The legacy economy is in shambles. The pandemic lockdowns has caused more economic suffering than anyone could have possibly imagined. Much of the global service sectors are now starting to slowly recover. Yet, many businesses may never return.
Out of touch politicians have clamored to send checks to millions of people. This of course is a band aid to a bigger problem. The problem is income. Or a lack there of.
Money is tight for most people and families. Some are a job loss or a paycheck away from losing everything. Even worse some have in fact lost it all. Yet, most don’t seem to care or address the issue.
Well it is an issue none the less. It is an issue that is not going away any time soon. Income insecurity is at an all time high in America. Suffice it to say the legacy economy has run it’s course.
Many look to Government to provide safety nets of last resort. Yet, when the time comes to collect the resources may be gone or hypothecated; see social security. Or even worse unemployment funds may become unavailable or fraudulently stolen; see California.
If the entire year of 2020 has shown us anything it is that the legacy economy was not prepared for the new age. It is a system built upon old rules with the old fart gate keepers. Central planners have a plan until they don’t.
And these planners are like absentee landlords. They dictate rules yet forget about their tenants well being. Managing from a distance they are out of touch with the real world. Many dictate from ivory towers yet don’t understand the plight of the average person.
They read charts and spew stats that have been skewed. And consult with their political and banker masters. Yet, they continue to ignore their greatest strength and weakness. And that would be the average person.
You see no one bothers to ask if we the people are happy with the legacy system. And if you asked the average person on the street many would be shocked at the answer. Unsustainable comes to mind when speaking of this system.
Thankfully a new day is on the horizon. Of course it is not perfect. Blockchain is now here to make the necessary economic changes that the old farts won’t. Bitcoin has made it’s mark.
Now that the foundation has been created it is time for play to earn. Or get paid to do what you already do. Luckily, we have all that you need here on Hive/Leo. Gaming, blogging, exercise, etc.
Now earning in the new economy will be an adjustment for most. Many won’t be used to the new abundance that will be created. But that is ok. Soon it will become the standard.
Looking at the bigger picture we can see how this begins to take shape. Many in the world are struggling daily including in America. Most will begin to look for alternatives. Survival will prompt many to turn to crypto.
And in that regard people will become crypto’s greatest strength.
