Another teen angst movie starring Ryan Reynolds. Written, Produced, Directed, starring John Krasinski.

She is then led into the world of Imaginary Friends where she teams up with Reynolds to find homes for them.

The movie is relatively entertaining, though padded heavily with fantasy images with the girl and the IFs, including a song and dance number.
Ryan Reynolds plays Ryan Reynolds. John Krasinski is the overly happy father. Cailey Fleming does a very good job of playing the young girl transitioning to adulthood while trying to hold onto her childlike imagination.

The biggest deviation from the formula is that there is no bad guy. They aren't fighting anyone. It's just a movie about the loss of childhood innocence, imagination and freedoms as life beats it out of you and turns you into an adult.
There are enough shiny things to entertain the young kids, but it really isn't a kid's movie. This movie hits adults squarely in the face with a sledgehammer while the children watch blissfully unaware of what the future holds for them.
Reynolds and Krasinkski called all of their Hollywood friends in to voice various IFs. Half of Hollywood is in this movie for a few seconds.
Of course, there is an invisible Imaginary Friend that has no lines and in an homage to Deadpool 2, is credited as being played by Brad Pitt.
It's a decent enough movie for a matinee on a rainy day, but I'd wait until it becomes available on your favorite streaming service.
