¡Hola!... Amantes del cine y de la televisión, saluditos desde la tierra del sol ardiente, bellas playas y palmeras. Un apapacho virtual. Vengo Volandito, de flor en flor para traerles unas reflexiones sobre la película “Amigos imaginarios”.

Society is the one that plans our life from the moment we are born: study, have a pet, have a profession, work, get married, work, have a house, have children, work and work, until the end. Do you believe that in this planned and organized life, instead of “having”, there can be room for “feeling”, that is: loving, being happy and above all smiling? Besides achieving success, what else do we expect from life? Where are the emotions? But I believe that a life without emotions and love is not worth living. On the other hand, technological advances have put us in “Dumb Mode”, I think this needs no explanation. He who understands... Understands.

This is how we are raising our children, sleepwalking without love and looking for what they have not missed in front of a screen. Believe it or not, a screen is also dangerous. But I am not here to talk about these issues, but about the most fucked-up age of the human being, adolescence, and my reflections on the movie “Imaginary Friends”.
Friends, it is at this neuralgic point, between childhood and adulthood, where the adolescent is located, who is neither a child nor an adult, and who suffers from all the ills of society. A misunderstood being, who sometimes has to cry alone without support, because his parents live in another world, sorry again, working to support their family, but without giving love to their children. Some teenagers do what they want because there is no adult around to tell them what is right or wrong.
As for “Imaginary Friends”, I would like to point out that nowadays, I don't think it's right for a teenage girl to go out with a man she has just met to look for a random place, if he's a psychopath, and the grandmother doesn't even know what the girl is up to. From my point of view, it is out of all reality. In today's society we have to be very cautious, and it seems that Bea, the protagonist, was not taught that she should not approach, or talk to strangers, or enter her apartment.
It's illogical that a teenager doesn't know that she shouldn't enter someone else's property. When my siblings used to jump over the wall of my backyard to get Mrs. Paula's dates, my mother would hit them hard for lack of respect, as a very famous saying goes: “Curiosity killed the cat”. Otherwise, I liked the movie, I decided to watch it, since I had it on my recommended list.
On the subject of AMI, it should be noted that the human being is complex, we are really, really weird. Many psychologists and psychiatrists have tried to understand the brain, the human mind and its behavior. Nothing at all. OMG, we are a hopeless case. Sometimes I ask myself: why an adult is not happy, but it is even more critical: why an adolescent is not happy, what prevents him from adapting to his environment?
I think, although I am not a specialist in this subject, but I did go through this stage like all human beings, and I lived in an environment where some friends were lost due to misunderstanding and lack of love. So, I think there is an abrupt rupture, where it is difficult for them to find their identity and their place in society. Perhaps in this rupture, they lose their imaginary friends, their support and support, when they feel alone due to lack of parental attention or fear.
Children tend to see things that an adult does not perceive, perhaps intuition. They tell their parents that they talk to other children. In the time of “Maria Castañas”, this was taken as a danger because, according to them, they were goblins that took the children away. Especially the unbaptized ones. But, some people have the ability to see beyond that and often have strange connections.

