Welcome my dear dimensional travelers of the internet and thank you very much for making a temporary stop in my post, if you are frequent followers you will know that "Rick and Morty" is one of my favorite animated series, the fact that it knows how to give a balanced use to stupidities, disgusting and violence is what keeps me hooked on it, That is why today it is time to dedicate some time to its last season as well as to a special episode that I saw by chance. Without further ado, get ready to venture into other dimensions as we are about to begin.
Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros dimensionales del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, si son seguidores frecuentes sabrán que “Rick y Morty” es una de mis series animadas favoritas, el hecho de que la misma sepa dar un uso equilibrado a estupideces, asquerosidad y violencia es lo que me mantiene enganchado a la misma, es por ello que hoy toca dedicarle algo de tiempo a su última temporada así como a un episodio especial que vi por casualidad. Sin más que agregar, prepárense para aventurarse a otras dimensiones pues estamos por comenzar.

Rick and Morty has become a reference for irreverence, the unpleasant and the absurd, from the very beginning this season knows how to maintain in a good way all the essence that this series has, in turn, the creativity of its chapters reminds me of its first seasons in which everything was simpler and was more oriented to stupid comedy than to other things, In this sense, this season knows how to return to the roots in a very good way to bring new silly, grotesque and creative adventures.
¿Qué puedo decirles de esta serie animada que no sepan? Rick y Morty se ha vuelto en un referente para la irreverencia, lo desagradable y lo absurdo, desde el vamos esta temporada sabe mantener de buena forma toda la esencia que esta serie tiene, a su vez, la creatividad de sus capítulos me recuerda a sus primeras temporadas en las cuales todo era más simple y se encontraba más orientado a la comedia estúpida que a otras cosas, en este sentido, la presente temporada sabe regresar a las raíces de muy buena forma para traer nuevas aventuras tontas, grotescas y creativas.
Something that can be highlighted about this season is the fact that the cannon of the series was not given as much relevance, although it is nice to have sporadically a more linear and complex story that delves into the world of the series, however, the nature of it is clear, in this way, It is nice that these stories take place to develop concepts and/or characters without this having an absolute dominance in the season, the above does not imply that there is no development per se, some characters have a good approach to some traumas or problems that had been evidenced in past seasons and it is nice that in these they are given closure.
Algo que se puede destacar de esta temporada es el hecho de que no se le dio tanta relevancia al cannon de la serie, si bien es agradable tener esporádicamente una historia más lineal y compleja que ahonde en el mundo de la serie, no obstante, la naturaleza de la misma es clara, de esta forma, es agradable que dichas historias tengan lugar para desarrollar conceptos y/o a los personajes sin que esto tenga un dominio absoluto en la temporada, lo anterior no implica que no exista un desarrollo per se, algunos personajes tienen un buen enfoque a algunos traumas o problemas que se habían evidenciado en pasadas temporadas y resulta agradable que en estas se le dé un cierre a las mismas.
The 8th season of Rick and Morty is a perfect representation of the nature of the series, knows how to incorporate serious situations for some of their characters without these occupying too much time on the screen, thus allows the nonsense of several of the various adventures to be the main dishes of the series. It is for all the above that this season maintains their respective 4 stars over 7, for those who know the bases of the series I can tell you that this season follows that absurd pattern that hooks in a very prolific way.
La 8va temporada de Rick y Morty es una representación perfecta de la naturaleza de la serie, sabe incorporar situaciones serias para algunos de sus personajes sin que estas ocupen demasiado tiempo en pantalla, de este modo permite que las tonterías varias de las diversas aventuras sean los platillos principales de la serie. Es por todo lo anterior que esta temporada mantiene sus respectivas 4 estrellas sobre 7, para aquellos que conozcan las bases de la serie les puedo decir que esta temporada sigue ese patrón absurdo que engancha de forma muy prolífica.
We continue with the theme of Rick and Morty but this time with a special short film entitled "The Great Yokai Battle of Akihabara" made in Japan in 2021, to be completely honest this chapter is not out of the ordinary in terms of what this series has us used to, the only reason I make a special mention is because I stumbled upon this by chance and I didn't feel like it. Watch another new season of some other series to complete this section jajaja. In short, this is a filler, the episode per se deserves 3 stars out of 7, it is a little sillier and decaffeinated for what the series usually is, if you want to see something more of this franchise it is not a bad option to watch without having many expectations.
Seguimos con la temática de Rick y Morty pero esta vez con un corto especial titulado “The Great Yokai Battle of Akihabara” hecho en Japón en 2021, para ser completamente honesto este capítulo no se sale de lo convencional en cuanto a términos de lo que esta serie nos tiene acostumbrados, la única razón por la que le hago una mención especial es porque me topé con esto por casualidad y no tenía ganas de ver otra nueva temporada de alguna otra serie para completar esta sección jajaja. En síntesis, esto es un relleno, el capítulo per se merece 3 estrellas de 7, es un poco más tonto y descafeinado para lo que suele ser la serie, si tienen ganas de ver algo más de esta franquicia no es una mala opción para ver sin tener muchas expectativas.
