Since Joining this blockchain in June 2017 I have been powering up all that I could. Through the ups and downs, I always tried to stay as consistent as I could. Even when my posts were gathering only a few cents in upvotes I continued with my personal project of documenting each and every one of my sculptures on my main account @ammonite. I knew a Hive was a Hive was a Hive and one day, as well as having produced all this evergreen content. The token price would rise and I would be in a good place. It has been a slow-going process.
Leo came along and I started to divert some of my post rewards to this and to some other tokens on Hive Engine, to show support for and grow my stake in these new and exciting projects. I won't post my wallet info here but I am happy that I have moved up to a point that I feel quite proud of.
Now that the token price of Hive is starting to show some movement I find myself locked in a place where I am all powered up and not able to take advantage of these apparent pumps and dumps.
The magic of HBD
HBD had been an underutilised token within our ecosystem, mainly because as a stablecoin it went up and down like a prostitute's knickers. It is only now that we have HBDstabiliser working away in the background that it is starting to stabilise and become the thing it was supposed to be. Something that would allow for true commerce.
For much of Hive's existence Hive was standing well below HBD but suddenly it is trading well above. This gives a great possibility to turn some of my Hive into more Hive.
Sell my Hive for HBD when the price is high and then sell the HDB back to Hive when it falls back down. (Which I am sure that it will). This kind of trading should help me grow even faster on top of what I achieve in post rewards.
Another great thing about HDB is that if I add more and more to my savings I will be receiving over 10% interest. For me, it is safer and more rewarding than any back.
So from now on, I will be powering down as I power up to make sure I always have a little liquid on hand to take advantage of all the craziness that Hive will be seeing in the next few months and years.
I am still far from my dream of Hive becoming a nice little supplementary passive income but these last few days have proved that it is possible.
