Hello everyone dear lovers of good stories... I hope you are feeling well today, this time I will give you my personal opinion about the series Hannibal, considered by many as a masterpiece. Surely many of you have seen this series, but there may also be people who do not know it... the first word with which I would describe this series is as a jolt of elegance, terror, with certain touches of mental and psychological games... this series is not your typical criminal plot, on the contrary, is a feast literally and figuratively hahaha, for those who enjoy something darker but at the same time refined. I finished watching it a few months ago and I still can't stop thinking about it... I think when watching this series it's impossible not to develop a certain fascination, and it's something both curious and a little disturbing... we have the amazing Mads Mikkelsen as Dr. Hannibal Lecter, and he does an amazing job, first, the visuals... the way this series is directed is sensational... imagine turning every crime scene into a highly twisted piece of art, that's Hannibal.

All the camera angles, even the food preparation, everything is meticulous, and yet disturbing, there is a constant tension between beauty and horror, I would catch myself admiring a perfectly presented dish only to be horrified to realize that it might not be something very tasty to say the least, at least not for me haha. If this series teaches you anything is that appearances can be deceiving, now, talking about the main character himself... the main actor dominates this role to perception, he is really charming and at the same time terrifying, from the beginning you know he is dangerous, but somehow he manages to captivate you... he has a calm and calculating behavior that makes your hair stand on end, and there are some therapy sessions that, oh my god, are like watching two predators surrounding each other, brushing the limits of the other to know who is going to be the victim at the end. Hugh Dancy as Will is just as phenomenal, his portrayal of a man on the edge of sanity is so compelling that it made me uncomfortable many times.. in the best possible way, of course, I think what stands out so much about this series is how it can make you feel.

Hola a todos queridos amantes de las buenas historias.. espero que hoy se encuentren muy bien, en esta ocasión les daré mi opinión personal sobre la serie Hannibal, considerada por muchos como una obra maestra. Seguro muchos de ustedes han visto esta serie, pero también puede existir personas que no la conozcan.. la primera palabra con la que describiría esta serie es como una sacudida de elegancia, terror, con ciertos toques de juegos mentales y psicológicos.. esta serie no es tu típico trama criminal, al contrario, es todo un banquete literalmente y en sentido figurado jajaja, para quienes disfrutan de algo más oscuro pero a la vez refinado. La terminé de ver hace algunos meses y aún no puedo dejar de pensar en ella.. creo que cuando veía esta serie es imposible no desarrollar cierta fascinación, y es algo tanto curioso como un poco preocupante.. tenemos al increíble Mads Mikkelsen como el Dr. Hannibal Lecter, y hace un trabajo impresionante, primero, los visuales.. la manera en la que está dirigida esta serie es sensacional.. imagina convertir cada escena de un crimen en una pieza de arte sumamente retorcida, eso es Hannibal.

Todos los ángulos de cámara, incluso la preparación de la comida, todo es meticuloso, y aún así inquietante, hay una tensión constante entre la belleza y el horror, me sorprendía admirando un plato perfectamente presentado solo para horrorizarme al darme cuenta de que podría ser algo no muy sabroso que digamos, al menos no para mí jaja. Si esta serie te enseña algo es que las apariencias pueden engañar, ahora, hablando del personaje principal en sí.. el actor principal domina este papel a la percepción, es realmente encantador y a la vez aterrador, desde el principio sabes que es peligroso, pero de alguna manera logra cautivarte.. tiene un comportamiento calmado y calculador que te pone los pelos de punta, y hay algunas sesiones de terapia que, oh dios mío, son como ver a dos depredadores rodeándose, rozando los límites del otro para saber quién va a ser la víctima al final. Hugh Dancy como Will es igual de fenomenal, su interpretación de un hombre al borde de la cordura es tan convincente que me hizo sentir incómodo muchas veces.. de la mejor manera posible, por supuesto, creo que lo que resalta mucho de esta serie es lo que puede hacerte sentir.

Speaking a bit about Will, his ability to empathize with killers is one of the most fascinating aspects this series has. This isn't just a tactical trick, it's a curse... watching him unravel case after case, while losing pieces of himself, was heartbreaking... you can feel sad for him, especially as his relationship with Hannibal deepens. Their dynamic is the heart of this series, and it's a relationship that becomes quite toxic, it's like watching a beautiful but lethal dance.. you know that at some point someone will end up getting hurt, but you still try to enjoy the process..

The pacing of the series might not be for everyone.. it can be a bit slow, deliberate, and boring in certain episodes, it's a story that takes its time to build up all the tension involving the characters, but I personally liked this.. it gives you time to absorb all the tension. It gives time to be able to absorb all the atmosphere, and allows us the viewers to get into the minds of the characters, but I admit that if you are used to faster narratives, this series may ask for some patience, but once it grabs you, you'll be there for sure, totally involved and you won't want to leave.

Speaking a bit about the violence, let's just say that this series doesn't hold back on any of it.. but despite some violent episodes, it never feels gratuitous, I mean, every drop of blood, every grotesque scene, has a certain purpose.. it's there to explore the darkest corners of the human psyche, and to challenge your comfort zone, obviously. Me, not being at all a fan of gore, I must admit that there were certain episodes or certain scenes where it was impossible not to want to look away.. but obviously I always came back with the curiosity to know what would happen next.

