¿Cómo están el día de hoy? Yo muy bien y muy feliz de contarles que por fin pude sacar un espacio de tiempo para ver una película que me habían recomendado bastante. Hace unos años salió una película llamada "oculus", la cual es una película que muestra sucesos extraños y entes que habitan en un espejo que compró la familia protagonista. Sin más, quiero mostrarles un poco de qué va esta película y también, ya que estamos hablando de mi opinión

En esta película conocemos a Tim y Kayle los cuales vivían junto a sus padres hasta que una noche ocurrió una desgracia, donde aparentemente Tim asesinó a sus padres, por lo que fue puesto bajo custodia del estado. Se dice, aparentemente, ya que nosotros, como espectadores, sabemos que esto no es así, sino que ellos vivían con un espejo embrujado, el cual tenía un espíritu habitando dentro de él, y terminó asesinando a sus padres
In this film we meet Tim and Kayle who lived with their parents until one night a misfortune occurred, where Tim apparently murdered his parents, so he was taken into state custody. A lo largo de la película observamos cómo el espíritu que vive dentro del espejo juega con la mente de los hermanos y las personas cercanas a ellos, haciéndose pasar por cualquier tipo de cosa, con tal de confundirlos y dejarlos en pánico. El espejo poco a poco va obteniendo su objetivo, el cual es hacerlos caer en pánico y llenarlos de creencias, las cuales obviamente nos son verdad. Esta es una película sin final feliz, ya que, Tim termina asesinando a su hermana por error luego de que el espejo hiciera alusión a que estaba enfrentándose al espíritu que vivía dentro del espejo y no a su hermana. Esta producción logra hacerte dudar de todo lo que ves en la misma, ya que, en ningún momento, podemos estar completamente seguros de qué es real y qué no.
Throughout the film we observe how the spirit that lives inside the mirror plays with the minds of the brothers and the people close to them, pretending to be any kind of thing, in order to confuse them and leave them in panic. The mirror gradually achieves its goal, which is to make them panic and fill them with beliefs, which are obviously not true. This is a movie without a happy ending, since Tim ends up killing his sister by mistake after the mirror alludes to the fact that he was facing the spirit that lived inside the mirror and not his sister. This production manages to make you doubt everything you see in it, since, at no time, can we be completely sure what is real and what is not.
Mi Opinión
Antes de contarles mi opinión, debo mencionar que esta película, aunque fue bastante extraña, hubo partes que me gustaron bastante. Aunque claro, tiene sus excepciones, y hubo ciertas cosas que para mí no hicieron mucho sentido. En toda la película estuve pensando formas en cómo los protagonistas podían llegar a sobrevivir a estas situaciones, pero por beneficio de la trama no se llegaron a dar.
Before I tell you my opinion, I should mention that this movie, even though it was quite strange, there were parts of it that I liked quite a bit. Of course, it has its exceptions, and there were certain things that didn't make much sense to me. Throughout the whole movie I kept thinking about how the main characters could survive these situations, but for the benefit of the plot they didn't happen.
Una de estas, la cual es de las más claras, es que mientras el espejo estuviera tapado con algún tipo de sábana o lo que sea este, no podía hacerles daño y el ente o espíritu que habita en él no podía salir. Sin mucho sentido, los protagonistas decidieron acabar con el espejo, destapándolo y así dejando que él mismo pueda dañarlos. Sinceramente, entiendo que lo que querían era grabar este suceso y demostrarle al mundo todo lo que podía hacer este espejo maldito, pero ponían en riesgo sus vidas de una manera estúpida.
One of these, which is one of the clearest, is that as long as the mirror was covered with some kind of sheet or whatever, it could not harm them and the entity or spirit that dwells in it could not come out. Without much sense, the protagonists decided to do away with the mirror, uncovering it and thus allowing it to harm them. Honestly, I understand that what they wanted was to record this event and show the world what this cursed mirror could do, but they put their lives at risk in a stupid way.
Entiendo que es una película, pero sin los protagonistas hubieran sido más realistas y conscientes con lo que estaba pasando y decidían simplemente eliminar, romper, o como quieras llamarlo al espejo antes que grabar un video para demostrar la maldición, ambos hubieran sobrevivido y salidos ilesos de todo el trauma que habían pasado.
I understand it's a movie, but if the protagonists had been more realistic and aware of what was going on and decided to simply remove, break, or whatever you want to call it the mirror rather than record a video to demonstrate the curse, both would have survived and come out unscathed from all the trauma they had gone through.
Algo que me gustó de la película es que tiene una trama bastante interesante, ya que, el espíritu que vive en el espejo puede afectar de más maneras que solamente apareciendo frente a los protagonistas o haciendo presencia en otras áreas de la casa. Este ente o fantasma puede hablarles, transformarse en otra persona, llamarlos por teléfono y hacer miles de cosas más mientras estén dentro de la casa, lo cual es una trama bastante única.
One thing I liked about the movie is that it has quite an interesting plot, since, the spirit that lives in the mirror can affect in more ways than just appearing in front of the main characters or making presence in other areas of the house. This entity or ghost can talk to them, transform into another person, call them on the phone and do thousands of other things while they are inside the house, which is a very unique plot.
Siguiendo esto mismo, mientras los protagonistas pasen más tiempo dentro de la casa, estos cada vez se volverán más locos y empezarán a imaginar muchas más cosas. Por esto es que Tim, al final de la película, termina asesinando a su hermana, ya que este realmente no la ve a la hora de activar una trampa, gracias a las alucinaciones del espíritu del espejo.
Following this, as the protagonists spend more time inside the house, they will become crazier and crazier and will start to imagine many more things. This is why Tim, at the end of the film, ends up murdering his sister, since he does not really see her when setting off a trap, thanks to the hallucinations of the mirror spirit.
Creo que lo menos que me gustó de esta película, fue lo ilógica que puede llegar a ser con ciertos aspectos que ya comenté. Por esto y a otras cosas más para mí, esta película es un 7/10, bastante buena a nivel de terror, de suspenso, de confusión, pero sí hay muchas cosas por mejorar. Es una película que ya tiene algunos años en el mundo cinéfilo, pero aun así para estos años ya había muy buenas películas de terror que merecen un 10/10 sin duda. Con esto no quiero decir que no la recomiendo, al contrario, realmente me parece que es bastante entretenida y que pueda hacerte pasar bastante susto si es que te atreves a verla.
I think the least I liked about this movie, was how illogical it can be with certain aspects that I already mentioned. For this and other things for me, this movie is a 7/10, quite good in terms of horror, suspense, confusion, but there are many things to improve. It's a movie that already has some years in the movie world, but even so for these years there were already very good horror movies that deserve a 10/10 without a doubt. With this I do not mean that I do not recommend it, on the contrary, I really think it is quite entertaining and can make you spend quite a scare if you dare to see it.