En qué momento de nuestra historia dejamos atrás las alegrías, sonrisas y la felicidad para convertirnos en lo que somos. Seres automatizados, zombis y que viven de la moda y la marca, ¿del qué dirán? Y consumistas. Incapaces de protestar, sumisos y siguiendo a un líder.. Sin sueños ni esperanzas, lo único que nos guía es el MONEY…MONEY. Para mí, “la culpa no es de la vaca”, sino de la sociedad, que inculca que un adulto no puede sonreír ni ser feliz.
La sociedad es la que nos planifica la vida desde que nacemos: estudiar, tener una mascota, tener una profesión, trabajar, casarse, trabajar, tener una casa, tener hijos, trabajar y trabajar, hasta el fin. Creo que este es el orden, y ni se te ocurra saltarlo, porque eres execrado de la tribu. OMG, disculpen de la sociedad y te conviertes en la oveja negra.
Ustedes creen, que en esta vida planificada y organizada, en lugar de “Tener”, pueda hacerse un espacio para “sentir”, es decir: amar, ser felices y sobre todo sonreír. Además de alcanzar el éxito, ¿qué otra cosa esperamos de la vida? ¿Dónde quedan las emociones? Pero creo que una vida sin emociones y sin amor, no vale la pena vivirla. Por otro lado, los avances tecnológicos nos han puesto “Modo Bobo”, creo que esto no necesita explicaciones. El que entiende… Entiende.
Dentro de poco preguntaremos:
¡Alexa! ¿A qué hora me toca sonreír? Me fui por la tangente, disculpen, es cuestión de la edad. Ja, ja, ja
Así estamos criando a nuestros hijos, sonámbulos sin amor y buscando lo que no se les ha perdido frente a una pantalla. Aunque ustedes no lo crean, una pantalla también es peligrosa. Pero no vine a hablar de estos temas, sino de la edad más jodida del ser humano, la adolescencia y de mis reflexiones sobre la película “Amigos imaginarios”.
Amigos, es en este punto, neurálgico, entre la niñez y el adulto, está ubicado el adolescente, que no es niño ni adulto, y quien padece de todos los males de la sociedad. Un ser incomprendido, que algunas de las veces tiene que llorar solo sin un apoyo, porque sus padres viven en otro mundo, disculpa otra vez, trabajando para mantener a su familia, pero sin dar amor a sus hijos. Algunos adolescentes hacen lo que quieren porque no hay un adulto cerca que les diga qué está bien o mal.
En cuanto a “Amigos imaginarios”, destaco que en la actualidad, no creo correcto que una adolescente salga con un hombre que acaba de conocer a buscar un lugar cualquiera. ¿Si es un psicópata?, y la abuela ni pendiente no sabe en qué anda la chica. Desde mi punto de vista, está fuera de toda realidad. En la sociedad actual hay que ser muy cautelosos, y parece que a Bea, la protagonista, no le enseñaron que no debe acercarse, ni hablar con extraños, ni entrar en su departamento.
Es algo ilógico, de plano, que una adolescente no sepa, que no debe entrar a una propiedad ajena. Cuando mis hermanos brincaban el paredón del patio de mi casa para coger los dátiles de la Sra. Paula, mi mamá les pegaba duro por falta de respeto, como dice un dicho muy famoso: “La curiosidad mató al gato”. Por lo demás, me gustó la película, decidí verla, ya que la tenía en mi lista de recomendadas.
Referente al tema del AMI, hay que destacar que el ser humano es complejo, somos raros de verdad, verdad. Muchos psicólogos y psiquiatras han intentado comprender el cerebro, la mente humana y su comportamiento. Nada de nada. OMG, somos un caso perdido. Algunas veces me pregunto: ¿por qué un adulto no es feliz?, pero es más crítico aún: ¿Por qué un adolescente no es feliz? ¿Qué le impide adaptarse a su entorno?
Creo, aunque no soy especialista en este tema, pero sí pasé por esta etapa como todos los seres humanos, y viví en un entorno, donde algunos amigos se perdieron por la incomprensión y el desamor. Entonces, creo que hay una ruptura brusca, donde les cuesta encontrar su identidad y su lugar en la sociedad. Quizás en esta ruptura, pierden a sus amigos imaginarios, su apoyo y soporte, cuando se sienten solos por falta de atención de los padres o por miedos.
Los niños tienden a ver cosas que un adulto no percibe, quizás la intuición. Dicen a sus padres que hablan con otros niños. En la época de “María Castañas”, esto era tomado como un peligro porque, según eran duendes que se llevaban a los niños. Sobre todo, los no bautizados. Pero, algunas personas tienen la capacidad de ver más allá y suelen tener conexiones extrañas.
Creo que hay momentos donde se abre una puerta, y pueden suceder muchas cosas. Sobre todo, en la mente de un niño. Por si acaso, dejen una luz encendida, solo por si acaso…

The movie “Imaginary Friends”, I watched it on Netflix over the weekend, however, its release was in 2024. I liked, above all, the world that Bea creates, it's gorgeous. Despite not smiling, losing her mother and being a precocious adult, her inner world is beautifully colored. So, too, the approach that adults also need their AMI to live, to smile and are their support to achieve their dreams and goals. It is fascinating.
As for, Bea's dad, I loved him from the beginning and her maternal grandmother. I like how this character changes her life when she remembers her dreams and connects with her AMi. As for, the actor who plays Cal, I think he lacked charisma and empathy.
Love the characters in the movie, i.e. the AMIS, each with their own particular characteristics. The sadness in their faces and mannerisms at the loss of their human friend. One of the aspects that impressed me, is the similarity they make with a teenager who goes to therapies to find a place in society. And AMI's search for his space, because he finds himself alone and without identity.
Where is my AMI? I don't remember her. Maybe scared in a place without knowing who she is? Or deep inside me, accompanying my inner child or self. Blue, Blossom, Cal, if you see my Amigui, tell her that even though I don't remember her, I know I loved her very much. Maybe it's because of age, I can't place her.

