It is always pleasant and relaxing to travel in the world of cinema and television. A little escape from the every day and sometimes exhausting life is always nice. I usually love watching series from my cell phone. You can't imagine how much I enjoy it and how much I love my phone for that reason.
Netflix is one of my favorite platforms of choice when it comes to watching series that I love. My favorite genre, as you all know from previous posts in this fabulous community, is K-dramas or doramas.
Of this genre, historical and epic type dramas, have a special preference for me. Perhaps it is because I love to move to that time and learn more about the culture of that beautiful country that I admire as it is South Korea. I have an endless list of this genre, which I never get to fulfill and it is because I always come up with a new suggestion that includes, among others, historical dramas.
Siempre es grato y relajante viajar en el mundo del cine y la televisión. Darnos una escapadita de lo cotidiana y a veces agotadora que es la vida diaria, siempre será agradable. Por lo general me encanta muchísimo ver series desde mi teléfono celular. Ni imaginan cuánto lo disfruto y lo tanto que amo mi teléfono por esa razón.
Netflix es una de mis plataformas favoritas de elección a la hora de ver las series que me gustan. Mi género favorito, como todos saben por publicaciones anteriores en esta fabulosa comunidad, es la de los k- dramas o doramas.
De este género, los dramas de tipo histórico y épico, tienen una especial preferencia para mí. Quizás sea porque me encanta trasladarme a esa época y conocer más de la cultura de ese hermoso país que admiro como lo es Corea del Sur. Tengo una interminable lista de este género, que jamás llego a cumplir y es porque siempre me consigo con una nueva sugerencia que incluye, entre algunas, dramas de tipo histórico.
In this type of production, I am fascinated by the setting including scenarios, production itself, costumes, language, and others, which make me know a little more about this fabulous culture and its history.
Among these suggestions, I came across one known as Entre dinastías: The New Era. It is also known on movie sites as Mi país, la nueva generación (My country, the new generation). A historical type production, it recreates part of the end of a period of history known as the Goryeo dynasty. Showing part of their culture, secrets, rivalries, and others made me decide to watch it.
A 16-episode series, from 2019, broadcast by South Korea's JTBC television network and streamed by Netflix outside of South Korea. It is set at the end of the Goryeo dynasty and shows the reality regarding greed for power and all that it can generate around it.
De este tipo de producción me fascina la ambientación que incluye escenarios, producción en sí, vestuarios, lenguaje y otros, que me hacen conocer un poco más de esta fabulosa cultura y su historia.
Entre esas sugerencias, me encontré con una conocida como Entre dinastías: La nueva era. También se le conoce en los sitios de películas como Mi país, la nueva generación. Una producción de tipo histórico, que recrea parte del final de un periodo de historia conocido como la dinastía Goryeo. Mostrando parte de su cultura, secretos, rivalidades y otros que me decidieron a verla.
Una serie de 16 capítulos, del año 2019, emitida por la cadena televisiva JTBC de Corea del Sur y transmitida por Netflix fuera de ese país. Esta se desarrolla en el final de la dinastía Goryeo, y muestra toda esa realidad en lo que respecta a la codicia, por el poder y todo lo que esta puede generar a su alrededor.
The ambition for power is something that has not changed since its origins and still, in all its forms and moments, remains in the same essence, in which many fight and do everything in their power (due and undue) to achieve that which encourages them and is fixed in their mind as their main goal.
The main protagonists are Yan Se-jong (as Seo Hwi), and Woo Do-hwan (from King Eternal Monarch, as Nam Seon-ho), a pair of friends who despite their different social classes, forge a beautiful and enduring friendship, which surpasses any feelings or rivalry arisen in that power struggle, mainly because they find themselves supporting each other. I loved the feeling of friendship that arose between them and how they preserved it even at the cost of rivalries and terrible and unfortunate moments.
A series that even when it has scenes of sweet love and suffers from so many difficult events around them, focuses more on the value of friendship between several, coming to overcome even the most terrible moments that try to separate them. It shows the resilience of human beings hit by a war encouraged by the greed and ambition of some, who use other innocent people with blood and swords to achieve their goal.
La ambición por el poder, es algo que no ha cambiado desde sus orígenes y aún, en todas sus formas y momentos, se mantiene en la misma esencia, en la que muchos luchan y hacen todo lo que este a su alcance (debido e indebido) por lograr aquello que los alienta y está fijo en su mente como meta principal.
Los protagonistas principales son Yan Se-jong (como Seo Hwi), Woo Do-hwan (del Rey Eterno Monarca, como Nam Seon-ho) , una pareja de amigos que a pesar de sus distintas clases sociales, forjan una hermosa y perdurable amistad, que sobrepasa cualquier sentimiento o rivalidad surgida en esa lucha por el poder, principalmente porque se encuentran apoyando a otros. Me encantó el sentimiento de la amistad surgida entre ellos y el como la conservaron aun a costa de rivalidades y terribles e infortunados momentos.
