Hello to all friends of Movies and TV Shows, I hope you are super well, today, I want to talk to you about a super good movie, today I will give you my opinions of: Close. If you haven't seen it yet, this story is a roller coaster of emotions, it's one of those stories that you not only see with your eyes, but you feel it here, in your chest, it touches your soul... from the very beginning, it hooks you with a tenderness, but also with something fragile, that you feel that at any moment it's going to explode everything... the movie tells the story of Leo and Remy, two boys who are super friends, best friends, and have such a close, natural vibe, that it breaks your heart with how beautiful it is, from the shared laughter running through fields of flowers, to the secrets they whisper to each other in the dark, everything in their friendship shows you a pure connection, so genuine.
They help each other, one another, unconditionally, showing a complicity that, let's face it, few adults manage to have, it's a friendship that, at first, seems indestructible, a safe haven in a world that sometimes doesn't really understand the sensitivity and affection between two boys, they play, run around, support each other and live like in a bubble of total innocence . . but, as it happens in real life, that bubble, obviously, cannot last forever, when they enter school, their classmates start asking questions and making stupid comments: “Are they boyfriends? Are they gay? And although some of them don't mean it, those words put a little seed of doubt and embarrassment in Leo, who little by little starts to move away from Remy...
Hola a todos amigos de Movies and TV Shows, espero que se encuentren súper bien, en el día de hoy, quiero hablarles de una película super buena, hoy les daré mis opiniones de: Close. Si todavía no la vieron, está historia es una montaña rusa de emociones, es de esas historias que no solamente ves con los ojos, sino que la sentís acá, en el pecho, te llega al alma.. desde que arranca, te engancha con una ternura, pero también con una cosa como frágil, que sentís que en cualquier momento va a explotar todo.. la peli nos cuenta la historia de Leo y Remy, dos chicos que son súper amigos, mejores amigos, y tienen una onda tan cercana, tan natural, que te parte el corazón de lo linda que es, desde las risas compartidas corriendo por campos de flores, hasta los secretos que se susurran a oscuras, todo en su amistad te muestra una conexión pura, tan genuina.
Se ayudan mutuamente, uno al otro, incondicionalmente, mostrando una complicidad que, a ver, seamos sinceros, pocos adultos logran tener, es una amistad que, al principio, parece indestructible, un refugio seguro en un mundo que a veces no entiende mucho la sensibilidad y el cariño entre dos varones, ellos juegan, corren por ahí, se re apoyan y viven como en una burbuja de inocencia total.. pero, como pasa en la vida real, esa burbuja, obvio, no puede durar para siempre, cuando entran a la escuela, los compañeros empiezan con las preguntas, y los comentarios estúpidos: “¿Son novios? ¿Son gays?”. Y aunque algunos no lo hagan con mala intención, esas palabras les meten una semillita de duda y vergüenza a Leo, que de a poquito se empieza a alejar de Remy..
And this is where the film hit me, Close captures in an incredible way how children can be cruel without even realizing it, you know? for example, there is a scene that killed me, where a comment that seems stupid, to say that “it is not normal” that two kids are so close, generates an uncomfortable and strong tension between the two. It makes you realize how even the simplest words, those that seem like nothing, can plant a seed of doubt and leave deep wounds, not that they do it with bad intentions, but words have a huge weight, especially at that age when we all want to fit in no matter what... this is where the film throws the strongest criticism: why does society teach us men to relate in such an aggressive way, avoiding to show sensitivity and affection? It is an injustice that affection between men is seen as something rare, or that you have to explain it.. this prejudice, this stigma, is the real villain of the story, and the consequences are devastating, and the ugliest thing is that it is not fiction, it is something that is still happening.
