To close this weekend, I saw a fairly new movie, available on the Netflix platform, released on September 29 of this year 2023, it has a duration of 109 minutes. It is a Spanish movie, of dramatic genre, it focuses on survival in Spain, in a dystopian world and survival in the middle of the ocean.
Review:
The story is mainly based on Mía a pregnant woman, who together with her partner Nico decide to leave Spain in a sea container, this because their country is in a situation where pregnant women and children are killed by whoever governs, since there are not enough resources and according to these, this population is the one that consumes the most.
In this attempt to escape from the country, they end up in different containers, so the fate of each one changes. Mia ends up in the middle of the ocean trying to survive inside the sea container.

In this situation her baby is born, so her struggle to survive is a double challenge.
Opinion:
This time I didn't post character descriptions because most of the story is based on Mía, and I wanted to break down in my opinion what her character is like.
•Mia (Anna Castillo): she is a woman with a great guilt that carries the whole movie, her character is focused on surviving to save her baby. Although it is instinctive to want to survive in situations like these, I felt the character lacked something more to give.
•Scenes I would have wanted to see:
1) About what Mia and Nico's life as a couple was like before the situation their country was going through, i.e. seeing Mia's memories in a scene, to add variety to what I was observing.
2)I would also have liked to see what was going on with Nico, likewise, to see a scene about this, not just hear about it.
3)And of course to see what happened that Spain ended up in this situation and if there are other places with this situation.
In this sense I felt the movie was a bit flat and I would have liked more explanation about the context they were living in Spain.
•Scenes about the sea container in the ocean: I liked the realism with which these scenes were seen, I could feel that everything was true, that really Mía was in that situation.

•Fantasy: There is a scene that breaks with the thread of the story, it is something fantasy, I didn't dislike it because I thought it was a tender scene, but I feel that it doesn't add realism to the story.
•Claustrophobia: I didn't really experience this sensation to a great extent, perhaps because the protagonist in many scenes was able to solve her situation at the time. What I did feel was thalassophobia, which is the fear of the immensity and depth of the ocean, because I saw the container in the middle of nowhere and with her inside.
•Association with reality: something that the film left me with was to be able to associate it with people who live similar situations, who seek to flee their countries wanting a better future, running great dangers on the way, hoping to reach a new land and forge a new life.
Personally I liked it a 6/10, I feel it left me with many gaps in the context. If you want to give it a chance and create your own opinion about it, I invite you to watch it.

Para cerrar este fin de semana, ví una película bastante nueva, disponible en la plataforma de Netflix, estrenada el 29 de septiembre de este año 2023, tiene una duración de 109 minutos. Es una película española, de género dramático, se enfoca en la supervivencia en España, en un mundo distopico y supervivencia a mitad del océano.
Reseña:
La historia se basa principalmente en Mía una mujer embarazada, quien junto a su pareja Nico deciden abandonar España en un contenedor marítimo, esto debido a que su país se encuentra en una situación donde las mujeres embarazadas y niños son asesinados por parte de quién gobierna, puesto que no hay suficientes recursos y de acuerdo a estos, esta población es la que más consume.
En ese intento de escape del país, terminan en contenedores diferentes, por lo que la suerte de cada uno cambia. Mía termina en medio del océano buscando sobrevivir dentro del contenedor marítimo.

En esta situación su bebé nace, así que su lucha por sobrevivir es un reto doble.
Opinión:
En esta oportunidad no coloqué descripción de los personajes porque la mayoría de la historia se basa en Mía, y quise desglosar en mi opinión cómo es su personaje.
•Mía (Anna Castillo): es una mujer con una gran culpa que acarrea toda la película, su personaje está enfocado en sobrevivir para salvar a su bebé. Aunque es instintivo querer sobrevivir en situaciones como estas, sentí que el personaje le faltaba algo más que dar.
•Escenas que fuese querido ver:
1) Sobre cómo fue la vida de pareja de Mía y Nico antes de la situación que vivía su país, es decir, ver los recuerdos de Mía en una escena, para agregarle variedad a lo que estaba observando.
2)También me fuese gustado ver qué ocurría con Nico, igualmente, ver una escena sobre esto, no solo oírlo.
3)Y por supuesto ver qué ocurrió que España terminó en esta situación y si hay otros lugares con esa situación.
En este sentido sentí la película algo plana y me fuese gustado mayor explicación sobre el contexto que estaban viviendo en España.
•Escenas sobre el contenedor marítimo en el océano: Me gustó el realismo con que se veían estas escenas, podía sentir que todo era verdad, que realmente Mía si estaba en esa situación.

•Fantasía: Hay una escena que rompe con el hilo que venía la historia, es algo fantasioso, no me desagradó porque me pareció una escena tierna, pero siento que no aporta realismo a la historia.
•Sensación de claustrofobia: Realmente no experimente en gran medida esta sensación, quizá porque la protagonista en muchas escenas se mostró hábil para resolver su situación del momento. Lo que si sentí fue talasofobia que es el miedo a la inmensidad y profundidad del oceano, esto porque veía el contenedor en medio de la nada y con ella dentro.
•Asociación con la realidad: algo que me dejó la película fue poder asociarla con personas que viven situaciones parecidas, que buscan huir de sus países queriendo un futuro mejor, corriendo grandes peligros en el trayecto, con la esperanza de llegar a una nueva tierra y forjar una nueva vida.
En lo personal me gustó un 6/10, siento que me dejó muchos vacíos de contexto. Si quieres darle una oportunidad y crear tu propio opinión al respecto sobre, te invito a verla.
