PLOT AND STORYLINE
TRAMA E HISTORIA
Esta trata sobre una joven que tras la muerte de su madre queda al cuidado de su padre, quien la maltrataba y se aprovechaba de ella, hasta que un día esta finalmente se defiende y es mandada aun internado, un internado muy raro donde se entrena a las chicas para dar bailes privados a quien mejor pague y si alguna se pone muy rebelde le realizan una lobotomía, si, lo sé es algo drástico pero hey, funciona.
A esta chica la cual es nombrada Babydoll en dicho internado al parecer tiene una habilidad muy peculiar y es que al comenzar a bailar puede alterar la percepción de la realidad de quienes la rodean, haciéndoles vivir una épica y extraordinaria aventura con cada una de sus coreografías (Me recuerda a Spiral de los comics de los X-Men) y ella junto a otras chicas usaran esta habilidad para tratar de escapar del internado, una hazaña que es más difícil de realizar de lo que parece.

100% GIRL POWER
Esta película tiene un mensaje Feminista que no llega a ser de mal gusto, es llevado de tan buena manera que no se ve un mensaje forzado en ningún momento o no hay una conveniencia demasiado notoria, similar a Wonder Woman del 2017.
This film has a Feminist message that doesn't come across as tasteless, it's carried in such a good way that you don't see a forced message at any point or there's no overly noticeable convenience, similar to 2017's Wonder Woman.
A BAD COMBINATION FOR THE TIME
UNA MALA COMBINACIÓN PARA LA ÉPOCA
As this is an auteur film with a feminist message that saw in 2011 it was highly criticized by the public and despite having several highlights many people cared little or nothing when it came to labeling the film as bad, but this changed a bit later after the release of Batman v Superman and even more after the release of Wonder Woman and the announcement of the Justice League's Snydercut, as Snyder's fans went crazy looking for other films directed by him to grow as fans and began to appreciate works that were frowned upon on their release.
Al ser esta una película de autor con un mensaje feminista que vio en 2011 fue muy criticada por el público y a pesar de tener varios puntos destacables a muchas personas eso les importó poco o nada a la hora de tachar la película de mala, pero esto cambiara un poco más adelante después del lanzamiento de Batman vs Superman y aún más después del estreno de Wonder Woman y el anuncio del Snydercut de la liga de la liga de Justice League, ya que los fans de Snyder se pusieron como locos a buscar otras películas que estuviese dirigidas por el para crecerse como fans y empezaron a apreciar obras que fueron mal vista en su lanzamiento.

OPINIÓN DE LA PELÍCULA.
To tell the truth I don't really like auteur films in general, since their authors usually throw everything down the drain for the fact of "It's my movie so I do whatever I want" and end up ruining the story, in this case I think the ending may be somewhat unsatisfactory for some, but I really think it's a better ending than the typical "we made it and now let's be happy". In addition there are points like the soundtrack, the music, the color palette and the lighting that are very consistent with the story, I would recommend that you give this movie a chance if you have not seen it but do not have very high expectations because yes, it is very good but, it is far from being a masterpiece.
And the truth is that if you put me from the beginning someone fighting with a big monster in an icy landscape using only a Katana be sure that you will win my attention, add that who fights is a girl with pigtails and you will hook me at least for 10 min.

A decir verdad no me gusta mucho el cine de autor por lo general, ya que sus autores suelen tirar todo al caño por el hecho de “Es mi película así que hago lo que me venga en gana” y terminan por arruinar la historia, en este caso creo el final puede ser algo insatisfactorio para algunos, pero la verdad considero que es un mejor final que el típico “lo logramos y ahora seamos felices.” Además hay puntos como el soundtrack, la musicalización, la paleta de colores y la iluminación que van muy acordes a la historia, yo recomendaría que le dieran una oportunidad a esta película si es que no la han visto pero que no tengan muy altas expectativas ya que si, es muy buena pero, está muy lejos de ser una obra maestra.
Y la verdad es que si me pones desde el comienzo a alguien peleando con un gran monstruo en un paisaje gélido usando solo una Katana ten por seguro que te ganaras mi atención, súmele que quien pelea es una chica con coletas y me engancharas al menos por 10 min.
