El pasado mes de julio se estrenó "Untamed", una producción original de Netflix que inicialmente fue concebida como una miniserie de tan solo seis episodios, pero por la gran aceptación del público y la crítica especializada fue renovada para una segunda temporada convirtiéndose ahora en una serie regular; esa noticia me motivo a ver lo que ahora es su primera temporada, en dónde se narra la historia del agente especial "Kyle Turner" quien deberá resolver un caso de un posible asesinato ocurrido en el extenso parque nacional de Yosemite; justamente ese hecho hará que traumas del pasado de Kyle se fortalezcan afectando no solo su mente, sino el caso a resolver.

That news motivated me to watch what is now its first season, which tells the story of Special Agent Kyle Turner, who must solve a possible murder case that occurred in the vast Yosemite National Park. That very event will cause Kyle's past traumas to resurface, affecting not only his mind but also the case he must solve.
A pesar de no tener conocimiento sobre esta serie, de igual manera confíe en la opinión pública y en la decisión de Netflix; la idea en que la base de la ahora serie sea la resolución de un caso, la cual tendría un relato dividido en pocos episodios fue lo que me motivó aún más para ver está nueva serie con muy pocas expectativas a sabiendas de que seguramente no existe originalidad; eso me llevó a desear el presenciar una historia entretenida lo cual es lo que siempre espero obtener de una producción de Netflix y después de finalizar esta historia, puedo decir que es una producción entretenida, nada original y alejada de ser la mejor en su género.
Situar está historia en un lugar en donde a pesar de tratarse de un extenso bosque con sus muchos peligros a presentar, creo que fue una decisión adecuada, ya que no se espera que tanto caos pueden estar presentes en un lugar en donde se puede percibir paz o simplemente tranquilidad y hermosura, esto fue una decisión que me gustó mucho porque el peligro generado por humanos no tiene límites; hago referencia a lo antes descrito porque creo que es la percepción que tiene el personaje "Kyle Turner" de la mayoría de las personas que lo rodean y los que por supuesto visitan el parque, este es un aspecto importante porque la historia de esta serie está relatada desde el punto de vista de este personaje, un hombre que ha sufrido y a quien su pasado le atormenta de tal manera que ha aprendido a vivir con un gran dolor, pero que también sirve como un impulso para llevar a cabo su trabajo como agente de justicia en el parque.
Despite not knowing anything about this series, I still trusted public opinion and Netflix's decision. The idea that the basis of the series is the resolution of a case, which would be told in a few episodes, motivated me even more to watch this new series with very low expectations, knowing that it would probably lack originality. that led me to want to witness an entertaining story, which is what I always hope to get from a Netflix production, and after finishing this story, I can say that it is an entertaining production, not original and far from being the best in its genre.
Setting this story in a place where, despite being a vast forest with many dangers to present, I think it was the right decision, since one does not expect so much chaos to be present in a place where one can perceive peace or simply tranquility and beauty. This was a decision that I liked very much because the danger generated by humans has no limits. I refer to the above because I believe it is the perception that the character "Kyle Turner" has of most of the people around him and those who visit the park. This is an important aspect because the story of this series is told from the point of view of this character, a man who has suffered and whose past torments him so much that he has learned to live with great pain, but which also serves as an impetus to carry out his work as an agent of justice in the park.
La actuación de Eric Bana como "Kyle", es lo más importante de la serie; como describí anteriormente, este es el típico personaje atormentado por un pasado que parece nunca poder dejar atrás lo cual afecta en la relación con personal que trabaja con él, así como la de su familia y en dónde solo encuentro una conexión con el uso de bebidas alcohólicas; en eso es que la originalidad se pierde por completo en esta historia, ya que es siempre repetitivo ver a un protagonista en una edad entre 40 o 50 años que es el mejor en su trabajo, pero con problemas de actitud por traumas del pasado; ahora con respecto al desempeño de Bana, cumple con representar la imagen de este tipo de personajes así como realizar una correcta actuación en dónde por breves momentos demuestra vulnerabilidad y el dolor por lo que ha sufrido; su personaje es de un hombre atormentado que no esconde su manera de lidiar con sus problemas, pero a la vez muestra fortaleza porque creo que es lo que muchos esperan de él y puede ser contradictorio lo que diré, pero a pesar de ser un personaje con cumple con todos los clichés de este tipo de historias, en mi opinión es lo positivo en esta serie.

His character is a tormented man who does not hide the way he deals with his problems, but at the same time shows strength because I think that is what many expect of him. It may be contradictory what I am about to say, but despite being a character who fulfills all the clichés of this type of story, in my opinion, he is the positive aspect of this series.
Untamed no es una serie perfecta, el guion contiene una gran cantidad de agujeros argumentales que alguno que otro se resuelven porque sí; a eso, sumo que a pesar de que aprecio los pocos episodios, creo que buscar abarcar mucho justamente y nuevamente repito, la resolución de algunas tramas no son para nada las mejores; con respecto al tema principal el cual está enfocado en como su protagonista debe lidiar con una gran cantidad de duras pérdidas, en mi opinión es lo mejor de la serie aunque también debo decir que se ha hecho mejor desarrollo sobre este tipo de personajes así como de actuaciones y es que justamente esa falta de originalidad es lo que resta relevancia a esta serie aunque viendo la gran aceptación que ha tenido, seguramente ofreció a una gran cantidad de público lo necesario para disfrutarla lo cual al final es el objetivo principal; a pesar de no calificar a esta serie como excelente, mentiría si digo que no tengo cierta expectativa con respecto a que relatar en la confirmada segunda temporada, solo espero que se cuente con guionistas que desarrollen un mejor caso y así mostrar una nueva faceta de su protagonista.
Untamed is not a perfect series. The script contains a lot of plot holes, some of which are resolved for no apparent reason. With regard to the main theme, which focuses on how the protagonist must deal with a large number of difficult losses, in my opinion, it is the best part of the series, although I must also say that this type of character has been developed better, as have the performances. It is precisely this lack of originality that detracts from the relevance of this series, although given its widespread popularity, it surely offered a large audience what they needed to enjoy it, which in the end is the main objective. Despite not rating this series as excellent, I would be lying if I said that I do not have certain expectations regarding what will be told in the confirmed second season. I just hope that there will be screenwriters who develop a better storyline and thus show a new side of the protagonist.