The film is divided into two distinct parts, the first half is like a visual poem about friendship... the camera takes you so deep into Leo and Remy's world that you feel you are there with them, sharing everything, the scenes are very warm, full of light, and the music surrounds you with a tenderness that almost hurts, I swear. But then, wham, comes the unexpected twist, without spoiling anything (because you know I hate spoilers as much as you do), the second half gets much more reflective and dark... it's like going down to the depths of guilt, loss and searching for answers that, in the end, never quite get there... What struck me the most was how the movie shows how life can be so sad, it's not melodramatic or over the top at all, huh? It's raw, real, like life itself... there is one scene in particular, a moment of simple silence between a character and the world, that left me speechless, breathless... it makes you think of all the times you walked away from someone, either because of things in life or just because time passes... it also makes you remember those decisions you made to fit in, even if that took you away from the people that really mattered.
Y acá es donde la película me pegó, Close capta de una manera increíble cómo los niños pueden ser crueles sin siquiera darse cuenta, ¿saben? por ejemplo, hay una escena que a mí me mató, donde un comentario que parece una estupidez, decir que "no es normal" que dos chicos sean tan unidos, genera una tensión incómoda y fuerte entre los dos.. te hace dar cuenta de cómo hasta las palabras más simples, las que parecen nada, pueden plantar una semillita de duda y dejar heridas profundas, no es que lo hagan con mala intención, pero las palabras tienen un peso enorme, sobre todo a esa edad en la que todos queremos encajar como sea.. aqui es donde la película te tira la crítica más fuerte: ¿por qué la sociedad nos enseña a los hombres a relacionarnos de una forma tan agresiva, evitando mostrar sensibilidad y afecto? Es una injusticia que el cariño entre hombres se vea como algo raro, o que tengas que andar explicándolo.. ese prejuicio, ese estigma, es el verdadero villano de la historia, y las consecuencias son devastadoras, y lo más feo es que no es ficción, es algo que sigue pasando.
La película está como dividida en dos partes bien marcadas, la primera mitad es como un poema visual sobre la amistad.. la cámara te mete tan adentro del mundo de Leo y Remy que sentís que estás ahí con ellos, compartiendo todo, las escenas son re cálidas, llenas de luz, y la música te envuelve con una ternura que casi duele, te juro. Pero después, ¡pum!, viene el giro inesperado, sin spoilearles nada (porque saben que odio los spoilers tanto como ustedes), la segunda mitad se pone mucho más reflexiva y oscura.. es como bajar a las profundidades de la culpa, la pérdida y buscar respuestas que, al final, nunca terminan de llegar del todo.. Lo que más me impactó fue cómo la película muestra como la vida puede ser tan triste, no es nada de melodramático ni exagerado, ¿eh? Es crudo, real, como la vida misma.. hay una escena en particular, un momento de silencio simple entre un personaje y el mundo, que me dejó sin palabras, sin aire.. te hace pensar en todas las veces que te alejaste alguien, ya sea por cosas de la vida o porque simplemente el tiempo pasa.. también te hace acordar de esas decisiones que tomaste para encajar, aunque eso te alejara de las personas que realmente importaban.
Now, let's see, the acting... Oh my God! Eden Dambrine and Gustav De Waele, who play Leo and Remy, nailed it, they really aren't acting, they're living the movie, every look, every little smile, every tear... I swear you forget you're watching a movie! It's like you've entered their lives like that, almost getting in the way, and that, people, is pure talent, both from the boys and the director, Lukas Dhont... Visually, Close also does it wonderfully, a total work of art! All the photography is so, but so beautiful, seriously... the warm colors, those open landscapes.. they transmit all the freedom and innocence of childhood, I'm sure you know what I mean, but then, when things get more serious, the shots close in, they get dark, and that's when you feel all the oppression and how alone the characters feel.
And the music... It's delicate, emotional, but it doesn't overwhelm you, you know? It's the perfect complement to such a strong, intense story. Now, I'm not going to lie to you, this movie isn't for everyone... if you don't like those dramas that leave your heart in pieces, maybe you'd better skip it, but if you're up for watching a story that moves you inside and leaves you thinking a lot, Close is an experience that you really can't miss. Some people might say that the movie is trying too hard to get you to cry, that it's a bit manipulative to get you emotional, but for me, that sincerity with which it touches your heart is what makes it so, so special.
