This fkn TV series and their drastic changes, its that love & hate relationship but it still give us good episodes like episode 8. Honestly this is not an 8.8/10 series as they show on IMDB or RTT, reviews section is full of auto generated 10/10 to keep the ratings high reason why I always tell people not to care about ratings online and give the Movie or Series a try. Daredevil Born Again is a good series that will keep you entertained but in the middle will frustrate you at times.
Episode 8 was a great episode in terms of drama, all the context and chain of events that develop after Matt visits Bullseye, its like they had a private talk and totally plan the end result. You know an episode is good when it makes you say WTF at least once, that's what Bullseye and Matt did from start to finish, what look at first like a simple prison break was way more complex than that.

After some ups and downs throughout the season one could only hope that from now on is a more say steady war against Kingpin but I have also been thinking that this style of burning through Villains is similar to the 90s animated series style in the case of Spiderman usually put bad guys behind bars in a one or two episodes. Things picks up after Matt Murdock put on the mask again in Episode 5 and the beast has been unleash since then, specially with the Muse ended rather too fast in Episode 7. Episode 8 brings up more the idea of New York City been run by Fisk as he use to do business while he was Kingpin, putting his foot down and telling everyone what to do as he did on Episode 8 with Swordsman and other wealthy people who initially didn't got his back.

Matt with or without the mask have always been feeling his work as Lawyer is making no difference on the system or streets, now both been run by Fisk and Matt is getting to the point where he wants to confront him, bringing Daredevil to irl. With both Fisk and Matt embracing their alter egos, we starting to see significant changes on their characters during their regular life, its the case that now Matt is becoming reckless just as Daredevil. This has also happen on their personal level, love relationships have flip with now Matt been in hot waters with Heather after she end up killing Muse and feels guilty about it plus having problems with dealing with Matt been gone all of the sudden like he is hiding something, all this taking in consideration that Matt suspects Fisk is Heather's client too, this obviously make him furious.
While Matt is having all kind of troubles with Heather, Fisk and Vanessa are finally having the time of their life, remember Adam the guy that Vanessa cheated with, well this affair drama finally came up to and end with Fisk revealing her where he kept Adam all this time as a prisoner and telling her he basically cant exist with knowing she cheated, so Fisk puts a gun on the table almost forcing Vanessa to take action, finally she does pull the trigger killing Adam and putting an end to their relationship problems. A couple of episodes back it was backwards where Matt was having a good time as a Lawyer and with Heather but White Tiger got murder things took a turn.

What really makes the episode exciting is the return of Bullseye, the very first Villain of the series who was put behind bars on the first episode after killing Foggy. Not only they bring him back but now the truth about why he was hired to kill Foggy came out to light when Matt discover the night Foggy was killed he was drinking an expensive scotch at Jossie's bar, this tells Matt he was actually celebrating in advance, most likely because he was going to win a case that would shine the light on Fisk criminal empire and Vanessa couldn't let this happen. Talking about Vanessa she was the one who had Bullseye move from solitary to the rest of the jail population where he would have a hard time. Bullseye ask to talk to Matt about Foggy but they didn't talk much, it was a short conversation that had the most stupid scene with Matt banging Bullseye to the table and then call the guard saying he smash his own head?!! wtf, the guard takes Bullseye without asking any questions.
The ending of the episode puts so much weight on Matt's meeting with Bullseye because if it wasn't for that encounter he would not have visit Jossie's bar to probably go through the scene once again, he would not have figure out about Foggy celebrating early his case, his visit to prison is the reason why Bullseye escape after spitting one of his tooth that falls when Matt smash his head to the prison table, its just fkn crazy almost like if they have plan it, all this to the point Bullseye tries to "kill" Fisk by shooting him and Matt safe his life, but did he really do it as leverage against Fisk??
Episode 8 answers so many questions and create a few more, we know Matt is not dying from that shot but now Fisk owe him for real, he safe his life in front of everyone so there is no doubt or way he could twist his words or actions. I really enjoy episode 8 but as any other series based on comics or any other type of material with a lore I'm sure things are not happening strict as in the comics but so far it has been a every entertaining series that keeps opening doors to its next episode after each other, over all I would give it a 7.5/10 so far to the entire season, mainly because of how they have waisted some characters and situations that could have been bigger for the series.
