¿Comó están el día de hoy? Yo muy bien, con muchas ganas de hablarles sobre una película que vi sinceramente por las críticas que estaba recibiendo en YouTube y otras plataformas. Esta película no es nada nueva, pero por alguna razón me empezaron a aparecer videos sobre ella y decidí que sería buena opción verla. Sin más, quiero hablarles de esta película de terror, la cual combina diferentes métodos de grabación y enfoque en toda su producción.
How are you today? I'm very well, with a lot of desire to talk to you about a movie that I saw sincerely because of the reviews it was receiving on YouTube and other platforms. This movie is nothing new, but for some reason I started to see videos about it and I decided it would be a good option to watch it. Without further ado, I want to tell you about this horror movie, which combines different filming methods and approach throughout its production.

Para entender esta película podemos imaginar que somos una reportera de televisión cualquiera y te toca hacer un reportaje sobre la vida de los bomberos durante una noche de trabajo. Todo parece tranquilo hasta que reciben una llamada de auxilio a un edificio de apartamentos. Así es como lo que parecía, una noche de trabajo tranquila, se vuelve, una busca incesante por la supervivencia donde poco a poco van muriendo.
To understand this film we can imagine that we are a TV reporter and you have to do a report on the life of firefighters during a night of work. Everything seems quiet until they receive a call for help to an apartment building. This is how what seemed like a quiet night of work, becomes a relentless search for survival where little by little they are dying.
En este edificio, van pasando sucesos bastante extraños, y los mismos vecinos del mismo van teniendo comportamientos aún más extraños luego de infectarse por una bacteria extraña. La reportera y los bomberos tendrán que luchar por sobrevivir mientras intentan escapar del edificio y descubrir qué es lo que está causando todo este caos.
In this building, quite strange events are happening, and the neighbors themselves are having even stranger behaviors after being infected by a strange bacterium. The reporter and the firefighters will have to fight to survive while trying to escape from the building and discover what is causing all this chaos.
La supervivencia no la tienen nada fácil, ya que al tratar de salir del edificio, la policía los acorrala y no dejan que nadie salga del lugar, dejándolos completamente a su suerte, con las cosas que había en ciertas casas y algunas armas, sin muchas municiones. Nuestros protagonistas poco a poco se dan cuenta de que lo que tiene así al edificio es una especie de bacteria que vuelve zombi a la gente, lo que hace que busquen comerse a los sobrevivientes.
Survival is not easy, because when they try to leave the building, the police corner them and do not let anyone leave the place, leaving them completely to their fate, with the things that were in certain houses and some weapons, without much ammunition. Our protagonists gradually realize that what has the building like this is a kind of bacteria that turns people into zombies, which makes them seek to eat the survivors.
Mi opinión
Ya comenté que llegué a esta película por todas las críticas que he visto recientemente, pero quería volverlo a comentar, ya que me impresiona bastante este hecho. Siento que tiene todas las razones del mundo para que sea así, ya que tiene buenos actores, calidad de grabación, planos distintos, buen guion, buena historia, pero aun así no creo que sea la mejor película de todas
I already commented that I came to this film because of all the reviews I've seen recently, but I wanted to comment again, as I'm quite impressed by this fact. I feel it has all the reasons in the world to be so, as it has good actors, quality filming, distinct shots, good script, good story, but still I don't think it's the best movie of all
Tengo ganas de seguir viendo qué es lo que sacaron luego de esta película, ya que algo que sí vi es que tiene varias películas que le siguen a estas, algunas mejor valoradas que otras, pero tendré que verlas antes que juzgar. Yo tengo un pensamiento raro, y es que si buscan sacar muchas películas de un solo título, siempre terminan bajando la calidad y así llegando a que se pierda la esencia de la película. Esto es algo que sinceramente me preocupa con terrifier, ya que siento que es una muy buena película, pero andan apurándose en sacar muchas películas de este mismo título
I'm looking forward to see what they released after this movie, since something I did see is that they have several movies that follow these, some better rated than others, but I'll have to see them before judging. I have a strange thought, and that is that if they try to release many movies from a single title, they always end up lowering the quality and thus losing the essence of the movie. This is something that sincerely worries me with Terrifier, since I feel that it is a very good movie, but they are rushing to release many movies of the same title.
Como obviamente me encanta hablar de otros aspectos que me hayan gustado, debo comentar que ame el tema de que la grabación, o casi el 100% de la misma, fuera hecha desde la cámara del documental, sin ningún tipo de trípode o ayuda a que quedara totalmente estabilizada, yo creo principalmente que esto es lo que llego a meternos en la película y dejarte pegado viéndola, ya que es un tipo diferente y bastante buen método de grabación
As obviously I love to talk about other aspects that I liked, I must comment that I loved the fact that the recording, or almost 100% of it, was made from the camera of the documentary, without any kind of tripod or help to be fully stabilized, I think this is mainly what got us into the film and leave you stuck watching it, as it is a different type and quite good method of recording.
Otra cosa que también me gustó bastante y ya comenté es el guion y la trama en sí, es bastante interesante ver cómo se va desarrollando y cómo la culpable de todo es una niña pequeña de aproximadamente 5 años. Personalmente, no me lo esperé o por lo menos, no me lo esperé de esta forma, lo cual le hizo un super plus a la trama
Another thing that I also liked a lot and I already commented is the script and the plot itself, it is quite interesting to see how it develops and how the culprit of everything is a little girl of about 5 years old. Personally, I did not expect it or at least, I did not expect it in this way, which made it a super plus to the plot.
Algo que si debo mencionar, es que en algunas partes de terror, miedo, desesperación o cosas por el estilo, hay actores que aquí estuvieron que no hacían el mejor trabajo y dejaban que desear, un ejemplo de esto es en la escena final, donde la reportera es jalada hacia atrás por los pies dejando la cámara lejos de ella. Esa parte no me gustó para nada y siento que se ejecutó supermal, bajándole la calidad a todo lo que me diste anteriormente, siendo algo bastante cliché de las películas típicas de terror
Something I should mention, is that in some parts of terror, fear, desperation or things like that, there are actors who were here that did not do the best job and left to be desired, an example of this is in the final scene, where the reporter is pulled back by her feet leaving the camera away from her. I didn't like that part at all and I feel it was executed super bad, lowering the quality of everything you gave me before, being something quite cliché of the typical horror movies.
Personalmente, no es mi película favorita, aunque tampoco la odié ni nada por el estilo. Por esta ocasión sí le voy a dar un 7/10, ya que sí es bastante buena, pero hubo ciertas cosas que comenté que siento que pudieron ejecutar mejor, aunque la verdad no sé cuánto presupuesto tenían para lograr estas escenas, por eso no quiero juzgar mucho
Personally, it's not my favorite movie, although I didn't hate it or anything either. For this occasion I'm going to give it a 7/10, because it is pretty good, but there were some things that I commented that I feel they could have executed better, although I don't know how much budget they had to achieve these scenes, so I don't want to judge too much.