Ahora, a ver, las actuaciones... Dios mío! Eden Dambrine y Gustav De Waele, los que hacen de Leo y Remy, lo clavaron, de verdad que no están actuando, están viviendo la película, cada mirada, cada sonrisita, cada lágrima... ¡te juro que se te olvida que estás viendo una peli! y es como si te hubieras metido en sus vidas así, casi estorbando, y eso, gente, es puro talento, tanto de los chicos como del director, Lukas Dhont.. visualmente, Close también lo hace de maravilla, ¡una obra de arte total! toda la fotografía es tan, pero tan hermosa, que en serio.. los colores cálidos, esos paisajes abiertos.. te transmiten toda la libertad y la inocencia de la infancia, seguro saben a lo que me refiero, pero después, cuando la cosa se pone más seria, las tomas se cierran, se oscurecen, y ahí sientes toda la opresión y lo solos que se sienten los personajes.
Y la música... Es delicada, emotiva, pero no te invade, ¿sabes? Es el complemento perfecto para una historia tan fuerte, tan intensa, ahora, no les voy a mentir, esta peli no es para todo el mundo.. si a ti no te gustan esos dramas que te dejan el corazón hecho pedazos, quizás mejor la dejes pasar, pero si te animas a ver una historia que te remueve todo por dentro y te deja pensando un montón, Close es una experiencia que, de verdad, no te puedes perder. Algunos quizás digan que la película busca mucho la lágrima fácil, que es un poco manipuladora para emocionarte, pero para mí, esa sinceridad con la que te llega al corazón es lo que la hace tan, pero tan especial.
I finished watching it and I felt like my heart had been ripped out and then I was hugged. That feeling perfectly sums up what the movie is about: how fragile human relationships are and how even the smallest things we do can have a huge impact on the people around us. It's one of those movies that makes you think about how to be a better person, right? That makes you question how you treat others, how you connect with them... for me, personally, it made me think about my own friendships, about those times I might have distanced myself from someone for fear of "what will they say" and how we could be cooler, more open, kinder, and braver to show what we feel.
Close is a little gem, people, it hurts, yes, but one of those times when you like it to hurt... it reminds you that friendship is a kind of love that is worth its weight in gold and that you have to take care of it to death, no matter what the rest of the world thinks, I give it a 9.5/10, because let's see, it's almost perfect, but there are moments where maybe the pace slows down a little... but, the truth is, that doesn't take away anything from how incredible the movie is, and since you've already seen it, tell me in the comments below what you thought, did it hit you as hard as it did me? Yo terminé de verla, y sentí como si me hubieran arrancado el corazón y después me dieran un abrazo, es que esa sensación resume perfecto de qué va la película: lo frágiles que son las relaciones humanas y cómo hasta las cosas más chiquitas que hacemos pueden afectar un montón a la gente que nos rodea, es de esas pelis que te dejan pensando en cómo ser mejor persona, ¿no? Que te hacen cuestionarte cómo tratas a los demás, cómo te conectas con ellos.. a mí, personalmente, me puso a pensar en mis propias amistades, en esas veces que me pude haber alejado de alguien por miedo al "qué dirán" y en cómo podríamos ser más buena onda, más abiertos, más gentiles, y más valientes para mostrar lo que sentimos.
Close es una joyita, gente, duele, sí, pero de esas veces que te gusta que te duela.. te recuerda que la amistad es un tipo de amor que vale oro y que hay que cuidarlo a morir, sin importar lo que piense el resto del mundo, le doy un 9.5/10, porque a ver, es casi perfecta, pero hay momentos donde quizás baja un poquito el ritmo.. pero, la verdad, eso no le quita nada a lo increíble que es la peli, ya la vieron?cuéntenme abajo en los comentarios qué les pareció, ¿les pegó tan fuerte como a mí? y si no la han visto, ¿qué están esperando?.. en serio, véanla.. preparen los pañuelos, porque van a llorar, y sobre todo, van a sentir.. no es solo una película, es una experiencia genial que vale mucho la pena.. y bueno, está fue la reseña de hoy, espero que les guste, les dejare el tráiler aquí abajo, cuidense mucho, byebye.
