Its been two episodes since that massive dragon fight that left both sides with huge casualties, although the greens were able to hide part of the impact from their losses, the consequences of the battle at Rook’s Rest and how it impacted both the factions involved in the war, this last battle even after its over keeps opening doors for the evolution of this civil war within the Targaryen family. New characters are brought in and old characters are seen again as the plot of the story goes on with Dragons are now more involved than ever and the risks are greater than ever before. Episode 6 does have a bit of everything from action, drama, and character development which are the main aspects that I as well as other viewers of this series enjoy, I thought it was going to be a more flat episode but its not, this is the type of episode that keeps you wondering and connecting the dots.

The Aftermath of Rook's Rest
Lannister Army Annoy Aemond
The episode kicks off with Jason Lannister's army reaching the Golden Tooth, a key trading hub between the west and east. The Lannister theme music from the original series plays turning into an ongoing theme as how production has brought and keep the same music from the original Game of Thrones original series, I think its a very touching aspect of the series. Jason mentions the Red Fork, which runs through the Riverlands, setting up the Lannisters' goal of retaking Harrenhal. There's a bit of humor when Jason says he won't march on Harrenhal until Aemond shows up on Vhagar, kind of like he's ordering Aemond to do so or been the over the top wealthy family who grands him power to do as he will even going against the king, not that Aemond is but after all does he really want to mess with the man in charge of Kings Landing plus on top he rides Vhagar? I think all that gold made Jason a bit stupid. This situation with the Lanisters Army made Aemond very annoyed probably not because he does not want to leave Kings Landing undefended, to be honest I doubt he gives two fucks because if that was the case why he left for Rooks Rest?, Vhagar is currently the biggest thing stopping Rhaenyra and Daemon from attacking the city directly from a technical perspective although its clear that is not their strategy at the moment. Aemond's also mad that the Lannisters are trying to tell him what to do, since he sees himself as the king now even thought he is "King Regent" he is only filling the sit while Aegon recovers but over all seems Aemond will make sure that never happens or at least until he destroy the Blacks and show the world he is more than capable, for Aemond is not about the throne, gold or even fame, its the fact that he is the one who beat Rhaenyra, he could care less about any of the other reasons.
The Small Council Meeting
If I'm not mistaken this is first Aemond official Council Meeting, he wants to team up with the Triarchy in the Free Cities to get their fleet, he hopes this will help end Corlys Velaryon's blockade of King's Landing which has been causing food shortages and riots. Alicent tries to warn Aemond that her father, Viserys, didn't trust the Triarchy but Aemond ignores her advice. It's clear that Aemond doesn't care what Alicent thinks and won't listen to her at all but the worst part is that this alliance with Triarchy will most likely backfire since they seem more savage and corrupt than the Greyjoys. During this meeting aside from the war there are two things Aemond does that are important for the plot, one I consider selfish but not a surprise and the other one of his best ideas ever, to start he kick his mother out of the Council and I think this is not to show off his power but because he knows how manipulative she can be and to be honest here role is very repetitive but only when Otto Hightower is at the Council, big brain idea that Daemon has is to bring back his grandfather to the council and name him his hand. It is very satisfying how Criston Cole goes back to be just a soldier soon and I think his death is imminent now that he has no business with Aemond.Dragon Seeds and New Alliances
Rhaenyra's Plan
Rhaenyra is working on a plan to get more dragon riders. She reveals that Steffon Darklyn, a member of her Kingsguard who is suppose to have enough Valyrian blood to possibly claim a dragon. This completes the setup idea of "dragon seeds", people with Targaryen ancestry who might be able to ride dragons. It's a big deal because it could give Rhaenyra's side more firepower in the war but at the same time is a very risky move since most of those who fail in the attempt to bond with a dragon end up been killed by the same dragon. On a previous episode Rhaenyra and Rhaenys even mention how Rhaena almost died when she attempt to bond with an adult dragon, I would only assume it was Seasmoke, consider she is a legitimate daughter with Targaryen mother and father, pure Valerian blood as it comes during the time and she was not able to bond with the dragon so its not anyone who can step up and achive this. As expected things go south and Seasmoke burn Steffon Darklyn giving the most expected outcome to the audience, I was actually waiting for the moment Seasmoke was going to snatch an easy snack. This is not the end of the dragon seeds, eventually Seasmoke did choose a rider, Rhaena is probably going to claim Sheep Stealer because of a quick scene during the episode where she appear next to a bunch of burn down sheep in the open field during a walk, there is going to be a lot of dragons in the air before the series ends and most likely a lot of them will die.
The Riverlands Situation
Daemon's Visions
Meanwhile at Harrenhal, Daemon is having some weird visions, he again goes back to the Iron Throne and again sees himself entering the room but Viserys is there, reliving a scene from the first episode of the first season, and its like Aemond is reviving the scene in present time but still accepting that his brother is still alive, during this moment he says "I cant believe he still mad about this" like they were living moment after they came to peace, these visions seem to be messing with Daemon's head making him question his actions and motivations, I think it is the reason for this visions to make him a better person, so maybe when Daemon finally manage to grasp the Riverlands he probably will be a more thoughtful person? care more about Rhaenyra? I think that's much to ask from him but possible. We also get some info about what's happening in the Riverlands, with the Tullys becoming more important than ever as the head of the Riverslands is young Oscar Tully set to become the next lord after his grandfather dies. My theory about Daemon becoming a better person starts when he asks Alys Rivers for help, he does not use the word help directly but consul and she makes fun of him, still helps him when she says "the winds will change in three days", shortly Oscar's grandfather dies and Daemon now has someone to talk to and gets young Oscar Tully making it look like an easy fix.
Tensions in King's Landing
The common people in King's Landing are getting more and more unhappy, mostly because there's not enough food and they're starting to blame the Greens for their problems, ever since they show up with Meleys head since Dragons are consider Gods they saw it as a bad omen. This is a front that thanks to Mysaria, Rhaenyra has been able to exploit, not only spreading the word to blame the Greens for the war but this time they send a lot of small boats with supplies, food but most important they were carrying Rhaenyras banner, how quickly the mood change and now the Small Folks are praising for Rhaenyra even to the extend of calling her the True Queen, it goes from Baby Murder to Queen.
There is a riot scene that the series was delaying for quite some time, I really thought it was going to be earlier but I'm satisfied that episodes have been very balance although on a few of the preview trailers they kept showing Alicent and Helaena running from the crowd and they were barely out of there in time.
