The sixth episode of The Acolyte is now out and this episode is filled with plot twists, more action and an exploration of the dark side of the force, this episode also has the title “Teach/Corrupt” and it focuses on the further development of the relations and the motives of the characters since the beginning of the series including now Vernestra Rwoh since she could be the one to fault for all this mess. We witness the characters dealing with their past and allegiance while fighting the constant menace of the dark side, good example is how it seems Osha might join Qimir and probably Mae, twins back together on the dark side?. This episode is full of twists and turns that will leave the a large part of the audience, at least the small audience that still watch the show; in disbelieve that there is no way they ended the episode on such cliff hanger, this is one of the best episodes so far along with episode four and the big light saber fight between Qimir and the Jedi.

The Seduction of Ohsa
The center of this episode can be seen as the seduction of Ohsa by Qimir, who has been a rather ambiguous character in the series, becomes the main focus as he tries to seduce Ohsa to the dark side, his strategy turn out to be more psychological and emotional rather than by force, appealing to Ohsa’s emotions of being left and betrayed by the Jedi Order. He try to use his own life experiences and remorse to make Ohsa feel that they are on the same side and she starts to doubt her own principles, that is how you kill the dream.Qimir is very smart and powerful so he has nothing to loose and could just snap Osha neck at any time he wants; he uses indirect approaches that are quite efficient, he does not tell Ohsa a direct lie, but rather leaves out some facts which give a rather negative picture of the Jedi, very sleek of him. He reveal to her that the Jedi have been holding her back and she is capable of much more than what the Jedi have been allowing her to do, makes me wonder if he knows where they came from, I mean the twins. This is in agreement with Ohsa who has always felt like an outcast in the Order and one of the reasons she "left". It actually look too easy but to be hones Osha is not that smart, this seduction turns out successful when Ohsa wears the Cortosis helmet, , this scene is quite intense and a bit creepy, she can't almost see shit with the helmet but probably its the hole idea, she alone with the Force.

The Mystery of Qimir
In this episode Qimir’s character is developed farther and we learn more about his personality, motives and his relation with the Jedi Order, this is where we establish that he was once a Jedi but for some reason he is no longer one, so he is not your typical villain rather than a reject, he was also has this huge scar on his back as a reminder of this moment. He has the physical and psychological wounds that are evidence of the struggle and the suffering he has gone through. The episode suggests that there is some more to Qimir’s relationship with other characters especially Sol, as it is clear that they have a certain conflict and some sort of relation, but it is not completely clear what it is, seem like Qimir remembers Sol but not the other way around, there is some sort of uncompleted story between them creating a thicker layer of suspense making me wonder what else is there to know about them besides Sol keep telling Osha / Mae that he will tell her the truth for the past three episodes now and we yet don't know wtf he is talking about.
The Struggle of Sol
I'm really getting a bit tired of Sol holding back but he is going through some sort transformation that I also find interesting , loosing his temper, very not Jedi of him. He is mostly describe as a Jedi who is in the process of fighting with his feelings and his principles, something Jedi don't get attach to. The conversations he has with Ohsa and Qimir during the battle on episode four show a man who is in the middle of a conflict between the Jedi Order and his own feelings and its this internal conflict what we have seen in his actions and decisions, the doubt and anger is starting to come out. On this episode Sol doubts the choice of the Jedi Council, specially when he left Khoflar before Vernesta arrive. It is most clearly seen when he talks to Ohsa and reveals that he has been hiding things and feeling angry for many years.

The Theme of Betrayal
This episode is filled with betrayal, as the main theme of this episode paints the picture in the lives of different characters in different ways, for example Mae is resentful of the Jedi Order which she perceives as having left her for dead, while Osha did join them but then was not allowing her to grow which makes me think if they discover their origins and then said no we cant teach the Force to her is just too risky. While Qimir finally reveal how he lost trust in his former master and the order is broken, which makes him turn to the dark side. Sol suffers his own feelings of treachery, both from the Order and from his own heart, and on top of all this bag of betrayal is Vernestra who is definitely hiding something from the senate and the council as she didn't want make to know Sol was at Khoflar but now she has no other option to tell, that is why Master Mog didn't know Sol was there, so Vernestra either did or knows about something very mess up and its trying to cover up.The Cliffhanger Ending
I could actually make a list of all the cliff hanger but I think it has all been mention on the above paragraphs, I think the episode has been good at keeping the suspense and trying to down shift after all the hype of episode four, the only really cool thing that happen was Vernestra showing her light saber and I hope we see her fight latter down the line, if there is a second season. The remaining conflicts between Qimir, Sol, and the Jedi Order is a good indicative that there is so much more explanation to do around the multiple conflicts.
