I now have a consistent record of powering up 2000 Hive power every month. This month again, I was able to power up 2000 Hive power to my primary account. This has now brought my total effective hive power to 145k Hive power. I had a soft goal of reaching 150k Hive power before the end of this year. Now I have the confidence that I will be able to reach that Hive power goal.
Everyone is waiting to see Hive have a good pump. For a very long time, the price of Hive is very low and it has not even reached 50 cents. There was some good movement in the price of BTC, and there was also a new all-time high happening, but no big movement in the value of Hive. I noticed that increasing the Hive power after we reach 100k Hive in total is somewhat easier compared to having low Hive power. The increase happens in the form of more curation rewards. Let's take a look at the stats of my account from last month.
It looks like I didn't get any author rewards for about two or 3 days last month. Otherwise, I think I was able to get the rewards on all the other days. I don't remember missing any days in writing articles, so I'm not sure what that gap is about. But I'm very glad that my curation rewards are slowly catching up with the author rewards. This means that I'm having very good amount of passive income in the form of curation rewards. The author's reward is more like an active income, for which I have to contribute and write articles. Even for curation, I have to make sure I curate only the right accounts. I'm glad that there is decent growth happening on my account, and every month I'm able to power up a decent amount of Hive.
Stats from my secondary account is also looking a bit decent. Mostly, it is for the witness rewards that I'm getting. I have a small amount of HBD staked on that account that also gives interest. Sometimes I have a thought that I should write some technical articles on that account, at least one per week or something, but I couldn't manage my time to write them. Hopefully, something like that will happen in the future. Investing on HBD and earning 15 percent APR from that itself is an excellent thing. At least we should do enough marketing and onboard people just for that alone.
