I hope you are all doing well. I'm doing well, thank God, catching up on a few things here at Hive, one of which is the reviews. I had kind of forgotten about them until today, ha ha ha, but that's not true. It's not that I don't know what to do, it's just that reviews are something I put a lot of work into, and if I'm busy and don't have time to think about what I'm going to say, I prefer to put it off until I can fully concentrate on it.

In fact, I've had several reviews pending, but I loved this movie I saw, even though it's really old, and yes, it's for girls, and at the same time I found out that it's popular culture, but what can I say, folks, I'm from the '99 era when I only watched things like Star Wars, Transformers, Power Rangers, etc... I saw these teen classics later on Nickelodeon, ha ha ha.

But thanks to my girlfriend, because she was the one who made me watch this movie, she tells me that this film gave birth to teen culture, with the popular girls and the marginalized girls or boys in high school. And I really understood it, because it's the purest movie I've seen, in which the entire sequence shows the disordered lives of each of the protagonists, where there is no good or bad. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

So, although I have several reviews to show and comment on, let's get back to this one, Mean Girls. Remember that in all my reviews I give a brief summary and at the end I give my comments from my perspective on what I thought of the movie.

This story begins with Cady Heron, a girl who has been raised in isolation from the world. Her parents, who are zoologists, are constantly traveling, which has prevented Cady from interacting with other boys and girls her age over the years, including in high school. Everything she knows she has learned at home with her parents.

When they finally arrive from Africa, they decide to enroll her in school. Although she has no friends or trusted contacts within the institution, she decides to venture into the high school environment, innocent and trusting of her new classmates. She compares her reality with her experiences in Africa with her parents.

There, Cady meets a group of girls known as the Plastics, who are the popular girls at the school, where everyone does what they say. Strangely enough, the leader of this group takes an interest in Cady and invites her to join their group, without Cady knowing that in the school world, full of strangers, you can only trust those who truly offer you genuine help and that not everyone is a real friend, but she will have to learn that at her own risk.

Well, well, well. What can I say? There are so many things I could say about this movie, and as always, to avoid confusing you in my comments, I'll organize them in order of what I think is most important, second most important, and third most important, ha ha ha. First, the acting, 10/10. I mentioned this to my girlfriend. I'm someone who pays attention to acting, even though I'm not a film professional, much less an actor. I enjoy the authenticity of the characters, and in this film, each character had their own thing and played their role as it should be, including how they should make you feel. Unfortunately, there are films today that try to do it with more special effects than with the magic of the actors. In contrast, in 2004, each character fulfilled their role and moved me with the sea of emotions they were supposed to, but ask my girlfriend about the jokes I made with each anecdote about the characters, ha ha ha.

That's my other point. The plot completely captivated me. I won't lie to you. At first, I said, "Okay, we're starting with a teenager who doesn't know where she stands. She's going to meet students who will accept her and others who will pretend to accept her." Typical, because I'm used to that copied teenage plot, whether in series, movies, or books. But not here. Here, there was authenticity about what really happens in many lives. Of course, this varies depending on the culture, but in short, Cady must find her own stance on what she should do. Just because she's the protagonist doesn't mean she's the good guy in the story, nor does it make her the bad guy. She's just a girl who doesn't know how to navigate the teenage environment because she only reflects what she knows and is learning, and in doing so, she makes mistakes and discovers her light and her shadows.

Her friends aren't entirely good either. Friends don't send others to bother your rivals. On the contrary, they keep you away from what's not good for you. It's up to you if you don't listen, but not here. Here, we show that Cady's friends use her to settle scores with the Plastics, which is very typical in our society to take advantage of the naive to do the things we can't do. However, that doesn't make us bad, but they're not being good friends either, apart from getting upset when she takes a different path. It's normal for that to happen. She's a new girl who doesn't know her own tastes outside the house and doesn't see everyone with bad eyes.

