It is a prequel to The hole, a horror and science fiction film released in 2024 that I saw recently because I just found out about its existence, since I saw the first one I was fascinated with the dystopian vision and the apocalyptic world it presented, based on a prison or prison vertically organized by levels, where each level was inhabited by two prisoners and in the center of its reduced space moved a platform full of food, with different dishes that had been selected by the prisoners themselves as their favorites before entering the hole, having a few minutes to taste only their dish, every day they had the right to eat only their dish, if for some reason they did not eat it, they kept it or change it for another one they started the war.
This system comes from the first movie of the hole, here there are no variations, only that this second experience at the beginning looks more organized, as if the population had evolved and understood that the laws must be complied with for the benefit of all, the problem in hole 2 begins when a man does not receive his slice of pizza and feels offended logically because the people above him did not respect the agreement and ate his only daily food. On the second day, this man decides to eat what belongs to others to the point of not caring who he harms, starting a rebellion, revolt and war, giving birth to anarchy.

El hoyo 2 - Sociedad distópica sin salida Es una precuela del hoyo, una película de terror y ciencia ficción estrenada el 2024 que vi recientemente porque me acabo de enterar de su existencia, desde que vi la primera quedé fascinada con la visión distópica y el mundo apocalíptico que presentaba, basada en una cárcel o prisión de forma vertical organizada por niveles, donde cada nivel habitaban dos prisioneros y en el centro de su reducido espacio se desplazaba una plataforma llena de comida, con distintos platos que habían sido seleccionados por los mismos prisioneros como sus favoritos antes de entrar al hoyo, teniendo pocos minutos para degustar solo su plato, todos los días tenían derecho a comer únicamente su plato, si por alguna razón no se lo comían, guardaban o lo cambian por otro comenzaban la guerra.
Este sistema viene de la primera película del hoyo, aquí no hay variantes, solo que esta segunda experiencia al principio se ve más organizada, como si la población hubiese evolucionado y entendiera que las leyes hay que cumplirlas por el beneficio de todos, el problema en el hoyo 2 inicia cuando un hombre no recibe su trozo de pizza y se siente ofendido lógicamente porque las personas de arriba de él no respetaron el acuerdo y se comieron su único alimento diario. En el segundo día, este hombre decide comerse lo de otros hasta el punto de no importarle a quien perjudica, comenzando una rebeldía, la sublevación y la guerra, naciendo una anarquía.

At this point in the film I expected some of the main characters of the first version of hoyo to appear, in fact I thought that the anointed one would be the previous protagonist, but he did not appear, the only character who returned was Zorion Eguileor as Trimagasi with his cold and unhinged personality, this time he returned as a ghost, since he died in the first film.
The protagonist of this is Milena Smit as Perempuan, all the characters in this film have strange and curious names, some hidden meaning must have that I do not know, well this woman is another inmate who has managed to survive in the hole and has knowledge of the system, but is fed up with the dictatorship imposed by the anointed one does not agree as enforces the law and she leads a revolt against him that during its development is not known who is winning because everyone is dying in a horrible way, with lots of blood and grotesque scenes.

El detalle es que en el hoyo nadie conocía las leyes ni había quien las hiciera cumplir, pero en esta nueva película existe un ungido, que es el enviado de Dios, el encargado junto con sus seguidores de hacer cumplir la ley con métodos cuestionables, aquí los castigos no son dejarte sin comer, sino perder alguna parte del cuerpo, ojos, brazos, manos. En este punto de la película yo esperaba que aparecieran algunos de los personajes principales de hoyo en su primera versión de hecho pensé que el ungido sería el protagonista anterior, pero él no apareció, el único que personaje que regreso fue Zorion Eguileor como Trimagasi con su fría y desquiciada personalidad, esta vez regreso como un fantasma, ya que murió en la primera película.La protagonista de esta es Milena Smit como Perempuan, todos los personajes de esta película tiene nombres extraños y curiosos, algún significado oculto deben tener que yo desconozco, bueno esta mujer es otra reclusa que ha logrado sobrevivir en el hoyo y tiene conocimiento del sistema, pero está harta de la dictadura que impone el ungido no está de acuerdo como hace cumplir la ley y ella lidera una revuelta en su contra que durante su desarrollo no se sabe quién va ganando porque todos van muriendo de una forma horrible, con mucha sangre y escenas grotescas.
Perempuan gets far in the lower levels, but discovers things that she did not imagine, inside this hole there are also children, who are treated in the same way as adults, these children are presented asleep almost at the end of the film as in the first part, Perempuan has awakened the maternal feeling and humanity and decided to save even one and is exposed more than it should because she was doing everything possible to escape.
In conclusion, I think there is no escape from the pit even if they die, because their souls stay there. If you ask me which of the two I liked more for me, the first one was better. In this movie the atmosphere, costumes and makeup are everything, they give that strength to the plot. Another thing I like is the script with few characters that express themselves through simple dialogues, but with strong words that take on meaning. The hole remains a benchmark of dystopian sci-fi movies with Gore, one of my favorites for showing human vulnerabilities and their waste. I hope there will be a third part, as a different closure, that will be better than the second.

Perempuan llega lejos en los niveles inferiores, pero descubre cosas que no se imaginaba, dentro de este hoyo también hay niños, que son tratados de la misma forma que los adultos, estos niños se presentan dormidos casi al final de la película al igual que en la primera parte, ha Perempuan le despierta el sentimiento maternal y de humanidad y decidí salvar aunque sea uno y se expone más de lo que debería porque ella estaba haciendo todo lo posible por escapar.En conclusión, creo que no hay escapatoria del hoyo ni muriendo, porque sus almas se quedan allí. Si me preguntan cuál de las dos me gustó más para mí, la primera fue mejor. En esta película el ambiente, el vestuario y el maquillaje son todo, le dan esa fuerza al argumento. Otra cosa que me gusta es el guion con pocos personajes que se expresan a través de diálogos sencillos, pero con palabras fuertes que cobran significado. El hoyo sigue siendo un referente de películas de ciencia ficción distópicas con Gore, de mis favoritas por mostrar las vulnerabilidades humanas y sus desechos. Espero que haya una tercera parte, como un cierre diferente, que sea mejor que la segunda.
