Episode 7 brought some change to the series and for an episode I felt things had change when it comes to all them been separated again and not knowing to control their powers or Lanfear real plans, this time we got a full episode where the main character is Perrin, who would have though, well if you have read the books you already know but I didn't, I really though he would be the for ever secondary character, a tool for the series.
Titled "Goldeneyes," takes a different approach from the show's usual format of jumping between multiple story lines and locations, instead focusing entirely on Perrin and the battle for the Two Rivers. This episode marks a significant moment for Perrin's character development, putting him on the spot light in a way they haven't done in the past. Even though the episode is full of dark scenes, fix for that is 4k most of the time as in 1080p is sht; and emotional charged battle sequence but what about Perrin powers? will he show any ever again? still cool episode.

The episode begins with the Two Rivers town getting fortified expecting an attack from a troop of Trollock, that on this episode seem more agile and ugly than before tbh. The commander it town was Perrin and he was not ready for it, all uncomfortable, people even called him "Lord Goldeneyes" something he didn't enjoy at all. While the town is getting prepared for battle, some learning how to defend themselves for the first time, Tuatha'an arrive, the traveling people Perrin met on season 1, they are pacifist and in fact based on the data dump on this series Aiel the oath breakers use to practice the way of the leaf just as the Tuatha'an, since they wouldn't fight they will help take care of the elder and kids if things get ugly to run away through under ground tunnels.

The chemistry between Perrin and Faile is another important aspect of the episode, Isabella Bucceri playing Faile is such a bad ass when during the battle she is just picking the pieces of what ever Perrin leaves behind, a real slasher even with two middle size knives, bringing a fierce energy to her role that complements Perrin increasing aggression. Their relationship feels authentic and kept growing after each episode, with Faile seeing strength in Perrin that he doesn't recognize in himself, their scenes together brings the best of each other specially during the heat of the battle.
If you had the chance to watch the episode in 4k your perspective of the battle would change a ton as you could follow better the action sequences, Perrin goes full bad ass when he picks up his old hammer he left back at home after he accidentally killed his wife when Trollocs attack the Two Rivers on season 1, dual wielding axe and hammer almost like he finaly moves on and opens the door for a relationship with Faile, I was constantly worry she might die during battle, I was like common she cant fkn die since she is so small and been behind Perrin he wouldnt be able to notice if she got in trouble but she never did.
Alanna and Loial were key players to win this battle, at first Alanna use the One Power as Matt sisters channel with her and another women from the Two Rivers who could also channel, they drop what look like a ice storm that look like knives and killed a ton of Trollocs at first although they were too many, that moment is what spark the people from the Two Rivers to think they had a chance, plus when Maksim gave them a pep talk, basically do or die. Padam who was leading the attack was not over and send for reinforces through a Waygate, its here when Loial decides to go and destroy it with the two Aiel Spear Maidens as bodyguards but sadly he could destroy it from inside, anyways if he destroy it from the inside would be trapped with the rest of the Trollocs, when he couldn destroy the Waygate decided to destroy the some what bridge to get there and falls into the void, but where does that void take him? I wonder if Rand or someone get hims back in the future?

I would like to mention that Alanna and Maksim relationship troubles is finally over, the death of their lover Ihvon affect them a ton and for a few episodes they were both hurt bad but little by little find a way to put it in the past for some time.
Overall "Goldeneyes" is one of the best episodes of the series, who would have though all it took was real and constant battle to make a cool episode, they didn't even use the One Power that much, almost making Rand and Egwen childish relationship irrelevant during the entire episode. If the series focus more on a specific story line per episode would be more interesting. The combination of spectacular battle sequence, emotional characters with their own personal problems on top with context help the episode to make sense, I was constantly looking for when they were going to shift gears into some of the other characters and when just kept going it felt good to be honest.