And now the Plastics. Although they made the biggest impression in the movie, even though they fit the stereotype of antagonists, they are not really the bad guys. They are three girls who are victims of poor upbringing without limits. Of course, they have done things that are wrong, but each one has had her own reasons for doing so. Without going into too much detail, the Plastics, although they have been the bad guys in the movie, are not the villains per se, but rather the breaking point to show that everyone has a bad side inside if they allow it. Regina George is the one who wins because she has an advantage in terms of money and intelligence, which is what makes her different, but not in terms of evil, but in terms of tools.

But even she has shown that she had her own authentic way of accepting Cady and giving her her perspective on things, and Cady did not dislike that world, unlike her other friends. It is only when a mutual liking for a boy gets in the way (which is teenage immaturity) that things get tense and rivalries begin.

It has even made it clear that the ineffectiveness of adults, both representatives and teachers, generates a host of conflicts reflected in teenagers, until they themselves change their strategies for approaching them. Teenagers only show what they know, with all their mistakes, and adults complain about something they haven't corrected, while they have their own problems. In short, the plot is enriched not by villains or good guys, but by social conflicts among young people, which certainly caught my attention, and I give this film a 10/10.

Espero se encuentren muy bien, yo bien gracias a Dios, poniéndome al día con varias cositas por aquí en Hive, una de ellas en las reseñas, ya los tenía un poco olvidados con ellas, hasta hoy jajaja pero nada mentira, no es que sea sin saber que hacer, sino que las reseñas son algo que yo le meto trabajo, y si estoy ocupado y no tengo tiempo para pensar bien que diré, prefiero postergar hasta que esté totalmente concentrado en ella.

De hecho, he tenido varias reseñas pendientes, pero, está película que vi, aunque viejisima, me encantó, y si, es de chicas, y a la vez me enteré que es de cultura popular, pero que les puedo decir gente, yo soy de la época del 99 que solo veía cosas como Star Wars, Transformers, Power Rangers etc… estos clásicos de adolescentes los vi posterior en Nickelodeon jajajaj

Pero gracias a mi novia, porque fue ella la que me hizo ver esta película, me dice que de aquí de esta filme, nace la cultura adolescente, de la chicas populares y la chica o los chicos marginados en la secundaria. Y la verdad lo comprendí, porque es la peli más pura que vi, en que todo la secuencia, tiene un desorden de vida de cada uno de los protagonistas donde no hay un bueno o malo. Pero me estoy adelantando.

Entonces, aunque tengo varias reseñas que mostrar y que opinar, vamos a retomar con esta, chicas pesadas. Recuerden que en todas mis reseñas doy un breve resumen y al final doy mis comentarios desde mi perspectiva de lo que me pareció la película.

En esta historia empezamos con Cagy Heron, una chica que ha sido sumamente criada aislada del mundo, sus padres, que son zoólogos, se la pasan viajando consecutivamente, lo que no le ha permitido a Cady interactuar con otros chicos y chicas de su misma edad en el transcurso de los años, incluyendo la secundaria. Todo lo que ella sabe lo ha aprendido en la casa, con sus padres.

Al llegar de África, por fin, deciden inscribirla en una escuela, pese a que no posee ninguna una amistad o contacto de confianza dentro de la institución, ella decide aventurarse en el ambiente de la secundaria, inocente y confiada de lo sus nuevos compañeros. Comparando la realidad que ella tiene con sus experiencias en África con sus padres.

Allí Cady conoce a un grupo de chicas conocidas como las plásticas, a la vez ella son las chicas populares de la institución, donde cada quien hace lo que ellas dicen. Por raro que parezca la líder de este grupo se interesa en Cady, y la invita a formar parte de su grupo, sin saber Cady que en el mundo escolar, lleno de desconocidos, solo puedes confiar en aquellos que realmente te brindan una ayuda auténtica y que no todos son amigos de verdad, pero eso deberá aprenderlo bajo su propio riesgo.