Hablando un poco sobre Will, su capacidad para empatizar con asesinos es uno de los aspectos más fascinantes que tiene esta serie. Esto no es solo un truco táctico, es una maldición.. verlo desentrañar caso tras caso, mientras pierde pedazos de sí mismo, fue algo desgarrador.. puedes sentirte triste por él, especialmente a medida que su relación con Hannibal se va profundizando. Su dinámica es el corazón de esta serie, y es una relación que llega a ser bastante tóxica, es como ver a un hermoso pero letal baile.. sabes que en algún momento alguien acabará lastimado, pero igual intentas disfrutar el proceso..

El ritmo que tiene la serie podría no ser para todos.. puede ser algo lento, deliberado, y aburrido en ciertos episodios, es una historia que se toma su tiempo para construir toda la tensión que involucra a los personajes, pero esto personalmente me gustó.. da tiempo para poder absorber toda la atmósfera, y permite que nosotros los espectadores podamos adentrarnos en la mente de los personajes, pero admito que si tú estás acostumbrado a narrativas más rápidas, puede que esta serie te pida algo de paciencia, pero una vez que te atrape, seguro estarás ahí totalmente envuelto y no te querrás ir.

Hablando un poco de la violencia, digamos que esta serie no se guarda nada de esto.. pero a pesar de algunos episodios violentos, nunca se siente gratuita, es decir, cada gota de sangre, cada escena grotesca, tiene cierto propósito.. está ahí para explorar los rincones más oscuros de la psique humana, y para desafiar tu zona de confort, obviamente. Yo, como no soy del todo fanático del gore, debo admitir que hubo ciertos episodios o ciertas escenas en las que fue imposible no querer apartar la mirada.. pero obviamente siempre regresaba con la curiosidad de saber que pasaría después.

The supporting cast also seemed pretty solid to me.. we have Jack Crawford's character, who brings a certain intensity, but in a balanced way to the series.. we also have Hannibal's therapist, who I thought was also spectacular.. the interactions between these two add a very nice layer of intrigue.. there are moments where you wonder, who is really taking control of the conversation or the session as such. Truth be told, if I'm honest, the third season of this series was a bit complicated for me, I feel like it changed the tone and pace very abruptly, focusing more on symbolism and an abstract narrative.. while some episodes felt like pure art, others felt quite slow to me, but not in the good way, but slow of boring and already, but the good thing is that by the end of the season everything seems to improve in an amazing way.. the denouement is totally worth it.

I feel that if at some point you get to feel bored watching this series, I recommend you do what I do, skip small minutes to more or less not lose the thread of the story... there may be chapters that do not end up convincing, but I assure you that if you do not abandon it, you can find several episodes, specifically the endings, which will be the most emotional and visually beautiful you've ever seen. As for the soundtrack, I thought it was also very good... it is haunting and at certain times amplifies every emotion, it is very well carried in moments of tension... and there were scenes where the music alone manages to transmit something to you... you don't know what is going to happen even before it happens, because of the same feeling that the music transmits to you.

El elenco secundario también me pareció bastante sólido.. tenemos al personaje de Jack Crawford, quien aporta cierta intensidad, pero de una manera equilibrada a la serie.. también tenemos a la terapeuta de Hannibal, que me pareció también espectacular.. las interacciones entre estos dos añaden una capa muy buena de intriga.. hay momentos en los que te preguntas, quién está realmente tomando el control de la conversación o de la sesión como tal. La verdad, si soy honesto, la tercera temporada de esta serie fue algo complicada para mí, siento que cambió el tono y el ritmo de manera muy abrupta, enfocándose más en el simbolismo y una narrativa abstracta.. mientras que algunos episodios se sintieron como arte puro, otros me parecieron bastante lentos, pero no de la forma buena, sino lentos de aburridos y ya, pero lo bueno es que al final de la temporada todo parece mejorar de una manera increíble.. el desenlace vale totalmente la pena.

Siento que si en algún momento se llegan a sentir aburridos viendo esta serie, les recomiendo hacer lo que hago yo, saltar pequeños minutos para más o menos no perder el hilo de la historia.. pueden que si hayan capítulos que no terminan de convencer, pero les aseguro que si no la abandonan, podrán encontrar varios episodios, específicamente los finales, que serán los más emocionales y visualmente hermosos que han visto. En cuanto a la banda sonora, me pareció también muy buena.. es inquietante y en ciertas ocasiones amplifica cada emoción, está muy bien llevada en los momentos de tensión.. y hubo escenas donde la música por sí sola logra transmitirte algo.. no sabes lo que va a pasar incluso antes de que ocurra, por la misma sensación que te transmite la música.

So, is this series really worth watching? If you love psychological thrillers, dark themes, and are not at all afraid of violence, this series is probably one of your favorites, but, I'm telling everyone, it's not an easy thing to watch. It's the kind of series that really demands your attention, your time, and will probably stay with you...it can make you think a lot about morality and what separates humans from monsters. At times, that line is eerily thin, I absolutely recommend it.. but, go somewhat prepared, however, again, it is very much worth it. For me it's a solid 8.5/10. Mainly because it has some pacing issues in certain seasons, but everything else I thought it was deluxe.. and well, that would be it for today.
