The team behind leofinance seems to be working hard and productive lately and the latest updates for leofinance are living proof of my saying. I've heard users quite a few times talking on leo about a signing up(and probably sign in) method through twitter and google and that's simply great news.
In May 2020 twitter had 330 million active users in total and a single tweet can't be longer than 280 characters, while the stubbornness of the social media giant still refuses to add an edit button for its 330 million users world wide.
You have to be careful how you put it out, because there's no turning back... sort of. We do have the ability to edit posts though and despite not being such a big community as twitter has become, we might be one of the biggest from the blockchain based ones.
It started out as a blogging platform and we pretty much walk the same path for the type of content that's been sharing on the chain for years. There are video streaming dapps as well, and there were the ones such as appics that somehow encouraged facebook types of posts, but other than that...
Was thinking though... how about LeoTweets?
What do you guys think about tweeter like types of posts do you consider them spam, are you a regular such content creator and could you even imagine a post like that on the trending page, and how do you think will impact engagement around here?
To answer my own questions I'd say: hell yeah. When we're talking millions of users on this blockchain(hopefully) and when analyzing a bit the average type of content from successful social media sites such as facebook, insatgram and twitter... we're talking what we actually call shit posts.
But for such a huge crowd...digesting that many blog posts, engaging and curating on them is gonna be a bit more difficult than it currently is with our small community. I know, you don't have to follow everyone, but you might want to be following a lot of interesting guys and gals talking crypto, finances, art, etc etc and sipping 500 words or more, types of posts, from that many users won't be an easy job.
Don't know about you, but I am curios when this blockchain, and especially leofinance, will embrace and accept such types of posts, how mature will the users be in managing that amount of content on a daily basis and how much would the metrics of this project would change for the better when 280 characters long posts will be the norm.
And yes, I could have made this post a tweet long one, but... old habits die hard.
Thanks for attention,
Adrian
