New year, old awards, the Golden Globes are back! And as every year I publish my opinion and possible winners. This is the 80th Golden Globes, but more importantly, it's their return to television, after last year they were vetoed and the ceremony was not broadcast. Everything is old history, scandals about racism, abuse of power, sexual abuse, all associations and minorities protesting for greater representation, actors boycotting the event, returning awards won in the past, a whole soap opera that surely they must already have written the script for a future miniseries or movie. Hollywood wastes no time, it's all about money.

It is not the only black point of this ceremony, I think there are people who criticize that there are no women nominated this year as best director, but here I defend the association, there are only five films nominated for best director and no one is to blame that they are directed by men. I support inclusion, but if they really haven't put in a film directed by a woman that deserved to be nominated, it's not the association's fault, it's not including for the sake of including, the best should be selected, regardless of whether the director is female, male or alien.

Yo le hubiera dado una paliza, pero bueno, allí se manejan mucho los pleitos judiciales y luego pueden hasta quitarle la casa al actor e incluso ir a la cárcel.
No es el único punto negro de esta ceremonia, creo que hay gente que critica que no haya mujeres nominadas este año como mejor director, pero aquí yo defiendo la asociación, solo hay cinco películas nominadas a mejor director y nadie tiene la culpa de que sean dirigidas por hombres. Apoyo la inclusión, pero si realmente no han metido una película dirigida por una mujer que mereciera estar nominada, no es culpa de la asociación, no es incluir por incluir, se debe seleccionar al mejor, independientemente de si el director es mujer, hombre o extraterrestre.

Best Drama Film
Let's start with the highlight of the gala. I am surprised by some of the nominees in this category. First of all, Elvis, a film I loved, I thought it would be nominated in the other category of best musical film. This move by the foreign press is to leave it without the award.
But bigger surprise is to see the sequel to Avatar and the sequel to Top Gun, for crying out loud! A purely commercial move to capture this generation's audience. Foreign Press Association, this is not going to get young people to watch the ceremony. They've left out Blonde for these films - unforgivable!
Who will win? In the midst of these crazy nominations, the one that should take the serious prize is Tár or The Fabelmans. But these people are desperate to clean up their image, maybe they'll give it to Top Gun so Tom Cruise will make peace with them. I want Elvis to win, but Tár will win.
Best comedy or musical movie
There are better films in this category than Drama. It's crazy, but this award has already gone beyond its limits of absurdity. Elvis should be nominated in this category. They are all very good films, without hesitation I can say they deserve the nomination and be happy with the one that wins.
Triangle of Sadness may surprise and take the award. But I can't help but wish that Everything Everywhere All at Once wins this award. It is for me one of the best films of the year and a real multiverse madness. Plus, the main characters are Asian, if they want to be inclusive, let them do it with a really good movie. It's the one I want to see win, but for sure the award goes to The Banshee of Inisherin . take note!
Best Director
I will jump for joy with the victory of Dnaiel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert for Everything Everywhere All at Once. They deserve it, excellent direction for this film. But relax, I know they won't let me jump. James Cameron must have handed out a lot of freebies and an aggressive marketing campaign, they're going to give in to the self-proclaimed king of the world, even if his movie with those blue bugs is only good for sleeping and waking up in its final part. I think it will be one of the most disappointing awards for me.
Best Actor Drama
For me there are only two firm favorites, Brendan Fraser for The Whale and Austin Butler for Elvis. It's a duel between a veteran and beloved actor and a young man who has left his soul in his interpretation of the king of rock. An accolade to both, whoever wins, he deserves it. Butler is young, the nomination is already his award, he will have many opportunities in the future to be nominated again and win it.
Fraser has a great track record behind him, but remember what I commented at the beginning, he will not attend and is in conflict with the association. This would favor Butler, but the association has no shame and wants press releases that give them publicity, giving it to Fraser would be the master move to that end.
Best Drama Actress
The fire category. Five extraordinary actresses. Five fantastic performances. Five actresses devoted to their characters. I'm glad to see Ana de Armas, the only nominee for Blonde, what an injustice has been done to that film, but they couldn't leave out the actress, it would have been the height of cheek.
The nomination is her prize. Ana de Armas is already consecrated, she only needs an Oscar nomination. Now, who will win? I have it very clear: Cate Blanchet will take the award, they all deserve it, but she is a step above, not even the possible complaints for not giving it to Viola Davis will leave Blanchet without an award. Empezamos con el plato fuerte de la gala. Me sorprenden algunos de los nominados en esta categoría. En primer lugar, Elvis, una película que me encantó, pensé que estaría nominada en la otra categoría de mejor película musical. Este movimiento por parte de la prensa extranjera es para dejarla sin el premio.

