I like to be blown away by a good show that intrigues me, gives me all the necessary elements to continue with the story, and gets me stuck with it, but when it doesn't, I just don't want to continue. Television series are like a good book, if it hooks you, you want to keep reading until you finish it, but slowly; because getting to the end very fast is not fun either.
These series did not even arouse my curiosity, their plots, although they are very good, did not generate enough intrigue in me to continue walking the path. It's like eating something that physically looks very tasty, but when you try it, it was not what you expected. They are very popular series that achieved a lot of recognition, but they did not generate that climax for me that many perhaps did.
Without further ado, I share with the community those popular series that didn't get me hooked and that to this day I have no intention of continuing.

Me gusta quedarme pasmado con una buena serie que me intrigue, que me de todos los elementos necesarios para seguir con la historia y dejarme amarrado con ella, pero cuando no es así, simplemente no deseo continuar. Las series de televisión son como un buen libro, si te engancha, quieres seguir leyendo hasta terminarlo, pero despacio; porque llegar al final muy rápido tampoco es divertido.
Estas series ni me provocaron curiosidad, sus tramas, aunque sean muy buenas, no me generaron la suficiente intriga para seguir recorriendo el camino. Es como comer algo que físicamente se ve muy sabroso, pero al momento de probarlo no era lo que esperabas. Son series muy populares que lograron mucho reconocimiento, pero a mí no me generaron ese clímax que a muchos tal vez sí.
Sin dejar más preámbulos, comparto con la comunidad aquellas series populares que no me engancharon y que hasta el día de hoy no tengo intención de continual.
1.- LOVECRAFT COUNTRY
I thought that a series based on the Lovecraftian universe would make me shudder and leave me stuck to the screen like chewing gum, but none of this happened to me. It was directed by Misha Green and the script was written by the same director along with Jordan Pelee and Matt Ruff (writer of the novel of the same name on which they were based to make the series). The series has everything you need to make a 'boom', it has a plot that is considered intriguing, a mystery, interesting characters, a quest, and riddles, plus it is a different proposal seen from a racial perspective. It has all the elements to leave you hooked for hours, however, to be honest, I have no idea why I didn't like it.
I only watched the first episode, at that time I didn't have a subscription to HBO Max so I downloaded all the episodes, but I didn't feel like continuing at all. I think it was the type of direction, the photography, or the fact that I didn't identify with the characters, whatever the case, sometime later I found out that they canceled it, so there is no point in continuing an unfinished series.
1.- TERRITORIO LOVECRAFT
Pensaba que una serie, basada en el universo lovecraftiano me haría estremecer y dejarme prensado a la pantalla como un chicle, pero no me pasó nada de esto. Fue dirigida por Misha Green y el guion fue escrito por la misma directora junto a Jordan Pelee y Matt Ruff (escritor de la novela homónima en la que se basaron para hacer la serie). La serie tiene todo lo que necesita para hacer un ‘boom’, tiene una trama que se considera intrigante, un misterio, personajes interesantes, una búsqueda, acertijos, además que es una propuesta diferente visto desde una perspectiva racial. Tiene todos los elementos para dejarte enganchado por horas, sin embargo, si les soy sincero, no tengo idea porque no me gustó.
Solo me vi el primer capítulo, en ese entonces no tenía una suscripción a HBO Max por lo que me descargué todos los episodios, pero para nada, no me dieron ganas de continuar. Creo que fue el tipo de dirección, la fotografía o el hecho de que no me identifiqué con los personajes, sea cual sea el caso, un tiempo después me enteré que la cancelaron, así que ya no tiene caso continuar una serie inconclusa.
2.- THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE
Another series with an interesting plot that I didn't see much of a future for. This was also a promising production, with a good story, however its script has a lot to be desired. Also based on a novel written by Audrey Niffenegger, director Steven Moffat along with David Nutter crafted this story of a man who travels through time deliberately, without his being able to control it. His wife, Clare (Rose Leslie), waits for him every time he leaves, anxious that one day he may not return.
It's a very interesting story as I said before, however, it didn't move me that much, I feel that for such a particular plot they should have delved into some other things; although Theo James (the man who travels in time), didn't hurt with his spectacular physique, I think that's all I can get out of here. I only saw one chapter and besides that, the series was also canceled, it doesn't cause me to continue watching it either.
2.- LA MUJER DEL VIAJERO DEL TIEMPO
Otra serie con una trama interesante a la que no le vi mucho futuro. Esta fue también una producción prometedora, con una buena historia, sin embargo, su guion tiene mucho que desear. También basándose en una novela escrita por Audrey Niffenegger, el director Steven Moffat junto a David Nutter, elaboraron esta historia de un hombre que viaja en el tiempo deliberadamente, sin que él pueda controlarlo. Su esposa Clare (Rose Leslie), lo espera cada vez que él se va, con la angustia de que algún día quizás no regrese.
Es una historia muy interesante como he dicho antes, sin embargo, no me emocionó tanto en realidad, siento que para una trama tan particular debieron profundizar en algunas otras cosas; aunque Theo James (el hombre que viaja en el tiempo), no dejaba mal con su espectacular físico, pero creo que es todo lo que puedo sacar de aquí. Solo vi un capítulo y además que la serie también fue cancelada, tampoco me provoca seguir viéndola.
