Dreaming of HIVE
Sooner or later we all have dreamed about the value that HIVE may reach someday; whether it's a new user or someone who has already been registered for years, in a world full of potenzialities and volatility such as cryptocurrency's one it's inevitable, every now and then, to stop and wonder: how far can we go?
And when it comes to Hive, the doubt is surely legitimate, given the enormous potential this chain has and its current very low uptake among the general public.
Because if that were to change - and there are many reasons to think that this, sooner or later, must happen - what value could HIVE reach? $10? $100? $1,000? Even more? Or much less?
Figuring that out, of course, is not easy and even if someons's somehow managed to identify one or more possible values, there would still be so many factors that will have to combine in the right way for some of these scenarios to become reality...
However, figuring out which of these values are reacheable and which, on the other hand, are practically sci-fi can still be a useful information, especially for those wishing to identify the "ideal" number of HP one should own to achieve his/her own financial freedom
To try and find this answer, we can use the current market capitalization of HIVE and compare it with that of other tokens and cryptocurrencies, thus identifying what value of HIVE would correspond to that particular market capitalization.
First, the current market capitalization of HIVE is about $200,000,000.00, a value that ranks it as the 168th most capitalized cryptocurrency.
Now, let's evaluate four possible scenarios, gradually harder to achieve: let's imagine that HIVE gets, in order, to the 100th, 20th, 10th, and finally first place in the aforementioned ranking, currently led firmly by the mother of all cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin.
To reach the 100th place, HIVE would have to achieve a market cap of about $380,000,000.00, slightly less than double the current one: this is certainly an achievable value within HIVE's reach, considering also the current bear market.
Such a market capitalization would correspond to a HIVE value of about $0.83: this is even lower than the ATH (about $3.00).
Second step: 20th position, thus going to undermine Chainlink and reaching a capitalization of about $3,500,000,000.00.
The leap forward this time is huge: it's an increase of about 18 times.
With this market cap, HIVE would have a value of about $7.61: this is an extremely high value that, today, seems very distant and unrealistic, at least in the short to medium term... yet we are only in 20th place!
Let's move to 10th place: over $10,300,000,000.00, going up against Dogecoin, a memecoin (quite unbelievable...).
At this market capitalization, the value of each HIVE skyrockets to $22.40...anyone with at least 45,000 HP would become a millionaire!
And finally, let's aim big and, utopically, look even at first place, achieving an improbable "flippening" of the king, Bitcoin, reaching the beauty of over $430,000,000,000.00 in market capitalization.
HIVE's value would reach an astronomical $934.78...with my 2,000 HP I would be a multimillionaire, not bad!
Impressive numbers, as you go up, but which also appear, at the present time, very difficult to reach: how far can we go? Impossible to say, because Hive is a blockchain currently extremely undervalued, with a market capitalization that doesn't correspond to its immense potential but is only the result of a market that, as yet, hasn't been able to grasp the possibilities of this chain.
Will the wind change sooner or later? Many of us, of course, hope so, but we must first remind ourselves that HIVE is much more than just "value": Hive is decentralization, security, freedom of expression, ownership and protection of one's work, and... much more.
Looking at market capitalization may be fun, but it doesn't do justice to Hive: being part of the network is an investment, but it is also a way to contribute to the growth of the entire ecosystem, trying to bring to life a future in which each individual is free to express themselfves - respecting others first - while maintaining full ownership of their content.
What, then, is the ideal HP value that each of us should have? For me, the right answer is only one, and that is "as much as possible": because, whatever its market cap, HIVE is a unique project and there is no reason to stop continuing to grow more and more, steadily increasing one's contribution to the whole ecosystem.
One final note: the numers I've written above are referred to the date I wrote this post (February 26, 2023) and do not take into account the inflationary nature of HIVE, as the supply is constantly increasing.

Sogni ed HIVE
Prima o poi tutti abbiamo fantastico sul valore che HIVE potrà raggiungere un giorno; che si tratti di un nuovo utente o di qualcuno già registrato da anni, in un mondo in fermento e volatile quale è quello dello criptovalute è inevitabile, ogni tanto, fermarsi e chiedersi: fin dove potremo arrivare?
E quando si parla di Hive, il dubbio è sicuramente lecito, date le enorme potenzialità che questa chain possiede e la sua attuale bassissima diffusione tra il grande pubblico.
Perchè se ciò cambiasse - e sono tanti i motivi per pensare che ciò, prima o poi, debba succedere - a quale valore potremmo vedere arrivare HIVE? 10 dollari? 100 dollari? 1.000 dollari? Ancora di più? O molto meno?
Capirlo, ovviamente, non è facile e, anche identificando uno o più valori possibili, sono tanti i fattori che dovranno combinarsi nel modo giusto affinchè alcuni di questi possano diventare realtà...
