What is Aqualis Protocol?

Aqualis Protocol is a next-generation DeFi platform that seamlessly integrates a decentralized exchange (DEX) with lending functionality to maximize capital efficiency. What is the AQL Token?

The AQL Token serves as the core governance token of the Aqualis Protocol and AqualisDAO.

Community members will have the opportunity to lock Aqualis tokens to obtain Aqualis Power, a metric that determines both voting influence within the AqualisDAO and the proportional share of rewards from the AQL reward pool.

Protocol revenue will be periodically utilized to buy back and burn AQL tokens from the open market. This mechanism incentivizes holders and the broader Aqualis community to actively contribute to positive decision making through the DAO.

The AQL Token is set to launch at a future date. With no VC involvement, no major presales and no KoL allocations, the only way for the community to obtain AQL tokens prior to launch is through the AQL token airdrop.

AQL Airdrop Lite

A total of 888 million (888,000,000) AQL tokens will be airdropped to the Metis and Aqualis community between the 22nd of Jan to the 28th of Feb based on their on chain and social activity.

How to earn points:

• Add liquidity: 10 points per stablecoin (rounded down)
• Trade: 1 point per stablecoin (rounded down)
• Up to additional 5% of total points dedicated for social activities

Social activities may include community social media contests, meme or creative contests, Twitter engagement, Telegram engagement, Discord engagement and more!

At the end of the airdrop period, tokens will be claimable on Ethereum via a smart contract reachable via the Aqualis frontend or Etherscan. Please note the token will initially only be available on Ethereum, with bridging to Metis available at a later date.

Future of AQL Airdrops

A dashboard will be created for future AQL airdrops, including allocations across each chain and a real time estimate of AQL rewards. Leaderboard prizes and referral rewards will also be introduced in future airdrops.

Monthly AQL airdrops will be distributed across all chains where the Aqualis Protocol is deployed, with the total rewards decreasing by 1% each month unless adjusted by the DAO. Airdrops will eventually be fully automated and include a 30-day vesting period to mitigate any airdrop day price volatility.
