I have long heard that technology is good or bad depending on the execution of the person who is going to use it but I think that idea or definition that I have heard for a long time is too basic and short because in reality technology is designed to replace us in the process, then in reality the question of real weight is how we humans remain in the links that bind a process, we are still necessary or disposable.
Atlas is a film from Netflix that explores the idea of cooperation between Artificial Intelligences and humans, it tries to answer the question if we could coexist with them by making use of a light plot, comic relief moments, battles can't be missing because as you can see in the trailer there are robots with a quite defined design for that purpose, if you are attracted by the futuristic tone, fights and a story related to Artificial Intelligences, this film will definitely fulfill to entertain although it won't develop all the conceptual power of the AI premise.
Desde hace mucho he escuchado que la tecnología es buena o mala dependiendo de la ejecución que le de la persona el cual la vaya a usar pero pienso esa idea o definición que he escuchado desde hace mucho es demasiado básica y corta porque en realidad la tecnología esta diseñada para sustituirnos en el proceso, entonces en realidad la pregunta de verdadero peso es como quedamos los seres humanos en los eslabones que unen un proceso, seguimos siendo necesarios o descartables.
Atlas es un film de Netflix que explora la idea de cooperación entre Inteligencias Artificiales y seres humanos, trata de responder a la pregunta de si pudiéramos coexistir con ellos haciendo uso de una trama ligera, momentos de alivio cómicos, no pueden faltar las batallas porque como pueden ver en el trailer hay robots con un diseño bastante definido con ese propósito, si te es llamativo el tono futurista, peleas y una historia relacionada con Inteligencias Artificiales, este film definitivamente cumplirá con entretener aunque no desarrollara todo el poder conceptual de la premisa IA.
- Jennifer Lopez The Duality of Film:
She plays the role of Atlas with a certain charisma that I consider pleasant to watch and listen to, she is a beautiful woman that I think fulfills the basic narrative of the film that seeks to stay in the entertaining but it is undeniable that she eats too many minutes that just for the comic relief aspect do not allow to explore in depth the theme that is presented in the trailer which is the Artificial Intelligences.
The whole film revolves excessively around her and does not take breaks from this character, the story has many flaws because it sacrifices many things for her to shine, so I do not end up seeing this story as a film of Artificial Intelligences but I end up seeing it as a film dedicated to Jennifer Lopez and that is a weakness because the theme has much to explore that I do not see is developed in the analogies that runs.
- Jennifer López La Dualidad del Film:
Desempeña el rol de Atlas con cierto carisma que lo considero agradable de ver y escuchar, es una mujer preciosa que pienso cumple con la narrativa básica del film que busca quedarse en lo entretenido pero es indudable que se come demasiados minutos que justo por el aspecto alivio cómico no permiten explorar a profundidad la temática que se presenta en el trailer la cual es las Inteligencias Artificiales.
Todo el film gira excesivamente en torno a ella y no toma respiros de este personaje, la historia tiene muchas fallas porque sacrifica muchas cosas para que ella brille, entonces no termine viendo esta historia como un film de Inteligencias Artificiales si no que la termino viendo como una película dedicada a Jennifer López y eso es una debilidad porque el tema tiene mucho para explorar que no veo se desarrolle en las analogías que ejecuta.
- Artificial Intelligences may be the next step in Human Evolution:
This is what I consider the best part of the film, when certain philosophical ideas that I have seen from other movies and at the University, I am an Electrical Engineer and I got to see a subject called Robotics, the professor talked to us about the famous laws that revolve around this because they are designed precisely to protect us against dangerous programming escapes as he was talking about the film “I Robot” with Will Smith.
I regretfully feel that this remains just a line of dialogue that is powerful but the Director and Writers don't end up developing it because I don't see them doing it, the film can develop the philosophical conflicts that an Artificial Intelligence contracts while keeping entertaining, reader you think that an AI can be evil as well as other human beings that when analyzed are evil in their essence as for example serial killers that have been shown to commit atrocious acts for pleasure and with full mental stability.
These types of questions and many more are the ones that make us reflect because if an AI reaches that point, then it is already human or maybe more.
- Las Inteligencias Artificiales pueden ser el siguiente paso en La Evolución Humana:
Esto es lo que considero mejor del film, cuando se plantean ciertas ideas filosóficas que he visto de otras películas y en la Universidad, soy Ingeniero Electricista y llegue a ver una materia llamada Robótica, el profesor nos hablo de las famosas leyes que giran en torno a esto porque están diseñadas precisamente para protegernos ante escapes peligrosos de programación ya que nos hablaba del film "Yo Robot" con Will Smith.
Esto siento con todo pesar que se queda solo en una línea de diálogo que es potente pero el Director y Escritores no terminan por desarrollarlo porque no veo que lo hagan, el film puede desarrollar los conflictos filosóficos que contrae una Inteligencia Artificial manteniéndose entretenida, lector tu piensas que una IA puede ser mala así como lo son otros seres humanos que cuando se les analiza son malignos en su esencia como por ejemplo asesinos seriales que han demostrado cometieron actos atroces por solo placer y con plena estabilidad mental.
Este tipo de preguntas y muchas mas son las que nos hacen reflexionar porque si una IA llega a ese punto, entonces ya es humana o quizás mas.
- The Battles are Powerful:
This was what I loved most about the film, at least what I saw my feeling was of liking, there is a good conflict that ends in robotic fists and it is presented visually well with good special effects although they could have taken advantage of many more characters instead of wasting them.
- The Villain played by Simu Liu:
Hardly fulfills the narrative with him, I think the actor is potent in martial arts, he looks strange with all that makeup, hairstyle and eyes but I mean strange to bad which in the end is fine because he is an Artificial Intelligence we can see in the Trailer and he can look like that but his purpose and conviction are weak because Jennifer takes away all the minutes where more of him could be presented with the viewer understanding his acting and fearing him, he generates very little of the latter except when he pulls out his fists.
- The Feelings of the film:
I see them, I hear them but they do not reach my soul, I see an attempt to develop them that remains positively comic but not one like the one that happens in Terminator Two, that if it is a film that manages to perfectly develop the feelings of an Artificial Intelligence that manage to break the screen and reach an audience to shatter their hearts, as I would like to have felt half of that feeling but Atlas remains only and barely as an entertaining science fiction film.
- Las Batallas son Potentes:
Esto fue lo que mas me encanto del film, al menos lo que vi mi sensación fue de agrado, hay un conflicto bueno que termina en puños robóticos y se presenta visualmente bien con buenos efectos especiales aunque se pudieron aprovechar muchos mas personajes en vez de desperdiciarlos.
- El Villano interpretado por Simu Liu:
A duras penas cumple la narrativa con él, pienso el actor es potente en artes marciales, luce extraño con todo ese maquillaje, peinado y ojos pero me refiero extraño a mal lo cual a la final esta bien porque es una Inteligencia Artificial que podemos ver en el Trailer y puede lucir así pero su propósito y convicción son débiles porque Jennifer le quita todos los minutos donde se pudiera presentar mas de él con el espectador comprendiendo su actuar y temiéndole, genera muy poco de esto último excepto cuando saca los puños.
- Los Sentimientos del film:
Los veo, los escucho pero no me llegan al alma, veo un intento por desarrollarlos que queda positivamente cómico pero no uno como el que sucede en Terminator Dos, ese si es un film que logra desarrollar perfectamente los sentimientos de una Inteligencia Artificial que logran romper la pantalla y llegar a una audiencia para destrozarles el corazón, como quisiera haber sentido la mitad de esa sensación pero Atlas se queda solamente y a duras penas como un film de ciencia ficción entretenido.
