** US Stocks Surge on Strong Earnings and Trade Optimism**
Wall Street rallied sharply Thursday as major indices hit fresh record highs, fueled by robust corporate earnings and positive trade developments. The S&P 500 rose 0.7%, the Nasdaq 100 gained 1%, and the Dow added 100 points, reflecting broad-based investor confidence.
Tech giants led the charge: Meta soared 11% after delivering strong quarterly results and issuing an upbeat forecast for Q3 sales.
Microsoft jumped over 8% as it beat earnings expectations and revealed that annual revenue from its Azure cloud platform has now surpassed $75 billion — a testament to the enduring strength in cloud computing.
Healthcare and retail also shined: AbbVie climbed 4.5% after exceeding profit estimates, while CVS surged 7% on raised full-year guidance.
Despite sector-wide strength, Qualcomm slipped 4% post-earnings, bucking the trend in an otherwise red-hot semiconductor space.
Adding to the positive momentum, investors welcomed news of reduced tariffs on South Korean imports, providing a lift to trade-sensitive equities.
Earning season is getting a boost. With earnings powerhouses delivering and geopolitical tensions easing slightly, Wall Street is having a day on a high note — proving that strong fundamentals and policy wins can still drive markets upward.
