Siempre se puede aprender más sobre un tema en particular. He estado en contacto con este mundo de las criptomonedas desde el año 2017, y de alguna manera creía que ya sabía bastantes cosas. Pero como ustedes ya sabrán, la sabiduría es asumir que no sabes nada, e iluso sería asumir que ya sabes todo.
He tomado dos cursos en Platzi para reforzar mis conocimientos base en criptomonedas y de alguna manera tener un certificado que lo valide. Por cierto, he comprado la suscripción de Platzi para tener acceso a todos los cursos por un año entero. Esto es algo especial ya que es una plataforma que ha servido para potenciar las carreras profesionales de muchas personas actualmente. Más adelante haré un post al respecto.
Como ya he dicho, a pesar de tener ya un conocimiento o noción bastante desarrollado de la filosofía e historia de las criptomonedas, aún habían cosas que no sabía, las cuales estos dos cursos me ayudaron a aprender y conocer. Y aún hay cosas que no sé, por lo cual se remarca la importancia de la famosa frase de Platzi: "Nunca pares de Aprender".
Estos son los dos cursos que he tomado, los cuales se los recomiendo a cualquiera así sea nuevo o no en este mundo de Bitcoin y las Criptomonedas. Servirá ya sea para aprender algo totalmente nuevo o reforzar conocimientos:
Curso de Bitcoin y Lightning NetworkEnlace del curso
Este curso es impartido por Jazmín Jorquera, Gerente de Operaciones en Buda.com, exchange de criptomonedas, y Alejandro Beltran, Co-fundador de este exchange. Este es un curso que aborda de manera bastante sintetizada los fundamentos de Bitcoin y Lightning Network.
La verdad ya había visto en algún video o leído en algún libro acerca de la historia del dinero, por lo que esta parte del curso no era nueva para mi. Pero poco a poco se fue introduciendo hacia conceptos más técnicos que vale la pena aprender o tener en cuenta. Entender el funcionamiento de la blockchain en términos generales así como las características de Bitcoin, lo que lo hace diferente del dinero tradicional, son cosas que toda persona en el mundo cripto debería buscar tener claro.
Algo que me gustó de este curso es el enfoque que se le da desde el punto de vista de Bitcoin y las criptos como alternativas más libres respecto de la economía tradicional. El video sobre las preguntas más frecuentes sobre Bitcoin podría aclararte muchas dudas al respecto.
Algo que realmente era nuevo para mi fue el BIP o Bitcoin Improvement Proposal. Realmente no había escuchado o leído sobre esto antes, pero tiene cierta importancia. Esto se basa en propuestas sugeridas por usuarios de la red de Bitcoin para mejorar su funcionamiento.
Y, finalmente, Lightning Network, un video muy conciso donde se explica esta herramienta de la red d Bitcoin para manejar micro-pagos. Creo que muchos en la comunidad de Platzi coinciden en que debió profundizarse más acerca de Lightning y quizás crearse un curso dedicado específicamente a ello. De todas maneras creo que es un curso muy útil para comprender el porqué se creó Lightning y su aplicabilidad.
Audiocurso de Historia de Bitcoin y CriptomonedasEnlace del curso
Este curso es dictado por Angela Ocando, Directora de la Escuela de Blockchain y Criptomonedas en Platzi. A diferencia del anterior curso, este se enfoca en la historia y en los acontecimientos que poco a poco fueron formando lo que hoy en día es Bitcoin y por supuesto también las criptomonedas.
Algo a destacar en este curso es la excelente y entretenida narración de la profesora. También es un curso muy didáctico. Se mencionan varias cosas que no sabía, entre ellas algunos eventos en la historia de la criptografía, como la formulación de la criptografía asimétrica y el árbol de Merkle, útiles para el funcionamiento de la blokchain. Aunque ya tenía cierta idea de lo que fue el grupo CypherPunk, acá se explica con claridad cuando surgió y sus objetivos específicos.
El origen del término POW (Proof or Work) también es explicado. No conocía el origen de este protocolo de minado mediante poder computacional.
Otra cosa que había leído frecuentemente por ahí y no tenía una idea clara de su significado es el "problema de los generales bizantinos". Me gustó la manera didáctica en que este curso realiza una explicación de sus principios y cómo hizo Satoshi Nakamoto para resolver este problema al momento de crear Bitcoin. Sin embargo, creo que esta parte en específico pudo haber sido explicada con mayor claridad ya que quizás es mucho más difícil de entender para quien no esté empapado en el tema de las criptos y la blockchain.
En resumen, estos dos cursos te ayudan a consolidar ciertas bases para tener conocimientos básicos del mundo e historia de Bitcoin y las criptomonedas. He creado una ruta personal donde hay más cursos en Platzi respecto a las criptos para seguir aprendiendo más de este mundo. Gracias por leer ¡Saludos!
You can always learn more about a particular topic. I have been in touch with this world of cryptocurrencies since 2017, and somehow I thought I already knew quite a few things. But as you may already know, wisdom is assuming you know nothing, and delusional would be to assume you already know everything.
I have taken two courses at Platzi to reinforce my base knowledge in cryptocurrencies and somehow have a certificate to validate it.