Una serie que aun cuando tiene escenas de un amor dulce y sufrido por tantos sucesos difíciles a su alrededor, se centra más en el valor de la amistad entre varios, llegando a vencer aún los momentos más terribles que intentaron separarlos. Muestra la resiliencia de seres humanos golpeados por una guerra alentada por la codicia y la ambición de algunos, que usan a otros inocentes entre sangre y espadas para alcanzar su objetivo.
The feeling of friendship born from adversity and suffering, between four human beings struck by injustice and a war that is not theirs. Seo Hwi, Moon-bok, Park Chi-do, and Jeong Beom, together, form a beautiful brotherhood from a very difficult and dark moment in their lives, later becoming great brothers, after being resilient and growing from that adversity. This was a very beautiful friendship that was maintained and strengthened throughout the plot.
The authenticity and values as a person, maintained by one of the main protagonists (Seo Hwi), who even coming from the tragic and unjust death of his father, when he was a child, maintains his integrity and values as a human being, giving utmost importance to his friendship with Nam Seon-ho, despite the disastrous events that surrounded them before them.
Nam Seon-ho, the other main protagonist, despite his difficult existence and birth, and a ruthless father who never gave him the value he had, survived many things and, despite wanting to ignore him at times, the bond of true friendship between Hwi and him was always present in his life and never dissolved despite him wanting to ignore it at times.
El sentimiento de amistad que nace desde la adversidad y el sufrimiento, entre cuatro seres humanos golpeados por la injusticia y una guerra que no es de ellos. Seo Hwi, Moon-bok, Park Chi-do y Jeong Beom, juntos, forman una hermandad hermosa desde un momento muy difícil y oscuro de sus vidas, llegando luego a ser grandes hermanos, después de ser resilientes y crecer desde esa adversidad. Esta fue una amistad muy hermosa que se mantuvo y se fortaleció a lo largo de la trama.
La autenticidad y los valores como persona, que mantuvo uno de los protagonistas principales (Seo Hwi), quien aun viniendo de la muerte trágica e injusta de su padre, cuando él era niño, mantiene su integridad y sus valores como ser humano, dándole suma importancia a su amistad con Nam Seon-ho, muy a pesar de los sucesos funestos, anteriores a ellos, que los rodeaban.
Nam Seon-ho, el otro protagonista principal, muy a pesar de lo difícil de su existencia y su nacimiento, y de un padre despiadado que nunca le dio el valor que él tenía, sobrevivió a muchas cosas y, muy a pesar de querer ignorarlo en momentos, el lazo de amistad auténtica entre Hwi y él, siempre estuvo presente en su vida y nunca se disolvió muy a pesar de él querer ignorarlo en algunos instantes.
The villain of the series must always exist. In this case, somewhat ruthless, but sexy and well poised, I liked Prince Jeongan, played by actor Jang Hyuk, he was great in his performance and in the fact that he was a villain who within himself, faced many mixed emotions. Feelings between his lust and greed for the throne, as well as the guilt of having to do wrong things against his people to achieve his goal. He, in particular, enchanted me in his performance.
Jeongan is someone who grew up amid his father's contempt and use, which developed his greed to reach the throne, debating at times, between good and not so good feelings, to finally follow the dark path to achieve his dream.
El villano de la serie siempre debe existir. En este caso, algo despiadado, pero sexy y bien aplomado, me gustó el Príncipe Jeongan, interpretado por el actor Jang Hyuk, estuvo genial en su interpretación y en el hecho de ser un villano que dentro de sí, enfrentó muchas emociones encontradas. Sentimientos entre su ansia y codicia por el trono, como por la culpa de tener que hacer cosas indebidas contra los suyos, para alcanzar su objetivo. Él, particularmente, me encantó en su actuación.
Jeongan es alguien que creció en medio del desprecio y utilización de su padre, lo cual, desarrolló su codicia por alcanzar el trono, debatiéndose en momentos, entre sentimientos buenos y otros no tanto, para al final seguir el camino oscuro a fin de alcanzar su sueño.
The fight for a new time, free from the corruptions and deviations of many of those who held power, that feeling of hope for a new future, which has always existed, I liked this series. Beyond the greed, and the clinging to power by some, there is that feeling of hope of the common people, for a better future. That message was motivating.

El luchar por un nuevo tiempo, libre de las corrupciones y desvíos de muchos de los que ostentaban el poder, ese sentimiento de esperanza por un nuevo futuro, que ha existido desde siempre, me gustó de esta serie.