3.- UNCOUPLED
With this series I did have a little more faith I reached many more chapters; I don't remember if I ended up in the third or fourth chapter, the truth is that I didn't want to continue it, it wasn't the best for my tastes.
Neil Patrick Harris is the lead, which is why I had higher expectations, as I thought it would be fun; and so it is, only some things did not convince me. Directed by Darren Star (creator of Sex and the City), along with Jeffrey Richman and Andrew Fleming, and written by Richman and Star, the story tells of Michael, a man who thought his life was perfect, until one day his husband decides to leave him after 17 years together. With this big shock, he must now deal with a single life that he doesn't want and have to face the world of gay hookups for men over 40 years of age.
Everything seems very funny, the series has very good dialogues and jokes, and the characters are also very funny and use the classic resources in romantic comedies that always entertain the public, however, the fact of demonizing singleness in that way seemed too absurd. way. They put everything as a parody and sometimes some situations aren't funny, it didn't manage to hook me because everything was so unreal and ridiculous that as a comedy it seemed more of the same. What I can highlight is the interpretation of the actors, Neil Patrick has a lot of charisma and I praise him for that.
3.- DESPAREJADO
Con esta serie si tenía un poco más de fe, de hecho, llegué a muchos más capítulos; no recuerdo si quedé en el tercer o cuarto capítulo, lo cierto es que no me dieron ganas de continuarla, no fue lo mejor para mis gustos.
Neil Patrick Harris es el protagonista, por eso es que tenía más expectativas, ya que pensé que sería divertido; y así es, solo que hay cosas que no me convencieron. Dirigida por Darren Star (creador de Sex and the city), junto a Jeffrey Richman y Andrew Fleming, y escrita por Richman y Star, la historia nos habla de Michael, un hombre que pensaba que su vida era perfecta, hasta que un día su esposo decide dejarlo después de 17 años juntos. Con este gran choque, ahora debe lidiar con una vida de soltero que no quiere, y tener que enfrentarse al mundo de los ligues homosexuales para hombres de más 40 años de edad.
Todo parece muy divertido, la serie tiene muy buenos diálogos y chistes, los personajes también son muy graciosos y utilizan los clásicos recursos en las comedias románticas que siempre entretienen al público, sin embargo, me pareció demasiado absurdo el hecho de satanizar la soltería de esa manera. Todo lo colocan como una parodia y a veces hay situaciones que no dan risa, no logró engancharme porque todo fue tan irreal y ridículo que como comedia me pareció más de lo mismo. Lo que sí puedo destacar es la interpretación de los actores, Neil Patrick tiene mucho carisma y eso se lo alabo.
4.- DAHMER - MONSTER: THE JEFFREY DAHMER STORY
And finally, we have Murphy's acclaimed overrated series. Tik Toks, memes, and cosplays have been made; There was even controversy on Halloween since many people thought of dressing up as the Milwaukee monster; after the series became popular. Most people seem to have liked it, but not me.
The cinematography and direction were very good, and the performance of Evan Peters as Dahmer was also excellent, but in this particular case, what ruined this series for me was its fans, with its spoilers and its short reviews with more spoilers, and I am referring only to those of Instagram and Tik Tok, which are the most abundant. But there was another thing that made me not hooked and it was how overrated it already was. I can't comment much, because I only saw two episodes, but I thought that being a series with an interesting theme of those that I like, I was going to be hooked; as it happened to me with others in the past, but here nothing to see and at this point, I do not plan to finish watching it.
4.- DAHMER - Monstruo: La historia de Jeffrey Dahmer
Y, por último, tenemos la aclamada serie del sobrevalorado de Murphy. Se han hecho Tik Toks, memes, cosplays; incluso hubo polémica en Halloween ya que mucha gente pensaba disfrazarse como el monstruo de Milwaukee; después de que la serie se popularizó. A la mayoría de las personas parece haberles gustado, pero no a mí.
La fotografía y la dirección estuvieron muy bien, la interpretación de Evan Peters como Dahmer también estuvo excelente, pero en este caso en particular, lo que me arruinó esta serie fueron sus fans, con sus spoilers y sus reseñas breves con más spoilers, y me refiero únicamente a los de Instagram y Tik Tok, que son los que más abundaron. Pero hubo otra cosa que hizo que no me enganchara y fue lo sobrevalorada que ya estaba. No puedo opinar mucho, porque solo me vi dos capítulos, pero pensaba que al ser una serie con una temática interesante de esas que me gustan, iba a quedar enganchado; como me pasó con otras en el pasado, pero aquí nada que ver y a estas alturas no pienso terminar de verla.
Conclusions
They are not bad series, they have a lot of good elements with an exuberant amount of fans, it just didn't make me want to finish them. Its themes are varied, ranging from complex to fun, but it is difficult for a series to leave me glued to the screen for a long time. I also don't like watching unfinished series, that is, those that were canceled, that ruin everything.

Conclusiones
No son series malas, tienen muchos elementos buenos con una cantidad exuberante de fans, simplemente no me dieron ganas de terminarlas. Sus temáticas son variadas, que van de lo complejo a lo divertido, pero una serie es difícil que me deje pegado a la pantalla por un buen rato. Tampoco me gusta ver series inconclusas, es decir aquellas que fueron canceladas, eso arruina todo.
