Read something today that strock a cord with me, it said something in the line of:
In today’s digital age, engagement isn’t just important—it’s everything. Without it, your brand might as well be invisible.
And this is such a true statement and its actully good for a small platform like us, because ENGAGAMENT is a metric we can control and improve.
So In this post, we’ll delve into the concept of the "Engagement Journey"—a strategic approach to rallying more people and boosting interaction with your brand. We’ll look into some ideas on what we can do to boost engagement.
Understanding Engagement
First questions we should ask is: **What is Engagement and why do we need it? **
Engagement refers to the level of interaction and involvement your audience has with your content, brand, or platform. It can include upvotes, comments, reblogs, clicks, and any other form of active actions on the platform. Since Inleo isn't currently driven by metrics like the number of views, our primary focus should be on generating more comments and fostering discussions.
1. Know Your Audience
Understanding your audience is the most important thing if you want to improve your engagement.
Focus on getting to know your current fellow users on Inleo by utilizing tools like threadcasts or by visiting their threads. Threadcasts, in particular, are a great way to create interactive discussions and build relationships within the community. By encouraging users to participate in threadcasts, you can learn more about their interests, preferences, and pain points. This direct interaction not only helps in gathering valuable insights but also strengthens the bond between your platform and its users, making them feel valued and heard. Its basically just the same process as getting new friends in real life, find some common ground and start from there. Might be interests like sports, movies or any other topic.
2. Create Compelling Content
What makes content truly interesting and good? Think about yourself—what do you engage with when you're online? It could be anything from a self-produced documentary on YouTube to a TikTok of someone doing something silly. This shows that content itself isn't inherently bad; it’s about finding the audience that’s out there. Create what you feel passionate about, but if you want to drive more engagement, it can be helpful to look for more "viral" ideas or jump on current trends. The advantage at Inleo is that we’re still small enough that there’s plenty of room to publish content on a wide range of topics—there isn’t too much of anything just yet.
3. Foster Community and Interaction
A fast track to creating more engagement is to join or create your own community around a topic you're passionate about. There are already several examples of this on the platform, and many of them use daily threadcasts to communicate with each other and keep everything in one place. Some use a special interest, while others focus on their home country as a common point. There is enormous potential to leverage this to build relationships with other users and enhance engagement. Leo.voter also finds these threadcasts if you're interested in rewards.
Utilize Analytics
Currently, there aren’t many analytics tools available on Inleo, but that doesn’t mean you can’t try to analyze which of our threads generate the most engagement. Could it be that your audience has a specific time zone? Is there a particular interest they share? Try to analyze what works, and once you find something that does, maximize it. It might be temporary if it’s a trend, so use it for as long as you can, and then it’s time to test something new.
To wrap this up, I just want to send out the reminder that #everythreadmatters .I listened to AMA that we reached over 100k threads this month. Now it’s up to all of us to keep growing. If we want this project to succeed, it’s up to us. No one else is going to come here and take us to the moon.
