Para los amantes de la Astronomía, en el día de hoy les vengo a recomendar una muy buena película apocalíptica llamada Don't Look Up, donde la tierra es amenazada por un cometa que va en órbita hacia el planeta tierra. En todo el desarrollo de la película, es de género comedia y apocalíptica, a continuación os dejaré anexado un pequeño resumen (sin spoiler) con algunas respectivas imágenes referenciales.
For astronomy lovers, today I come to recommend a very good apocalyptic movie called Don't Look Up, where the earth is threatened by a comet that orbits the planet earth. Throughout the development of the film, it is of a comedy and apocalyptic genre, below I will leave you with a small summary (without spoilers) with some respective reference images.
En un principio, el trama comienza con una estudiante astrónoma llamada Kate Dibiasky, quién se encuentra realizando estudios en un centro de astronomía con un gigante y avanzado telescopio, al utilizarlo, descubre un cometa orbitando dentro del sistema solar.

Inmediatamente ella contacta a su profesor universitario Dr. Randall Mindy y le informa acerca de su descubrimiento, este realiza unos cálculos científicos referente a la órbita del cometa y tal pareciera que tendrá lugar de impacto con la tierra, en un tiempo de 6 meses aproximadamente, además de que el cometa mide entre unos 5 a 10 kilómetros, lo que sería suficiente para crear una extinción masiva en todo el planeta.

Preocupados por la gran amenaza que se avecina, le informan a la NASA, donde es asignado en la tarea al Dr. Teddy Oglethorpe, para que este les acompañe. Los tres se dirigen hacia la casa blanca, con la finalidad de hablar con la presidenta de los Estados Unidos, pero esta se toma el asunto poca importancia, incluso hasta le pareciera gracioso.

The three go to the white house, in order to talk to the president of the United States, but she takes the matter lightly, even to the point of finding it funny.

Mientras que la gente se burla y tratan de obviar la noticia, el cometa cada vez se esta acercando, algo tan hermoso, que a la vez es aterrador y abrumador de verlo.
While people scoff and try to ignore the news, the comet is getting closer, something so beautiful, that it is both terrifying and overwhelming to see.
