Today I woke up to good news. Hive has touched 1$. Though it did not stay there for a long time, I'm glad that we were able to touch 1 USD in value. Another good news is that Hive is now way beyond Steem in terms of value. This is the first time in the last few months, Hive is surpassing Steem.
I'm really glad that I was holding my Hive tight. Even today I have all my Hive powered up. I did not power down Hive even once. I wouldn't be able to sell Hive now if the price hits 1$ and goes down again. That usually happens. When the price hits 1$ there will be huge resistance to bring the price down. There will be many people trying to sell Hive and book profit.
Last year when Hive hit 1$, there were lots of people selling and booking profits and that brought the price down again. But this time I feel it is looking different. Even though there is a huge selling pressure, there are many people who are just getting started with Hive.
I should say that Leofinance is one big thing that helps in talking about Hive to the outside world and bringing more new people. If we keep getting new features and new things in our community, I'm sure we will be able to onboard lots of people which will, in turn, diversify the reward pool to many people. This is a good thing for the Ecosystem.
Hive is a purely community-driven project. Even though we have some Wizards here who had been there for more than 4 years protecting the decentralization of this chain, I believe the core chain is always decentralized and is community-driven. The number of developers on-chain who are building new projects has also increased. This gives more opportunity for the chain to grow.
Trying to book a small profit
I was thinking of booking a small profit here for a small amount of Hive. I checked my wallet and noticed that there was only 42 Hive in my wallet. Then when I quickly checked my Hive Engine, I notice that I have a little over 300 Hive. I thought of selling a minimum of 150 Hive for this price and booking a profit.
But looks like I was late for the party. Many people had already cleared the Hive liquidity on both Beeswap as well as Leodex. The only option that I have right now is to use Hive Engine withdraw option and pay a 1% withdrawal fee to get my tokens out. I don't think I would be interested to do that. I will hope the price stays strong over 1$ giving a good opportunity for selling in the future.
