We have two indications in this index such as fear and greed. You may have seen that when markets go upside the greed index percentage rises as well which means that investors are greedy that time.
Similarly when market go downside, fear percentage rises that time which indicates that investors are now fearful and they are on selling side.
But you have to go against this concept. When you see fear percentage is rising its good time to start your buying as all other investors keeps on selling.
When greed index rises it will be then best time to start selling as investors will go on buying more.