Tuttavia, capire quali di questi valori siano credibili e quali, invece, siano praticamente fantascienza, può comunque essere una informazione utile, soprattutto ove si volesse individuare il numero di HP "ideale" da possedere nell'ottica di raggiungere un domani una eventuale indipendenza finanziaria.
Per provare a trovare questa risposta, possiamo perciò utilizzare l'attuale capitalizzazione di mercato di HIVE e confrontarla con quella di altri token e criptovalute, individuando così quale valore di HIVE corrisponderebbe a quella determinata capitalizzazione di mercato.
Per prima cosa, l'attuale capitalizzazione di mercato di HIVE è di circa 200.000.000,00 di dollari, valore che ci posiziona al 168 posto tra le criptovalute più capitalizzate.
Ora, valutiamo quattro possibili scenari, via via più difficili da raggiungere: immaginiamo che HIVE ottenga, nell'ordine, il 100, il 20, il 10 ed infine il primo posto nella sopra citata classifica, attualmente condotta saldamente dalla madre di tutte le criptovalute, ossia Bitcoin.
Per raggiungere il 100esimo posto, HIVE dovrebbe ottenere una capitalizzazione di mercato pari a circa 380.000.000,00 di dollari, poco meno del doppio dell'attuale: si tratta di un valore sicuramente credibile ed alla portata di HIVE, considerato anche l'attuale bear market.
Ad una tale capitalizzazione corrisponderebbe un valore di HIVE pari a circa 0,83 dollari: si tratta di un valore addirittura inferiore all'ATH (circa 3,00 dollari).
Secondo step: 20esima posizione, andando quindi a scalzare Chainlink e raggiungendo una capitalizzazione pari a circa 3.500.000.000,00 di dollari.
Il balzo in avanti, stavolta, è enorme: si tratta di un aumento pari a circa 18 volte.
Con questa capitalizzazione, HIVE avrebbe un valore pari a circa 7,61 dollari: si tratta di un valore estremamente alto che, allo stato, attuale appare molto lontano e poco realistico, almeno nel breve-medio termine... eppure siamo solo al 20esimo posto!
Passiamo al 10ecimo posto: oltre 10.300.000.000,00 di dollari, andando a dare battaglia a Dogecoin, una memecoin (pensa te...).
A questa capitalizzazione il valore di ogni singolo HIVE schizza a 22,40 dollari... chiunque abbia almeno 45.000 HP diverrebbe milionario!
E per finire, puntiamo in grande e, molto utopicamente, prendiamo in considerazione anche il primo posto, realizzando un improbabile "flippening" ai danni del re, Bitcoin, arrivando alla bellezza di oltre 430.000.000.000,00 di dollari di capitalizzazione.
Il valore di HIVE raggiungerebbe l'astronomica cifra di 934,78 dollari... con i miei 2.000 HP sarei un multimilionario, non male!
Numeri impressionanti, via via che si sale, ma che appaiono, attualmente, anche molto difficili da raggiungere: fin dove potremo arrivare? Impossibile a darsi, perchè Hive è una blockchain attualmente estremamente sottostimata, con una capitalizzazione che non corrisponde alle sue immense potenzialità ma è solo frutto di un mercato che, ancora, non è stato in grado di cogliere le possibilità di questa chain.
Prima o poi il vento cambierà? In molti, naturalmente, speriamo di sì, ma dobbiamo prima di tutto ricordarci che HIVE è molto più che un semplice "valore": Hive è decentralizzazione, sicurezza, libertà di espressione, proprietà e tutela del proprio lavoro e... molto altro.
Guardare alla capitalizzazione può essere divertente, ma non rende giustizia ad Hive: fare parte del network è un investimento, ma anche un modo per contribuire alla crescita dell'intero ecosistema, cercando di dar vita ad un futuro in cui ogni individuo sia libero di esprimere sè stesso - nell'assoluto rispetto degli altri - mantenendo la piena proprietà dei propri contenuti.
Quale è quindi il valore di HP ideale che ognuno di noi dovrebbe arrivare a possedere? Per me la risposta giusta è una sola, ossia "il più possibile": perchè, quale che sia la sua capitalizzazione, HIVE è un progetto unico e non ci sono ragioni per smettere di continuare a crescere sempre più, aumentando in maniera costante il proprio apporto all'interno di questo ecosistema.
Un'ultima precisazione: i calcoli che ho fatto sono riferiti alla data in cui ho scritto questo post (26 febbraio 2023) e non tengono conto della natura inflazionaria di HIVE, per cui la supply è in costante aumento.
In ogni caso, secondo voi, nell'arco 1-2 anni a quale capitalizzazione di mercato potrebbe arrivare HIVE?