Hay mejores películas en esta categoría que en la de Drama. Es una locura, pero este premio ya ha sobrepasado sus límites de absurdo. Elvis debería estar nominada en esta categoría. Todas son muy buenas películas, sin dudarlo puedo decir que merecen la nominación y alegrarme con la que gane.
Triangle of Sadness puede dar la sorpresa y llevarse el premio. Pero no puedo evitar desear que Everything Everywhere All at Once gane este premio. Es para mí una de las mejores películas del año y una auténtica locura de multiverso. Además, los protagonistas son asiáticos, si quieren ser inclusivos, que lo hagan con una película realmente buena. Es la que quiero que gane, pero seguro que el premio se lo lleva La Banshee de Inisherin. ¡tomen nota!
Mejor Dirección
Daré saltos de alegría con la victoria de Dnaiel Kwan y Daniel Scheinert por Everything Everywhere All at Once. Se lo merecen, excelente dirección para esta película. Pero tranquilos, sé que no me dejarán saltar. James Cameron debe haber repartido muchos regalos y una agresiva campaña de marketing, van a ceder ante el autoproclamado rey del mundo, aunque su película con esos bichos azules sólo sirva para dormir y despertar en su parte final. Creo que será uno de los premios más decepcionantes para mí.
Mejor Actor Drama
Para mí sólo hay dos firmes favoritos, Brendan Fraser por La ballena y Austin Butler por Elvis. Es un duelo entre un veterano y querido actor y un joven que se ha dejado el alma en su interpretación del rey del rock. Un espaldarazo a ambos, gane quien gane, se lo merece. Butler es joven, la nominación ya es su premio, tendrá muchas oportunidades en el futuro de volver a ser nominado y ganarlo.
Fraser tiene una gran trayectoria a sus espaldas, pero recordemos lo que comentaba al principio, no asistirá y está en conflicto con la asociación. Esto favorecería a Butler, pero la asociación no tiene vergüenza y quiere notas de prensa que les den publicidad, dárselo a Fraser sería la jugada maestra para ese fin.
Mejor actriz de drama
La categoría de fuego. Cinco actrices extraordinarias. Cinco interpretaciones fantásticas. Cinco actrices entregadas a sus personajes. Me alegra ver a Ana de Armas, única nominada de Blonde, qué injusticia se ha cometido con esa película, pero no podían dejar por fuera a la actriz, hubiese sido el colmo de la desfachatez.
La nominación es su premio. Ana de Armas ya está consagrada, sólo le falta la nominación al Oscar. Ahora bien, ¿Quién ganará? Yo lo tengo muy claro: Cate Blanchet se llevará el premio, todas se lo merecen, pero ella está un escalón por encima, ni siquiera las posibles quejas por no dárselo a Viola Davis dejarán a Blanchet sin premio. No habrá sorpresas (a lo mejor me equivoco, recuerda que no sé nada).
Best Supporting Actor
I don't know what Eddie Redmayne is doing here, he's a great actor and is the best thing aboutThe Good Nurse, but I really think there are other supporting performances from other films that should be up there.
I would give the award to Ke Huy Quan, but his strong competition is Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keogahan , both for The Banshee of Inisherin. I hope I get my wish and the Asian takes it, but something deep inside me, an inner voice, tells me that Gleeson will win.
Best Supporting Actress
I think the duel will again be between Everything Everywhere All at Once and The Banshee of Inisherin , that is, between Jamie Lee Curtis and Kerry Condon. I'm not sure which of the two could win. This category is bare and could throw up some surprises. I'm thinking coldly and I think the fight will be between Daniel Craig and Colin Farrell, with the latter being the big winner. I'm going to go with my gut. My money's on Farrell, who will take my bet?
Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy
I would love to see Anya Taylor Joy with the award, my Latin American heart would be happy for this Argentinian born actress, but I want and my bet goes with Michelle Yeoh, I would like Everything Everywhere All at Once to take the most awards, that would be something amazing. Although Margot Robbie is lurking and steals the show in Babylon, I'm still betting on Michelle Yeoh.
Best Animated Film
Here I'm going to cut to the chase and speculate, I'm offline and haven't been able to see some of the nominees, plus it's not the category I almost never get right, but from other users' reviews, I want Gulliermo del Toro's Pinocchio to win.
Best Foreign Language Film
All excellent, diverse genres and stories that really make an impact. A great selection of nominees. Argentina 1985 is one of the favorites, they have done a great job lobbying for it to win, plus it has Darín, one of my favorite Latin American actors. But I'll be honest, Decision to Leave and Im Westen nichts Neues seem superior to me, especially the latter, which is a remake, managed to impact me, plus the production work is a thousand times superior.

Aquí voy al grano y especulando, estoy desconectado y no he podido ver algunas de las nominadas, además no es la categoría en la que casi nunca acierto, pero por la crítica de los demás usuarios, quiero que gane Pinocho de Gulliermo del Toro.
Mejor película de habla no inglesa
Todas excelentes, géneros diversos e historias que realmente impactan. Una gran selección de nominados. Argentina 1985 es una de las favoritas, han hecho un gran trabajo de lobby para que gane, además tiene a Darín, uno de mis actores latinoamericanos favoritos.
