CONTEST: Who is your favorite actor and actress? Johnny Depp and Emma Stone [ESP/ENG]

I feel that films have at least 4 basic pillars to work properly: The script, the photography, the soundtrack and of course the acting. That's why I feel that, although everyone in the production is extremely important, the actor's work is one of the ones that stands out the most because in the end they are the ones who defend the piece before the spectator and the same happens in the theater.

That's why I was so excited about this contest brought to me by the Movies & TV Shows community (@moviesonhive). As an acting student I'm always analyzing actors, their styles, techniques and methods so I can create my own toolkit as an actress and the actors I'm bringing today are the ones I admire the most, the ones I say, "This is who I want to be as an actress, these are the tools I'd like to use, these are the types of characters I'd like to play."

So, without further ado, I'll proceed to talk about my favorite actor and my favorite actress.

Emma uses a lot the look as a tool to express feelings, she also has a very natural tone of voice that doesn't usually vary between characters and she always leaves pieces of her in her characters.

I want to talk about at least 2 of Emma's characters that I really like and where I think she has shown her full potential as an actress and also her essence as an artist.

One thing I really liked was the laugh detail, a somewhat psychotic laugh, but very organic. I really like how she imprints her own essence to the character and gives her a new life, humanizes her and makes you empathize with her. This is the purpose that this kind of movies usually pursue: Character Studies.

My favorite scene is this monologue where she talks to her deceased mother. I leave it in English to appreciate the full acting work.

Something told me that there was a lot of Emma in Mia's story or that she herself felt very identified with Mia because she could feel so much of her own essence, more so than in other characters. Something that really stood out to me is the scene where Mia goes to an audition and she acts so terrible that just by saying the first line they stop her audition and tell her to leave. I think it might have been hard for Emma to do a supremely bad performance for this scene and make it look realistic, and even as paradoxical as that may sound, I think it makes her an even better actress hahahahahaha.

My favorite scene is the final audition musical number, because aside from loving her musical work I loved all of her facial expressions.

Mainly his gift is in body movement which makes me think he would also be perfect for theater, he is also very expressive facially and changes his voice radically for each character which blows my mind because it seems crazy to me that the same actor who plays Jack Sparrow is the one who plays Willy Wonka. It's like they are two different people.

I'll talk about these two Johnny Depp characters because I love them both equally.

Also another interesting detail is that some of Jack Sparrow's lines were written and/or improvised by Johnny himself. I can't imagine anyone else doing this character.

This movie is a remake of another movie that although I haven't seen, I have been able to watch videos of Willy Wonka. I feel like that one and the new one are very different but my favorite is always going to be the Johnny Depp one.
