A couple of things will radically change as crypto becomes more widely utilized. The fact that building applications with rules of blockchain technology will be a fancy piece of the growing business space, many wide spread sectors will see individual companies, corporate businesses and government institutions flood in so this leaves a few questions on how some of this sectors actually benefit from blockchain technology and how they benefit the public by leveraging the same technology to build.
A couple of these sectors are sports, music, movies and gaming.
In the past, the public had very little influence on the developments or inner workings of companies in the sectors, this may radically change as blockchain emerges as a new building environment which means governance becomes distributed and organisations and companies are forced to adopt a system that will be governed by distributed consensus.
If we look at the entertainment industry, there's a lot of bullshits currently going on and it's really becoming worrisome as things like TV shows, movies and series are no longer safe for children to watch and I'm not talking about the usual old stuff but the weirdly forced culture that is spreading really fast. Not that I care but at least such works should have warnings given to the public to understand what to expect in the film, this allows parents to protect their kids and possibly themselves if they are highly sensible to it.
The fact is, the entertainment industry is so fucked right now so it's either these companies adjust or be replaced by ones emerging from the ecosystem.
Same thing applies to blockchain gaming as a new found ecosystem for gamers to monetize what they know how to do best. Now although it is still very new to the world, it holds a lot of potential as it has a rather huge audience.
The more influence gamers have in the developments of game structures and economies going forward, the more stronger the ecosystem will get. The value of blockchain games is the influence it offers players to get involved in the development of the things they spend their time on.
Management teams, developers teams, and marketing teams sometimes do not have the right business ideas or development ideas so a system of public contributions allows these projects to attain more efficiency in how they build and grow.
As with music fans earning more direct access to artists, movie freaks tapping into the value generated by their favourite shows and sports fans having direct access to team players and to crown it all, the much inevitable future where more impactful influence is granted to these people to get involved in advancing systems, we are onto building and growing within the next generation economy built and controlled by the public. No more powerless users who utilize applications daily but cannot move to influence its evolution given the fact that as a user, it is rather easier to understand what would be widely beneficial to you and others as the literal audience of the project.
Blockchain games are underrated, understated and underutilized at the moment, just like many other crypto structures such as DeFi protocols, Web3 socials and poor utilization of NFTs. However, that will not be the case for long.
