I rarely celebrate.
I am single for the biggest part of my life. To be honest I do not know what more to celebrate then birthdays and December 5th.
This year I haven't been able to see my children which means there was nothing to celebrate. I have strong doubts we will meet this summer, with some luck it will be for December unless I am not able to drive.
There's no marriage anniversary, no x years working for the same employer nor being 30, 40, 50, 64, 75, or 100 hundred years old. I never met people who celebrated it and was never invited to it either. I assume it depends on the culture or family that is worth celebrating.
To me mainly birthdays are (my children's) and December 5th is. For sure Dece>Thismber 5th I find important. During my entire life, I celebrated it. No matter what I saved for it. It's the only day money is spent to make happy and candies and cookies can be eaten once a year. That might not sound special to most but it is to us.