Bueno bueno bueno. Que les puedo decir, bueno realmente hay muchas cosas que puedo decir de esta película, y como siempre me organizo para no confundirlo en los comentarios es ordenarlos de lo que me parece lo primero, lo segundo y lo tercero jajaja. Lo primero, es la actuación, 10/10, es algo que le comenté a mi novia, yo soy alguien que se fija en la actuación, aunque no soy profesional del cine y mucho menos actor, si disfruto de la autenticidad de los personajes, y esta peli, cada personaje tenía lo suyo y representaba su papel como debía ser, eso incluye en lo que debía hacerse sentir. Hay películas que lamentablemente que son actuales que tratan de hacerlo con más efectos especiales que con la magia de los actores, en cambio está que en el 2004, cada personaje cumplió con su rol y me movió el mar de emociones que debía, sino pregúntenle a mi novia los chistes que me lancé con cada anécdota de los personajes jajaja.

Eso es mi otro punto, la trama me atrapó completamente, no les mentire, al principio dije, okey comenzamos con una adolescente que no sabe dónde está parada, se va a conseguir con estudiantes que la van aceptar y otras que van a fingir que la aceptan, típico, eso porque yo estoy acostumbrado a esa trama copiada de adolescentes ya sea en series o películas o libros, pero aquí no, aquí hubo autenticidad de lo que realmente ocurre en muchas vidas, claro, dependiendo de la cultura esto varía, pero en resumidas cuentas, Cady debe de hayas su propia postura de hacer lo que debe de hacer, que no por ser la protagonista, es la buena de la historia, tampoco la hace la mala, solo es una chica que no sabe cómo moverse en el entorno juvenil, porque solo refleja lo que sabe y está aprendiendo, y en eso comete errores y va descubriendo su luz y sus sombras.

Sus amigos, tampoco son buenos del todo, los amigos no mandan a otros como carnal a molestar a tus rivales, todo lo contrario, te alejan de lo que no te conviene, allá tú si no haces caso, aquí no, aquí reflejamos que los amigos de Cady la utilizan para saldar cuentas con las plásticas, muy típico en nuestra sociedad de aprovecharnos del ingenuo para que cumpla con las cosas que no podemos hacer, sin embargo eso no nos hace malos pero tampoco están siendo buenos amigos, aparte molestarse cuando ella tome caminos diferentes, es normal que suceda, es una chica nueva que no conoce sus propios gustos, fuera de la casa, y no ve a todos con ojos malos.

Y ahora las plásticas, si bien aquí fue lo que más generó impresión de la película, es que ellas aunque cubran el estereotipo de antagonistas, no son las malas realmente, son 3 chicas víctimas de una mala crianza sin límites. Claro han hecho cosas que están mal, pero cada una ha tenido sus motivos propios para hacerlo, sin dar tantos detalles, las plásticas aunque han sido las malas de la película, no son las villanas en sí, sino el punto de fractura para mostrar que todos tienen un malo por dentro si se lo permitiese, que Regina George sea la que gane por tener ventaja en cuestión de dinero e inteligencia, es la que la hace diferente, pero no en cuestión de maldad, sino en herramientas.

Pero incluso ella, ha demostrado al igual que tuvo una manera auténtica a su manera de aceptar a Cady y darle su perspectiva de ver las cosas, y Cady no le desagrado ese mundo, a diferencia de sus otros amigos, solo cuando se interpone un gusto en común por un chico (cosa que es inmadurez adolescentes) es donde las cosas se ponen tensas y empiezan las rivalidades.

Incluso ha dejado claro que la ineficacia de los adultos, tanto representantes y profesores, genera un cúmulo de conflictos reflejados en los adolescentes, hasta que ellos mismo no cambian las estrategias de acercarse a ellos, los adolescentes solo muestran lo que saben, con todo y errores, y los adultos se quejan, de algo que ellos no han corregido, mientras que ellos tienen sus propios problemas. En fin, la trama está enriquecida no de villanos ni de Buenos, sino de conflictos sociales juveniles que sin duda captó muchísimo mi atención y le doy un 10/10 a esta película.
