Bitcoin opened a new era, and AI is about to show the world what the term "limitless" truly stands for. I've been a strong believer in Bitcoin ever since I first heard of it and understood the technology behind it, but I was an AI skeptic for quite some time.
I attributed dangers to it that might never become a reality and capabilities that might never be fully leveraged. There’s been this idea floating around for a while that AI will manage to rule over us humans if we let it get out of control.
I’m not sure what to think about that. I'd rather believe that brainwashing us and playing with our minds is a bigger threat than actually being enslaved by AI. Yesterday, I was talking on the phone with my father, who lives in Austria and has been unemployed for a few months.
The unemployment office keeps sending him job offers, but at 64 years old, no matter how many he applies to, it will be hard to get a job. Sooner rather than later, more and more people will be in his position as robotization continues to grow. He doesn’t see robots as a threat, though, because he’s seen them working, and he says they’re slow as fuck...
He doesn’t get technology, it seems, as he expects growth in this field to occur in a linear way, like in other aspects of life. But technology isn’t like a muscle that grows in a sort of linear fashion—tech’s growth is exponential. The robots he now sees as slow workers will be insanely fast in a few years.
Many of the regular jobs currently held by humans will soon be taken over by robots, and some are wondering how they’re going to make a living in such a situation. Well, when I think of that, only one thing comes to mind: UBI (Universal Basic Income).
Politicians and the oligarchs behind them can’t afford massive riots and chaos from hungry and frustrated masses, so they have to do something, and free money seems to be a viable option. But UBI won’t work with the current forms of money; they’ll have to bring CBDCs into the game because they need a way to control who’s eligible for UBI.
As China already has a social credit score-based societal system, so will the West. To get free money from the state, one will have to obey all the rules and make sure their score doesn’t enter the danger zone...
This is why I believe all the chaos in the world is created by design. A couple of days ago, I was reading that Germany plans to pass a law allowing police to enter and search a house without a warrant, based only on suspicion. It seems that the elites are once again using terrorism as an excuse to steal more freedom from us.
And no one does anything about it... Until it’s too late. There was a time when I felt cursed for being born and living in this country, but I don’t feel that way anymore, as this forgotten land is often more free and fun than many of the so-called civilized countries.
But what do we do if AI takes our jobs in the years to come? I guess we have to learn how to "tame it" and make it work for us, right?
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
