Esta película es una maravilla total, tiene una suavidez innatural en la forma en que está hecha que sorprende por completo, nunca hubiera esperado una película así, casi tierna, cálida, como un abrazo.
Está película nos va a presentar a Adam, un escritor de guiones de películas, que vive en su casi abandonado edificio, donde conoce a Harry, la única otra persona que vive varios pisos arriba, ambos comenzarán a desarrollar una relación amorosa, a la vez que Adam encuentra una forma de comenzar a enfrentar y sanar todos los traumas que le dejó el hecho de que 30 años antes perdió a sus padres en un accidente de tráfico.

Something that allowed me to make this movie is to finish confirming and strengthening my love for Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal, I mean, I still haven't gotten over Fleabag, I haven't gotten over Normal People, nor Aftersun, and the two of them dare to come together in a movie, play a couple, make me fall in love, and then leave me crying inconsolably? Si se atreven a ver esta película tengan preparado pañuelos, porque nada va a impedir que no lloren, nada evitará que no lloren, si tienen sentimientos y emociones hay una probabilidad del 100% de que van a terminar llorando. Extrañamente yo no lloré mientras la veía, pero no pasaron más de varios minutos después de que terminara la película y lo único que pude hacer fue llorar, y si pienso mucho en la película, cosa que estoy haciendo en este momento haciendo la reseña, vuelvo a tener lágrimas en los ojos y tengo que distraerme para no volver a llorar desconsoladamente.
Algo que me permitió hacer esta película es terminar de confirmar y afianzar mi amor por Andrew Scott y Paul Mescal, o sea, yo aún no supero Fleabag, tampoco he superado Normal People, ni Aftersun, ¿y se atreven los dos a unirse en una película, hacer de pareja, hacer que me enamore, y después dejarme llorando desconsoladamente? No se los perdono, pero como soy masoquista los sigo amando y seguiré volviendo a ver Normal People, Fleabag, y ahora añadiré a la lista esta película porque definitivamente se convirtió en una de mis favoritas, no la he vuelto a ver porque aprecio mi salud mental un poco, pero cuando esté en modo autodestrucción la veré de nuevo y sufriré eternamente.

Perfect, from the most cliché to the most emotional, it was a very well done representation of what it can be, because the first meeting was not as perhaps both would have wished, but once they begin to interact, to talk about their lives, their experiences, everything becomes the most beautiful thing they could have, which I loved too much, because it is the reality that many people would like to have. After all, they are always looking for an intense connection in any interaction they have. Here they not only have it, but they manage to keep it.
La trama de Adam enfrentando y comenzando a sanar del trauma que le dejó la muerte de sus padres hace 30 años es una cosa gigante, es algo que aunque sigan teniendo a sus padres con vida, o aunque tengan una buena relación con ellos, les afectará de formas impactantes, y es por esta misma razón que no hablaré de esa parte, porque es muy intenso, es muy emotivo, y ver la película sin saber qué es lo que está pasando en realidad es una maravilla que todas las personas tienen que experimentar al ver la película por primera vez.
En cambio, ¿la relación que se desarrolla entre Adam y Harry? Perfecta, desde lo más cliché hasta lo más emotivo, fue una representación muy bien hecha de lo que puede llegar a ser, pues el primer encuentro no fue como quizás ambos lo hubieran deseado, pero una vez comienzan a interactuar, a hablar de sus vidas, de sus experiencias, todo se convierte un la cosa más hermosa que pudieran llegar a tener, cosa que me encantó demasiado, porque es la realidad que muchas personas desearían tener, pues siempre se está buscando una conección intensa en cualquier interación que se tiene, y aquí no solo la tienen, si no que lo lográn mantener.

This movie is a beautiful thing, and hopefully, it will get more recognition than it is getting, which I do think it will, but just because the couple in the movie is gay already the world is against it, so knowing that it has a 7.8 on IMDB is enough for me for the moments, but it used to have 8.1, so, I don't know, people always do that. The movie has a slow start, then becomes the most enjoyable thing to watch, only to end up making us cry in ways we never thought we were capable of crying before. Please do yourselves a favor and see it.

Esta película es una cosa hermosa, y ojalá tenga más reconocimiento del que está teniendo, cosa que sí creo que llegue a pasar, pero solo porque la pareja de la película es gay ya el mundo está en contra de ella, así que saber que tiene un 7.8 en IMDB me basta por los momentos, pero antes tenía 8.1, así que, no sé, la gente siempre hace eso. La película tiene un inicio lento, luego se convierte en la cosa más agradable de ver, solo para terminar haciéndonos llorar en formas que nunca antes creímos ser capaces de llorar.
