Muy buenas tengan todos y todas amigos hivers y cinéfilos, últimamente he tenido problemas con mi conexión a internet, pero afortunadamente el disco duro que vino con la pc que compre recientemente vino con una colección considerable de películas y he decidido dar mi opinión sobre algunas de ellas, comenzando la adaptación a acción viva del clásico de Disney Aladdin. Sin más preámbulos comencemos.
Good morning hivers and movie buffs, lately I have been having problems with my internet connection, but fortunately the hard drive that came with the pc I recently bought came with a considerable collection of movies and I have decided to give my opinion on some of them, starting with the live action adaptation of the Disney classic Aladdin. Without further ado, let's get started.
Por lo regular evito las adaptaciones a live actions, ya que normalmente el resultado es… cuestionable por decirlo de manera amable, por algo vengo viendo esta película ahora, pero para mi sorpresa fue una grata experiencia ver esta película, Disney sí que se lució.
I usually avoid live action adaptations, since the result is usually... questionable to put it nicely, but to my surprise it was a pleasant experience to see this movie, Disney really did a great job.
STORY AND PLOT
HISTORIA Y TRAMA
Seré breve. La historia es exactamente la misma que la de la película animada, quizás crean que esto es poco conveniente ya que no tiene una historia original, pero no, esto más bien le juega a favor ya que se trata de una adaptación es decir que mientras más fiel sea a la historia original mejor, o al menos eso pienso yo. Pero si es la misma historia ¿Por qué vería la película si ya he visto la animación? Esa pregunta será contestada más adelante.
I will be brief. The story is exactly the same as the animated movie, you may think that this is not very convenient since it has no original story, but no, this rather plays in its favor since it is an adaptation, that is to say that the more faithful it is to the original story the better, or at least that's what I think. But if it is the same story, why would I watch the movie if I have already seen the animation? That question will be answered later.
SONGS, DANCES AND MUSICAL ACTS
CANCIONES, BAILES Y NÚMEROS MUSICALES
This is what differentiates one movie from the other, they have not removed the iconic songs from the animation which are a cherished memory for many including yours truly, of course there were a few changes to the "you have a faithful friend in me" song but it's not a big deal. A few extra songs were also added but it doesn't feel as strenuous as a musical where they sing instead of talk, in this aspect the live action is very enjoyable.
Esto es lo que diferencia una película de la otra, no han retirado las canciones icónicas de la animación las cuales son un recuerdo preciado para muchos incluyendo a su servidor, claro hubieron unos pocos cambios en la canción de “tienes un amigo fiel en mi” pero no es la gran cosa. También fueron agregadas unas canciones extra pero no se siente tan extenuante como un musical donde cantan en vez de hablar, en este aspecto el live action es muy disfrutable.
CHARACTER ADAPTATION
ADAPTACIÓN DE LOS PERSONAJES
The truth is that one of the biggest problems in most live actions or adaptations, since almost always for not finding actors that adapt to the characteristics of the characters end up changing them completely, sometimes these are very notorious and rejected by the fans as MJ of the Spiderman trilogy of Tom Holland, Star-Fire of the Titans series, or those that are more accepted as Heimdall and Nick Fury of the UCM who originally in the comics were white. But here the characters couldn't be better adapted or more faithful to the originals, the one that takes away a little physical resemblance is Jaafar, but it's something subtle that is compensated by his performance.
La verdad es que uno de los mayores problemas en la mayoría de los live actions o adaptaciones, ya que casi siempre por no encontrar actores que se adapten a las características de los personajes terminan cambiándolos por completo, a veces estos son muy notorios y rechazados por los fans como MJ de la trilogía de Spiderman de Tom Holland, Star-Fire de la serie Titans, o las que son más aceptadas Como Heimdall y Nick Fury del UCM Quienes originalmente en los comics eran blancos. Pero aquí los personajes no podrían estar mejor adaptados o ser más fieles a los originales, el que se aleja un poco el parecido físico es Jaafar, pero es algo sutil que se compensa con su actuación.

I sincerely believe that I liked this live action more than the animated movie, something that by the way is very rare that happens to me but this movie did it, the musical number of the arrival of Prince Ali I liked much more than in the animation, the added jokes are a good detail, I understand that many of the jokes that the genie made and his references to the popular culture of the time could not be adapted, but please, this movie has Will Smith in a comic role, who by the way I was a little worried when they announced that he would play the genie, but they did a fantastic job with the CGI and his performance was very good.
Sinceramente creo que este live action ha llegado gustarme más que la película animada, algo que por cierto es muy raro que me pase pero esta película lo logró, el número musical de la llegada del príncipe Alì me gustó mucho más que en la animación, los chistes agregados son un buen detalle, comprendo que mucho de los chistes que hacia el genio y sus referencia a la cultura popular de la época quizás no se podían adaptar, pero por favor, esta película tiene a Will Smith en un papel cómico, quien por cierto me preocupo un poco cuando anunciaron que el interpretaría al genio, pero hicieron un fantástico trabajo con el CGI y su actuación fue muy buena.
