Today we are starting a fresh new year. This is celebrated across the world and it is also believed that a new year brings more prosperity and opportunities to everyone. I would like to wish everyone a Happy new year. Today is the first date of a new month and this also reminds us that it is time to power up. I started this new year with a power-up of 500 HP to my account.
I had a goal to reach 50k Hive power before the end of 2022. I achieved that a month back and I'm almost near 51k Hive power. Even though I completed my goal, I'm planning to do some power-ups every month this year as well. Powering up and having decent Hive power is the only way to get passive income in the form of curation rewards. The price of Hive is very good right now and it gives a great opportunity to purchase more Hive and power up. Last year by this time the price of Hive was at its peak. So after this crypto winter is over, I'm sure the price would recover back.
My Monthly report
A few days back I shared my yearly Hive report. If anyone missed that post, you can make use of the below portal to check your 2022 stats as well.
It appears that the value I was getting about a year back was very good compared to what I have been getting now. But one good thing is that the quantity of Hive I'm getting right now from author rewards is still good. The quantity of Hive in curation rewards is also good which makes it motivating to write more and get as much as Hive possible when the market is down.
Compared to last month the value is very less but the HP quantity is very good. As long as the price of Hive is going to be low, this is going to be the case. 900 HP worth of author rewards are pretty good I would say. I'm not going to look at the value it currently has in the market. Maybe my author rewards are not as great as how they used to be but the quantity is good right now. In addition to my main account, I have also been accumulating my witness rewards in my secondary account. There is also an HBD stake there that gives me some passive income.
I hardly write any articles on my secondary account. Even if I write, it would mostly be technical blogs. I have that account actively working for witness and HBD earnings. 47 HBD as interest in the last month is pretty decent. If I double my current HBD holdings, I guess I can reach 100 HBD per month which is again pretty decent for a passive income. The witness earnings were good last month but this month it is low in value I guess the total HP received is better.
I have delegated some HP from this account to @stickupcurator to earn some LGN rewards. This might reduce the curation rewards I get on this account which were not very high anyways. The next attractive thing is the HBD in the savings. I was able to add some more HBD to my savings last month. I'm going to keep adding more to my savings in the coming year as well. Let's see how big it can grow. towards the end of the year.
My power-up report
All the earnings I get from blogging and curation anyways go to Hive Power but in addition to that I'm powering up every month to increase my earnings further. This month again I powered up 500 Hive and the above table is what I have been maintaining to check the powerup data.