En cuanto al AMI, no soy una persona escéptica, porque hay muchos eventos que no tienen explicación. Este planteamiento no es algo nuevo, y para mí no es desconocido, ya que mi mami nos hablaba de sus amigos imaginarios. No tengo por qué dudar, de sus historias y anécdotas. Ella era feliz en su mundo. Hasta su último suspiro de vida, decía que estaban allí y conversaba con ellos. Y cuando ya no hablaba, les escribía. Sobre este tema, la periodista Fabiola Hernández Pérez, publicó un artículo en la página guía infantil, titulado: “Amigos imaginarios - Cómo puedes acompañar a tu hijo en esta etapa”, donde expresa lo siguiente:

Cabe destacar que los padres deben estar muy pendientes porque un amigo imaginario, también se ha creado por alguna razón como alucinaciones, y el no saber distinguir la realidad y la fantasía. En estos casos es conveniente llevar al niño a un psicólogo a tiempo. Como dicen por ahí: “ni muy muy, ni tan...tan” Desde mi punto de vista, ya que no soy especialista, el AMI entra cuando el niño comienza a sentirse solo. Al no tener a nadie con quien jugar y conversar, la mente comienza a hacer travesuras y dice:
"Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo”, así como el hada de Cenicienta, y de repente aparece. Pero, si no es así, y salen de alguna puerta que conecta a otras dimensiones. Desde que vi la película, me he preguntado, si tuve una amigui imaginaria y no la ubico. Lo que sí que recuerdo, es un libro en mis manos, un libro, y allí me sumergía y soñaba. Pasaba horas leyendo e imaginándome a la protagonista de mis historias. Además, viví rodeada de gente de mi edad con quien compartir y hablaba mucho.
Mis amiguis y yo parecíamos las cotorras que hablan. Iniciamos la educación formal juntas hasta el bachillerato. Mis miedos a la oscuridad, no se me han quitado, duermo con una luz encendida en la habitación. En toda la casa por donde yo pase tiene que haber una luz. Sin embargo, no considero un gran problema. Pero, algunas personas no pueden lidiar con sus miedos y mucho menos en la adolescencia.
Yo parto desde el principio, que si para un adulto no es fácil adaptarse a cambios, superar los miedos, levantarse después de una pérdida, es mucho más difícil para un niño y un adolescente. Creo que es un error minimizar sus problemas y decir: -Después se le pasará, es un niño malcriado-
Cada cabeza es un mundo, crían a sus hijos a su manera, y como mejor les parezca. Después, que asuman las consecuencias de sus errores.
La película “Amigos imaginarios”, la vi en Netflix el fin de semana, sin embargo, su estreno fue en el 2024. Me gustó, sobre todo, el mundo que crea Bea, es bellísimo. A pesar de no sonreír, de que perdió a su madre y de ser un adulto precoz, su mundo interior es de bellos colores. Así, mismo, el planteamiento de que los adultos también necesitan a su AMI para vivir, sonreír y son su apoyo para lograr sus sueños y metas. Es fascinante.
En cuanto, al papá de Bea, lo ame desde el principio y a su abuela materna. Me gusta cómo este personaje cambia su vida cuando recuerda sus sueños y se conecta con su AMi. En cuanto, al actor que hace el papel de Call, creo que le faltó carisma y empatía.
Ame a los personajes de la película, es decir, a los AMIS, cada uno con sus características particulares. La tristeza en sus rostros y modos por la pérdida de su amigo humano. Uno de los aspectos que me impresionaron, es la similitud que hacen con un adolescente que va a terapias para encontrar lugar en la sociedad. Y la búsqueda del AMI de su espacio, porque se encuentra solo y sin identidad.
¿Dónde estará mi AMI? No la recuerdo. Quizás asustada en un lugar sin saber ¿Quién es? O muy dentro de mí, acompañando a mi niño o yo interior. Blue, Blossom, "Cal", si ven a mi Amigui, díganle que, aunque no la recuerde, sé que la ame mucho. Quizás es por la edad, que no la ubico.
